Both Knickman and Rose Amway are separate people with their own unique histories, yet they are connected in some manner to the well-known direct sales corporation Amway. Ed Knickman and Rose Amway both worked there.

Ed Knickman, popularly known as "Diamond Ed," is a prosperous Amway distributor who has been affiliated with the firm since the early 1980s. Knickman has earned the nickname "Diamond Ed" over the years. 

When he was just 22 years old and having trouble making ends meet, he began his career with Amway and has never looked back.

 Because of his dedication and hard work, he rose to the ranks of the company's most successful distributors and was awarded the coveted Diamond title.

 He has been a featured speaker at Amway events and has told his tale of success to thousands of people in dozens of countries all over the world. Knickman is well-known for his devotion to his work, his perseverance, and his upbeat demeanor.

On the other hand, there is no such thing as a person named Rose Amway. The name of the business, which is a portmanteau of the phrase "American Way," was established in 1959 by Rich DeVos and Jay Van Andel. "Amway" is also the name of the corporation. 

Amway is a corporation that engages in direct marketing and provides a wide range of items in several different areas, including health, beauty, and home care. The corporation has its headquarters in Ada, Michigan, although its operations can be found in more than one hundred nations worldwide.

Amway is a well-known brand in the direct selling sector and has been the focus of both acclaim and condemnation at various points in time. Amway's backers refer to the company's business strategy, which encourages entrepreneurs to go into business for themselves and gives them the flexibility to set their own hours. 

However, some people believe that because the company places so much emphasis on recruiting new distributors, it may end up creating a structure similar to a pyramid in which those at the very top receive the majority of the profits.

Amway has continued to be a profitable and prominent firm in the direct selling market despite the criticism that has surrounded the brand. 

The corporation has earned recognition for its humanitarian endeavors, including its support of the Special Olympics, and has maintained a position among the top 50 privately held firms in the United States year after year.

Rose Amway is not a real person; rather, she is the name of the direct sales organization that was established in 1959. In conclusion, Ed Knickman is a prosperous Amway distributor who has a long and motivational backstory, whereas Rose Amway is the name of the company that was established in 1959.

 Amway has maintained its position as a profitable and prominent corporation within the direct selling sector despite receiving praise and criticism over the course of its history.

Al and Mary Anne were both employed in the military industry at the time they came across the company idea. An electronic engineer, Al was involved in the development of cutting-edge electronic warfare systems for U.S. Navy surface warships, while Mary Anne was involved in the design and building of computer-aided navy ship design and construction. When they originally walked into the firm, they had no idea it would lead them to such a bright and successful future. The days when we didn't imagine we'd ever get a chance like this in life are long gone," they say. As a result of our self-perceptions, we believed that everyone else would perform better than we did. However, if you have a desire and are willing to put your heart and soul into it, this business is for you,' Al and Mary Anne believe.

"We've been free for more than 25 years now," said the group. I enjoy my lifestyle because it provides financial incentives, fantastic friendships, free excursions to exotic locations that most people can only dream of, the flexibility to live wherever we want, do whatever we want, and travel wherever we want without being held accountable by anyone else.

In a nutshell, we've decided to live life to the fullest rather than simply letting it pass us by,' Al explains.

"There is no doubt that this business is legitimate and can be successful for anyone," they advise. Doing business in this manner is a wise decision. Historically, it has made a great deal of sense, but it makes even more sense in today's financial context, which is marked by cuts, layoffs, pink slips, and pension uncertainty.

 However, the fact that they lived thousands of miles away from anyone was insignificant; they had made a commitment.

"Ray and Karla Keller were on the fast track to a successful marriage. They had good-paying jobs in Florida, as well as a corporate car and a nice place to live. 

In the meantime, Ray desired an aeroplane, and Karla want horses, so an invitation to start a business alongside their current professions seemed worthwhile. 

Then the company for which they worked went bankrupt, taking with it their car, their salary, and their home with it. 

Ray had previously worked as a high school teacher, but he had grown up on a farm in Arkansas and was familiar with the agricultural industry, so they decided to go there. 

Soon after, he and Karla realised that they needed alternatives and recalled the firm they had started together. 

