History

Greg Gilmour was a member of the Gilmour Bros., an Irish folk ensemble that included his brother, John Gilmour. Between 1975 and 1982, the band released five studio albums. Greg's musical abilities were diverse, spanning a wide range of instruments. He also contributed vocals to the band's recording sessions.

Lawsuits

Using the case of Department of Revenue versus Gilmour, Gregory, the Wisconsin Court System filed case number 1999TW001590 on November 11, 1999, citing a case of the Wisconsin Court System. Co-defendant Kathleen Gilmour was also a party to the lawsuit. It was in connection with a civil judgement for a deliquent tax warrant in the sum of $6,722.32 that had been entered against him. The case was decided on July 14, 1999, and the judgement was entered. The remaining $686.32 represented interest on the verdict, with the first $6,722.32 representing income tax and the second $6,036.00 representing interest on the verdict.
Case number 1999TW001589 was also filed on the same day in November as case number 1999TW001589. On yet another occasion, the Gilmours, Gregory and Kathleen, were identified as the defendants. The matter was finally resolved on October 27, 1998, with a judgement in the amount of $7,878.35. The income tax portion of that sum totaled $6,479.00, with the remaining $1,399.35 coming from the interest earned on the verdict.
According to the online database of the Wisconsin Court System, neither case has been dismissed, and the status of each case is still listed as "live."
