Nardone, Angelo & Claudia Amway

Family means everything to the Nardones, and they feel their parenting skills transcend to their business. As Claudia comments, "Being a successful IBO is much like being a parent. You want your downline to be independent. You want to empower kids to make decisions, and to make sure they know the ramifications of those decisions. We aim to be absolutely honest and speak openly, and we're rarely disappointed in people." Angelo and Claudia are enlightened parents who make sure their home, in a suburb of Washington, DC, is a beautiful refuge for themselves and for their children, Sonny, Natalie, and Nick. Claudia's distinctive touch is obvious everywhere, especially in the creative displays of her vintage Christmas ornaments and shimmering antique purses. Angelo collects carousel animals, and owns a 500-pound camel! Working out on his gym equipment helped him get his Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. The Nardones have been in this company for nearly 25 years. Angelo recalls, "I started when I was obtaining a master's degree in special education at American University. I saw the business strategy and went to a conference. I didn't have any time, but I knew I could do it part-time." Angelo worked as a therapist for emotionally troubled children for seven years before becoming a full-time IBO. "When we started our firm, it was inside the local Virginia, Washington, and Maryland area. Today, our business spans the globe. It's like giving the planet a hug and having it hug you back. We love this business!"

Merris, John & Cathy Amway

Making it to Diamond signified a big milestone for the Merrises - their reward for years of relentless work by John and Cathy, and a bright future for their children: Julie, Natalie, Jessica, John, Nicole, and Joseph.Yet, they had had such serious financial issues, that Cathy despaired of ever finding a way out. "To make extra money, I climbed out of bed at two o'clock every morning to deliver newspapers," she recounts. "The gravity of our position finally hit me when my car was repossessed."

Always a diligent worker, John sold vacuum cleaners while in college. After college, he stayed in Texas and continued as an independent distributor for the company, until, disillusioned by the high turnover, he decided to try corporate life. He traveled to North Carolina, and became a branch manager for a huge computer company.

"There, I had a wonderful income," he adds, "but I didn't feel fulfilled. I said to myself, 'Go to work, come home, go to work, come home... is this all there is to life?'" In 1983, John moved his growing family back to Texas, and accepted a position as regional manager for a smaller computer company. A few months later, the company dissolved.

While in North Carolina, John and Cathy had launched their business, but they hadn't given much attention to it. Now, with John out of work, they made a total commitment. With aid from his upline, John learned to teach and nourish the people he registered - watering, fertilizing, and growing the seeds he planted in their hearts, frequently over a protracted incubation period. Five years later, the Merrises reaped the crop. In one year, they earned both Emerald and Diamond qualification!

Now, John and Cathy are enjoying the lifestyle they always desired. "For me, the top priority is being a decent wife and mother," adds Cathy. "I adore travelling with John, and I love attending my kids' dancing performances, piano recitals, soccer games, swim meets, and other events." Cathy has been PTA president and actively supports local candidates and election issues.

Reflecting on their accomplishment, John attributes much to their determination to defer gratification. "We focused on our dream and postponed some of the things we enjoy," he explains. "For example, I love to golf, but I put it off to create the business. Now, I have more money and time than ever before, and I play on courses all over the world."

Menn, Stuart & Charmaigne Amway

Menn, Stuart & Charmaigne Amway

"This business helped offer me the opportunity to follow a long time ambition of mine."

"The prescription for Stuart Menn was "Diversify." A accomplished internist with solid credentials and an Air Force flight surgeon career behind him, Dr. Menn sought to "diversify economically so I could practice medicine without regard for economics or politics." Today he is a leading authority on sleep problems, a field he deems "a hot public concern." Why the interest? " The explosion in Chernobyl, the Three Mile Island incident and the Exxon Valdez accident all can be tied to lack of sleep. People like myself who enjoy their careers can personalize their occupations to their demands, leaving time for other interests." Dr. Menn has several of those. He's focused on Nordic skiing, American history, the theater, even the geography of the Hawaiian Islands, where he has an ambition to build a home. And, of course, travel. Europe and South America are on his itinerary many times a year, and he has made more than 20 visit to Spain to help his firm there flourish."

Melillo, Ray & Joanne Amway

Ray & Joanne Melillo Executive Diamond Council

"I was single, 21 years old, in debt, and $200 away from law school," Ray Melillo says, "when my sponsor, Ed Maffia, presented me the business plan." Ed and Joe Petrillo ' both now Emerald IBOs ' were college mates of Ray's who had gone off to law school.

"Ed came home one weekend, and presented me the plan on the back of an envelope in my car at 1:00 a.m. I figured, if it was good for those guys, it was good for me. You see, I trusted them and trust is extremely crucial to your success in this profession. The rest is history!