The fact that they lived hundreds of miles away from everyone else didn't matter to them because they had made a promise. 

They were determined to make this venture a success, and they committed their entire time to its growth. 

They were now completely liberated on a personal level. The couple has been able to work from home and be present for their children since they were born, adds Raymond. 

They have a large home on 17 acres of land that is surrounded by trees and has a basketball court. "They have gained many lovely friends through their business and are enjoying the life of their dreams.

It was when Ray was 25 years old and Karla was 22 years old that they made the decision to join the Diamond team. It took a while after that to get here;

Jones, Jim & Julie Amway

 Is "keeping up with the Joneses" just a catchphrase, or is there more to it? At the time of their initial introduction to the Amway Business in 1977, Jim and Julie Jones were living a lifestyle that most people could only dream of. 

His earnings placed him in the top 5% of all Florida attorneys in terms of earnings. She had previously worked as a qualified nurse before she and her husband started their family. 

They were active in a number of different enterprises during the time. They completed the construction of their dream home before turning thirty. Both of them were pilots. 

They learned to ski while travelling through Europe. They had a great day on the greatest beaches. The expression "keeping up with the Joneses" was undoubtedly appropriate. 

However, not everything was as it appeared. Despite the fact that "we enjoyed a nice lifestyle," Jim explains, "I didn't want to be reliant on my trial job as our sole source of income.

" In search of anything with a high income potential and little financial risk, I was continually on the hunt for opportunities.

" Jim was a fantastic candidate for the Amway company's recruitment programme.

"Actually," he admits with a grin, "I didn't even know the person who introduced us to this chance." He relocated to our neighbourhood and began attending our church services. 

In the course of our conversation, I learned more about the company in which he was involved. I eventually phoned him and asked if he would be willing to demonstrate what he was doing. 

In fact, I inquired as to whether or not I might bring two buddies with me. We got together for a while.

I was fascinated, so I decided to look into it further. I contacted attorneys general all over the country to find out more about the company that was sponsoring the event. 

I worked in the retail credit check industry. I contacted every source I could find, including the office of a United States Senator. 

Everything continued to pass muster. The following day, we flew to Miami for a large conference that included Dexter Yager. 

That was the deciding factor for us. We rose through the ranks swiftly and were promoted to the Direct level in a relatively short amount of time. 

In less than three years, we were awarded the status of Diamonds!

Jones, Jim & Julie

Before anyone gets the impression that the Joneses had an easy road to Diamond, Jim points out a well-traveled route that they had taken.

"The legal profession is a really unpleasant environment," he continues. To remain objective, you must have a healthy dose of cynicism. I was well aware that I had a lot of maturing to do. Julie and I started doing everything we could to make this business a success from the day we made the decision to pursue it. It has been over a decade since we have missed a function."

Life has taken on the character of a living geography lesson. For several years, they travelled over the country in a motor coach, lecturing and expanding their business while their children, Jennifer and Jenise, were growing up. They made their home in Florida. Jim has published several books, one of which was featured in a Billy Graham sermon. He and his wife, Julie, are well-known public speakers. In order to visit their favourite vacation spots and ski resorts, they travel all over the world.

According to Jim, "It's a wonderful existence." "We earn the same amount of money as those in more traditional occupations, but we have complete flexibility." For the record, there are many attorneys who want to be Diamonds, but I know of no Diamonds who want to be a lawyer!"

"Keeping up with the Joneses" appears to be an excellent concept when it comes to Jim and Julie.

Johnson, Marshall & Sherunda Amway

 When Marshall Johnson first visited this establishment in 1977, he was a member of the Baltimore Colts' professional football team. 

With two previous knee surgeries on the same knee, "the future looked a little dicey," Marshall says, particularly given his position as a wide receiver with the New York Jets. 

Financial security has suddenly risen to the top of the priority list.

"When a teammate, David Taylor, gave me the business plan, I was more concerned with chasing my football aspirations," Marshall recounts. 

"I was more concerned with pursuing my football objectives." Marshall finally decided to take the jump after a month of persistent persuasion from David. 

Marshall returned to his hometown of Houston, Texas, in January 1978, and immediately began expanding his firm.

"Numerous people, including my friends, relatives, and neighbours, advised me that it would not work. 

The situation will not last. It's a white man's world, after all. All of the remarks I heard were variations on the theme of "you are being used.

" I now had a new sense of purpose. I needed to demonstrate that it was possible for an African-American who resided 1500 miles away from his sponsor to complete the task. 

I kept telling others about my proposal, hoping to find some people who had their eyes open, a dream in their hearts, and the fortitude to work hard and disregard the naysayers. 

I tracked them down one by one. Despite the fact that I had to leave Houston in order to play football in Baltimore for the following season, I was surrounded by people who were determined to pursue their dreams."

When Marshall returned to Houston in January of the following year, he made the decision to upgrade to the Platinum level. 

His absence from training camp in July was not due to a pressing necessity to do so "financially." By the end of August, he had been released from his position on the team. 

It was not a traumatic event in any way. It was more like being released from prison because of excellent behaviour!

Marshall also reached the Ruby level during the month of August. 

Marshall's three boys, Markus, Kevin, and David, were six, four, and two years old, respectively, when Marshall decided to go Diamond. 

Today, the sons are actively involved in their father's business, assisting him in his growth. It truly is a family-run enterprise!

"This has been an interesting journey that has taken me all around the world and to about every state in the United States. 

I enjoy being involved in the lives of others in a positive way, and my greatest asset is the friendships I have developed.

" When Marshall moved into a new home, he kept the furniture in the previous one and turned it into an office for the time being. 

The delivery of new furniture to the new residence was completed. That is definitely the way to move forward!

"I'm out here to assist individuals in achieving their goals of freedom. No longer subjected to tyrannical managers and bill collectors. 

Allowing people to live in the home of their dreams while also enjoying peace of mind. I'm still giddy with excitement about spreading the message of hope that this company provides."

 When Maryanna came upon the business presentation, the timing couldn't have been better. 

As a wife and young mother, she wished to find a means to generate some additional income in order to pay the monthly payments and get out of debt as quickly as possible. 

She had been married for ten years, had given birth to four children, and had moved eight times with her husband during that period. 

She was ready for a fresh start. After a sluggish start that yielded no results, she attended an event where she observed others who had achieved success. 

She was overjoyed to discover that her own success was contingent on her ability to assist others in their own accomplishment. 

Having adopted a new outlook, she became more focused on her goals of providing financial security for her family and becoming a 'free' mother. 

She followed in the footsteps of her upline, Lew Riggan, and proceeded to build a network of Business Owners under her leadership. 

She was able to overcome several obstacles with the assistance of God, her spouse, friends, and family members. As a Diamond IBO, she was able to achieve financial independence in just two years.

While attending private Christian schools, sailing on European sailing ships, and studying at private colleges and institutions, she was able to provide her children with some exceptional educational possibilities. 

Her family was able to traverse nearly the entire circumference of the globe.

As a result of the bankruptcy of Braniff Airlines, not once but three times, and her husband's loss of employment as a Captain, she faced difficulties. 

This period allowed Maryanna to return to college and earn her degree as a registered nurse in the process. 

It was a trying moment for her; her brother had died of cancer, her mother need further care, and her marriage had collapsed. 

She did, however, have financial options, as well as a steady stream of revenue from her business and promises to keep. 

Maryanna now resides in the mountains of Colorado, where she enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle with her family. 

The BWW team, including Darlene Woodall, Lew Riggan and the Millers, as well as her upline, provide her with tremendous support as she consults and creates a global business with an emphasis on health, beauty, nutrition, and other related topics. 

She is also backed by the Britts and the Millers. She is thrilled to be working in an industry with such tremendous development potential. 

It is clear to me that this business has been an amazing blessing to me, and I am enthusiastic about sharing it with others.

 The concept that Tom and Estelle were pursuing when they were presented to the Britt team was "Grow up, get a decent education, acquire a good career, and work very, really hard to climb the ladder of success."

The fact that they came from completely different backgrounds when they met during their final year of high school didn't matter; they had both been hard workers their entire lives, and this mentality just felt like the natural path to make their ambitions come true. 

Tom met Estelle, who had already relocated 11 times and attended 13 different schools by the time they met.

Estelle was the daughter of an Army colonel. "Being the new kid at the beginning of my senior year was definitely a challenge,' she recalls."

Tom was raised in a large and close-knit family, so he found it relatively easy to extend his heart to others as well. 

Together, Tom and Estelle attended a five-year undergraduate programme at a different institution. 

Tom acquired an electrical engineering degree in four years after putting in the effort, while Estelle earned degrees in primary and special education in the same time frame, both in four years.

Following graduation, Tom accepted a position with the Department of the Navy in Washington, DC, and Estelle began working as a teacher shortly after their marriage. 

"Here we were, two college-educated professionals who were struggling to make ends meet in a one-bedroom apartment in the Northern Virginia area. 

"The only option we could think of to get forward was to enrol in graduate school and hope that we would be successful," Estelle remembers.

In Tom's words, "we kind of fell into this industry by mistake." "I overheard Al Fratantuono discussing an additional professional-level secondary income with my supervisor, and I was intrigued.

 Al and I were physically chasing each other around for two weeks trying to figure out what he was talking about."

"We really didn't have time to start a business," Estelle continues. I was pursuing my master's degree in special education at the time, while Tom was enrolled in a combined masters/doctoral programme in computer engineering. 

Tom and I were both working full-time at the time. "We made the most of the limited time we were given."

The Joachims now enjoy a lifestyle that they could only have imagined a few years ago as a result of this great opportunity. 

To spend more time with her two boys, Tommy and Danny, Estelle has long since retired from the teaching profession. 

\GM15 supervisory post with the federal government, Tom was spirited away in a white stretch limousine on the 16th of June, 1995 in front of the Department of the Navy. 

He had just said goodbye to his colleagues and was on his way to the land of freedom.

Tom and Estelle both agree that being completely debt-free is a wonderful feeling. 

"Knowing that our 5300-square-foot home, as well as our cars and boat, are completely paid for is a wonderful feeling. 

Traveling the world's beaches with our friends and business associates, Al and Mary Anne Fratantuono, as well as the other people of character who make up the Britt team, is a dream come true for me and my wife.

But, in the end, all of our financial prosperity pales in contrast to our greatest achievement, which is being full-time parents and mentors to our two extraordinary sons. 

We are making our ambitions come true by dedication, tenacity, and having a 'never-quit' mentality."

Story

In an interview for the Hurts' business, a friend of the family advised, "Go talk to Ty Hurt, he'll do anything for a dollar."

And he was already there. In addition to the fact that Ty and Janie Hurt are both hairdressers, Ty also has his own beauty school during the week and a car wash business during the weekends.

They were willing to consider anything because they were living in a trailer park with five children. After pestering me for five months to view the plan, I realised it was a ruse as soon as I laid eyes on it. 

Because Ty was so combative at the meeting, he was able to persuade the other five couples that they should leave rather than join - and they did!

Ty, on the other hand, waited for another four hours, haggling with his sponsor until he agreed to participate.

Approximately six months after Ty attended a session where a representative from the Texas Attorney General's office spoke about the strength and integrity of the company, Janie was able to leave her work and devote her time exclusively to her children. 

And, seven months later, they were bringing in more money than we had ever made in our whole business history.

"I feel that when you believe in the possibilities, the trip is enjoyable. The voyage was committed because we were there every night of the week for it. 

It was not, however, a sacrifice. Sacrifice is only necessary when one does not believe in the dream."

"While working in what John calls a "big-time rut" for three years prior to beginning their firm, John and Maria Herren put in 10-12 hours per day, seven days per week without taking any time off. 

He held an MBA and owned and operated real estate offices on the Monterey Peninsula in California. 

Maria worked as a secretary and a property manager in the same company. 

Despite the fact that they were hardworking and industrious individuals, they discovered that their real estate partner had filed for bankruptcy while they were away on a business trip only a few months after starting their own business. 

"When I arrived to the office, I saw that it was closed. The furnishings and filing cabinets were no longer in the building. 

There was only one phone, a red one, in the centre of the room. Maria informed me that we had enough money in savings to last three months if I decided to devote my time to the business full-time, which I did. 

We got to work right away." Maria remembers how much John enjoyed chaperoning school field trips when the children were younger. 

" One of our daughter's little friends commented after around the third occasion, when he was the only father present, "Gina, your daddy is really wonderful."

Harris, Bobby & Priscilla Amway

 Bobby Harris realised that something needed to change after 16 years of coaching baseball and basketball, as well as teaching physical education in northern Virginia. 

Despite his complete dedication to his work, he was well aware that his profession did not provide a sufficient salary to support his wife and two children.

Even though Priscilla had worked as a secretary, she and Bobby decided it was important for her to focus on parenting their two young sons.

As a result of Bobby working four jobs and being unable to spend much time with his family, they were introduced to a marketing company. "Why not?" they exclaimed upon hearing the news.

Throughout the night, Bobby stayed up reading the two books and listening to the cassette tapes that had been left with them by the person who had informed them of the business.

In the morning of the following day, around 8 a.m., Bobby knocked on his friend's door and said, "We're thrilled about this business... what do we do next?"

"The most important thing was to strictly adhere to the protocol," Bobby explains. "Through the Britt system, we were able to build the qualities that enabled us to achieve Diamond status.

" As soon as they reached the Ruby level, they purchased a five-bedroom mansion that was completely furnished (with most of the furniture coming from the Personal Shoppers Catalog), as well as new wardrobes, two new cars, a diamond ring and mink coat for Priscilla. 

They were also able to contribute more to charitable organisations. Bobby was 37 years old when he was granted his release in the same year.

Bobby and Priscilla were promoted to the Diamond level in 1985 as a result of their faith, hard work, and answered prayers. 

Since 1981, this firm has provided them with their sole source of income, and their kids, Bob and Bill, have literally grown up in the business. 

They have reaped the benefits of having a full-time mother and father, and they have taken pleasure in travelling with their parents to numerous exotic countries.

Bobby had a great time volunteering as an assistant basketball coach at Bill's high school, where he was able to help his son and the rest of the squad. 

The two of them were also happy with the opportunity to attend practically all of Bill's football games during his four years as a cornerback and safety at Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania, where he played cornerback and safety.

They were fortunate to have been able to send Priscilla's parents on a 50th wedding anniversary trip to the Bahamas and Hawaii, which they much enjoyed. 

It had always been Bobby's father's desire to travel on the Trans-Canadian Railroad across the Canadian Rockies to New England, and he and his wife were treated to this trip.

Today, Bobby and Priscilla have a high quality of life that they credit to their tenacity, hard work, loyalty, and the fact that they place God first in their lives. 

"The possibility presented by this business, we believe, is the ideal way to obtain what one desires in life: time and money, spiritual growth, and a fulfilling family life.

 As soon as we were introduced to this business opportunity, we knew it was something we needed. We were seeking for a means to generate some financial relief at the time. 

As educators in a rural community, we were doing everything we could to help our students succeed, but there just didn't appear to be enough funding.

The two of us became members of a company that hired us as employees and provided us with an endless potential to grow into business owners. 

This organisation supplied us with more than just opportunities; it also provided us with mentorship and training. 

Furthermore, it supplied far more than just enough money to see me through the end of the month, as well. 

It has given us the opportunity to be free of job obligations while also raising our family while travelling with them all over the world. 

In addition to making payments on bills, it allowed people to purchase items such as automobiles on a single payment plan. 

It presented us with a means of achieving debt freedom. What it really came down to was that it allowed us to live a life that allowed us to make the decisions that were best for our family. 

Choices. We made decisions on where to live, where to educate our children, and how and where to travel, among other things. 

Choices that are not driven by a wage or employment responsibilities, but rather by the freedom afforded to us by this company's existence.

 Margaret Hardy was born in Jamaica, West Indies, and immigrated to the United States when she was 15 years old. 

Terral Hardy, originally from Spartanburg, South Carolina, relocated to New York City as a youngster as well. Both families had travelled to the United States in pursuit of better possibilities.

Margaret and Terral met when they were in high school and quickly became inseparable. When Terral graduated from high school, he went on to study civil engineering, while Margaret pursued a degree in secretarial studies. 

Living in New York City provided them with several opportunity to "window shop" and fantasise about what their lives may be like.

However, after only a few short years of hard labour, they recognised that their ambitions would never become a reality as long as they continued to work for another person or company. 

When one of Terral's fellow engineers gave him the business plan, he immediately realised that it was actually a miracle and the answer to their prayers. 

Terral Andrew and Quentin Jemal are his two boys, and after 18 months in the firm, he decided to leave his engineering profession to be a full-time parent to his two sons. 

Terral and Margaret have accomplished their dream of being full-time parents, of enjoying nice autos, gorgeous homes, lovely family holidays, and the freedom of not having to work for someone else, thanks to their business. 

"Today, we are more enthusiastic than we have ever been about our business," they both concur. Our excellent upline Angelo and Claudia Nardone introduced us to the Britt Diamond team, and we consider ourselves extremely fortunate to be a part of it.

Distributors of Amway products are given the opportunity to establish their own companies with the assistance of the firm, which offers them with training, tools, and support.  Fran and I were a pretty busy young couple when we first came across the business. Two small children, ages three and four, lived with us, and both of us had full-time jobs to support them. 

Fran was employed as a health-care practitioner, and I was employed by a major automobile manufacturing company. 

I was also studying an engineering degree four nights a week during my spare time. We were living paycheck to paycheck, and there just wasn't enough money to go around.

Fran was completely unaware of our scheduled appointment to view a business opportunity, so when my friend arrived to explain the potential, she became extremely agitated. 

She was adamant about not being involved, but I decided to go ahead with it anyhow.

It was necessary for me to ask a buddy to hold my check until payday in order to register. We didn't do anything with the business after joining up until we were faced with a near-tragic situation. 

In the intensive care unit of the hospital, our oldest son came close to death from bronchial pneumonia, and it was then that we decided to bring Fran back home from her job as soon as possible.

We had no idea how to start a business, so we depended on the individual who introduced us to the programme to guide us through the process. 

We were able to match Fran's take-home earnings in seven months because to their expertise and our work ethic. 

Fran retired from her job when she was 27 years old, and I left my job five years later, when I was 33 years old.

In addition to us, our two children are both employed by the company. Eric, our eldest kid, is actually a downline member in his brother Al's corporation.

It's amazing how much has changed since that hot summer day in 1973 when we first came across this establishment. 

As a society, we have advanced tremendously, both monetarily and spiritually. We owe a debt of gratitude to God for all of our numerous benefits. 

We adore this company and the great people who work there.

Our long-term goal in this firm is to achieve higher levels of success; but, our immediate goal is to focus our efforts on supporting the individuals who work for us.

 After several years of teaching and coaching, Frances and Jake began to have doubts about the direction their financial future might take them. 

The Halter's were unable to find consolation in the fact that they would soon be joining their colleagues in retirement as they rejoiced with their colleagues.

Jake transferred his emphasis to real estate in the hopes of achieving financial independence, while Frances continued to work in the classroom.

Because to the market's collapse, the Halter family found themselves surviving on the pay of a single teacher for a while.

"It was a difficult moment for us," Frances recalled. Jake didn't hesitate to answer the phone when a buddy of his inquired about the possibility of forming a partnership. 

"When do we get started?" Jake said without hesitation.

Despite the fact that the Halters were newcomers to the area, they adopted the mantra "Have car, will travel" to guide them. After only 18 months in business, they were earning the same amount that they had earned as instructors. But, maybe most importantly, they were having a good time. 

The Emerald and Diamond jackpots were won after four and a half years in the business and all in the same year.

"I can't help but wonder what our life would have been like if we had both stayed in the teaching profession...

For starters, our teachers' retirement cheques wouldn't even be enough to cover our golfing expenses today."


Who's A Loser?

 I learned, and I believe Amway members still believe, that the people who succeed in Amway are winners, and those who don't aren't. Alternatively, you could argue that you were a winner because you were taking steps to improve your financial situation, whereas those who did not were losers. or a person who has lost his or her mind. Of course, the upline who made this statement had no knowledge of those who were not affiliated with Amway at the time. Some of them may have already been financially secure, while others may have been taking steps to improve their financial situation. If these uplines, who promote "positive," had to resort to calling people losers and simpy because they did not believe that Amway was the greatest thing to happen since sliced bread, I'm not sure what I'd make of it.


In many games or sporting events, there will be a winner and a loser. In many games or sporting events, there will be a winner and a loser. Losing a game does not automatically equate to being a loser, and a team that wins the game would not imply that the losing team was a loser. Think about a professional football team's coach standing on the podium after a game and proclaiming that his team won because the other team was a bunch of broken-minded, gutless losers. Can you imagine that? That would never happen in the real world, but it happens all the time in the Amway/IBO world. Rich DeVos, the owner of Amway, had once stated in a recorded message that just because people do not agree with you (paraphrased) about Amway does not automatically make them losers, and that independent business owners (IBOs) should refrain from labelling people losers.


People's jobs are also being criticised as a result of all of this. That a job is synonymous with phrases such as "just over broke" or "jackass of the boss," among other things. For many Internet marketers, their long-term goals and dreams include quitting their day jobs so that they can sleep all day and live a life of luxury. Ironically, it is the majority of IBOs' jobs that continue to generate income, allowing them to pay their bills and provide for their families. An IBO's responsibilities also include funding their Amway and AMO expenses, such as product purchases and functions, as well as voicemail, among other things. Most people would be unable to even join Amway or purchase any tools if they did not have a job. Unfortunately, most Independent Business Owners (IBOs) will not make any money in Amway and will be required to continue working at their current jobs. I do not believe that anyone who earns a decent living through employment is a loser in life. Ironically, many of the people who label others as losers are themselves not even making a profit from their Amway business!


Yes, there will be winners and losers in this business, just as there will be winners and losers in sports. The question is whether you are the one who has the authority to determine who is and who isn't allowed to participate. In addition, I believe that IBOs are completely sabotaging potential future business opportunities through their actions. Consider the following scenario: I went to a store to purchase something, but the item was not available on that particular day, so I did not make a purchase and simply left. As I walk out the door, the store owner tells me that I am a loser for not purchasing something from him. Is it likely that I'll return? It's highly unlikely. If an IBO truly believes that they are a store owner, they should consider all prospects as potential customers, whether they are in the future or present. In the event that your upline claims that people who are not interested are losers, you should offer him a mirror.


What's Likely In Amway?

Many independent business owners (IBOs) join Amway with the expectation of becoming diamonds and having a simple life after that. No longer employed, no longer under the control of a superior, and living in the lap of luxury After all, uplines parade themselves on stage, displaying slide shows and photographs of jets, mansions, sports cars, and other luxurious items. Apparently, they don't always inform the audience that the trappings may not actually be owned by the performers or the company. It still generates a lot of interest among the audience, and the speaker may encourage everyone to imagine themselves enjoying the same luxuries - provided they listen to their advice and follow their system.


Surprisingly, the majority of IBOs do absolutely nothing. In fact, many who sign up never place an order, and the vast majority of those who sign up will not renew their business after one year. These people, on the other hand, who essentially do nothing, are not the victims of deception. These people who "don't do anything" got back what they put into the company. It is the IBOs who put forth the necessary effort and invest in what are frequently marketed as "foolproof" tools who fall prey to the deception of the system's promoters. In many cases, new and continuing IBOs who are determined to succeed are told that they "need" the system, that they cannot possibly succeed without the tools, just as a carpenter cannot build a house without using a hammer and nails. So many IBOs, desiring a better life, will make the financial investment in the tools, believing that with that investment and a little elbow grease, they will be successful.


Unfortunately, the system does not function. Of course, there are some new diamonds discovered every now and then, but these are the exception rather than the norm. WWDB, my former LOS, appears to be moving backwards. Compared to when I was active in the diamond industry several years ago, I believe there are fewer diamonds available today. Furthermore, some WWDB diamonds were involved in home foreclosures or bankruptcy, and some were forced to leave the company entirely.


There is ZERO, I repeat, ZERO unbiased evidence that any of these system tools can assist someone in building an Amway business, according to the Amway Corporation. Demonstrating the success of a system by displaying a new diamond on stage proves nothing. What the diamonds don't show is that there are hundreds of thousands of people who may have attempted the same thing and failed. It's the equivalent of announcing the winners of a lottery. Sure, there will be winners, but the reality and the typical outcome will be a slew of losers pooling their resources in order for one big winner to emerge from the ashes. Despite the fact that the Amway business is not a game of chance, the final outcome and results are similar to those of a lottery.


Despite the fact that Amway diamonds and promoters enjoy showing people "what is possible," they fail to discuss with prospects "what is likely." You should be interested in knowing "what is likely" or "what are the typical results" when researching a business opportunity. If people only look for the best-case scenario results and ignore what is most likely to happen, they are almost certain to fail in their endeavours. The typical outcome for most IBOs is that they spend $300 per month on products, many of which they have never used before, and another $200 to $300 per month on training that does not work. That is typical and likely for many independent business owners who are actively involved in the business. Their monthly income is approximately $10, which represents a return on their time and financial investment. Sure, there are some diamonds who earn more than $100,000 per year from Amway, but that is an exceptional circumstance and not the most likely outcome of becoming a member of the Amway organisation.


Someone looking into a franchise opportunity, such as McDonald's, will want to know how much the average owner/operator earns in order to make an informed decision. The best case scenario is not helpful, and while a real business owner may be interested in the best case scenario, that same owner is likely to be more interested in the most likely outcomes. Why should Amway Independent Business Owners (IBOs) be any different?

They met while Barry was studying electrical engineering and Pat was pursuing her bachelor's degree in elementary education at the same time. 

Barry eventually went on to medical school, and they were married after only one year of his studies. 

He was board certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners in three separate medical disciplines - Internal Medicine, Nuclear Medicine, and Diagnostic Ultrasound - as well as by the American Board of Internal Medicine. 

It was there that Barry joined the faculty of Vanderbilt University Medical School, where they settled in Nashville, Tennessee.

Barry entered private practise in 1979 after seeing that his income potential as a professor at the university level was limited. Pat had a lot on her plate as a full-time mother and homemaker.

Barry and Pat believed that his medical practise, which earned him a salary in the top 1 percent of the income distribution, would provide them with the means to fulfil their objectives. 

They discovered, however, that they had little time to spend with one other or their children, or to do the things that were truly important to them in their lives. 

Because of the stress and frustration he was experiencing, Barry decided to have bypass surgery at the age of 37.

Pat understood at that point that she had no protection! When Pat's relatives presented them a business plan, he saw a solution and the two of them began their own company. 

Barry did not become enthused until several months later, when, according to him, "It was encouraging to see other young professionals like myself who were not just excellent in their industries, but who were also financially self-sufficient and able to manage their time. 

I also discovered a community of people that shared my beliefs, were honest and trustworthy, believed in the power of free business, and with whom I could be happy to be associated. 

We made the decision to proceed and were able to achieve the Platinum level in 12 months."

Barry was able to reduce his medical practise to a part-time basis as a result of reaching the Sapphire level. 

They made the decision to join Emerald in 1989, and Barry was able to completely retire from his medical practise in 1993, achieving the financial independence and personal freedom that they had hoped to achieve.

 As Barry explains, "Freedom is the capacity to govern your time, allowing you to live life as you like and do the things that are essential to you."

Our children, Julie (who is married) and Randy (who is self-employed), are among the things we look forward to doing together. 

Barry is also a licenced amateur radio operator and a collector of Lionel electric trains. The activities that Pat enjoys include reading, shopping, and decorating their home.

It was necessary for Barry to endure shoulder surgery and a second bypass operation during their Diamond qualification year. 

According to Pat, "we had amazing support from our business team, as well as from the many friends we have made through this business," and as a result, the company's revenue increased.

As Diamonds, their reward is the freedom, security, and peace of mind that comes with having the time, money, and independence to live life how they choose to live it, with friends, freedom, and security.