"Living at home and renting a bed didn't offer me an edge by any means. I recall Mom being so negative, that she'd interrupt my meetings in my room with washing, and later we would dispute about how stupid I was to believe 'those people.' Dad was even worse. He pushed me to work in his industry of construction and see if I could continue to expand my business. So I accepted a position at a job where he was foreman, lugging cement all day, and coming home ready to drop. But I was out practically every night, showing the plan.

"The next thing I know, I was a new Platinum, making more money than I ever made working full time. So, I bought my first Cadillac and was able to resign from my work at the ripe old age of 23. I haven't worked for another man since!

"By the way, my mum and dad are Jean and Runzie Valerio, Diamond IBOs, who have both been free from jobs for over 2 decades."

Today, Ray and his wife, Joanne, enjoy the results of their effort, together with their three boys, Joey, Nicky, and Anthony.

They also like working together to pass the dream on to others.

Within 18 months of qualifying Diamond, the Melillos went into EDC qualification. By keeping the faith and dream alive, their American and global enterprises continue to grow. EDC has allowed them more stability, and many, many luxury, for them, and for their family.

"God is good," says Ray. "He blessed us with the greatest opportunity to serve people and achieve, as well as the finest friends and mentors in Angelo and Claudia Nardone."

As a legal secretary in Manhattan, Joanne was deeply disillusioned about her future. "I thank God every day for our upline, who showed us by example how to live properly and in service to others. As a result, my boys have a really safe family life, and, most significantly, I don't need to worry about who their hero will be, because it's already their dad."

In addition to this, she is well-known for her ability to motivate others to realize their ambitions through her motivational speeches.

It is crucial to keep in mind that the achievements of some Amway Independent Business Owners, such as Melillo, Ray, and Joanne Amway, while obviously spectacular, are not always indicative of the kinds of accomplishments that the typical Amway IBO may anticipate achieving. In order to build a successful Amway business, one must put in a lot of effort, be dedicated to the business, be willing to take risks, and learn from their mistakes. It is essential to conduct an in-depth analysis of the company model and check that it is in accordance with the objectives and principles that guide your life.

Melillo Amway, Ray Amway, and Joanne Amway are three people who have had a great deal of success working inside the framework of the Amway business model. Their accomplishment is frequently used to illustrate what level of success may be attained via consistent effort and unwavering commitment. Nevertheless, it is essential to approach the Amway business model with extreme caution and to carefully examine the potential for success in light of one's own personal principles and objectives.

Foglio, Joe & Norma Amway

Foglio, Joe & Norma Amway

Joe & Norma Foglio are Executive Diamonds based in California. They qualified Emerald in 1987, Diamond in 1989, and Executive Diamond in 1995. Their upline is Executive Diamond Jim Head, whom Joe met when they were both in the mobile home company. Joe used to suffer from Multiple Sclerosis.

They have 1 frontline Diamond, 1994 Diamond Mike & Robin Carroll.

Within the Amway world, Joe and Norma Foglio are well-known and respected people. They were pioneers in the Amway industry, beginning as some of the company's earliest distributors and contributing significantly to Amway's early success.

In the 1960s, when Amway was still in its infancy as a business, Joe and Norma Foglio became distributors for the company. They were excited to become involved after being impressed by the company's commitment to assisting people in achieving financial independence, which inspired them to take action. Because Joe came from a background in sales and marketing, and Norma was a creative artist and designer, the two of them saw Amway as an opportunity to put their respective skills to use and develop a prosperous business.

The Foglios rose to the top of the company's distribution ranks very rapidly, and they became well-known for the creative marketing methods and outstanding customer service they provided. They prioritized cultivating close relationships with their clients and were constantly on the lookout for new methods to go above and beyond in order to fulfill the requirements of their patrons.

The Foglios' dedication to their own personal growth and improvement was one of the most important factors in their overall success. They never stopped educating themselves and broadening their scope of knowledge, be it through the participation in various training seminars or the reading of various books on professional and personal growth.

Joe and Norma Foglio not only built a prosperous business with Amway, but they also rose to the top of the wider network marketing industry, becoming leaders in that field. They were charter members of the Direct Selling Association and were instrumental in the development of industry standards and best practices during their time with the association.

In the present day, Joe and Norma Foglio are no longer actively involved in their Amway firm; yet, they continue to be revered figures in the field of network marketing. They are sought after as lecturers and trainers due to the recognition they have received for the contributions they have made to the industry.

The Foglios' accomplishments in the Amway business are an example that many would-be business owners look up to as a source of motivation. They illustrate that it is possible to achieve tremendous success and make a significant impact on the lives of others if one is willing to put in a lot of effort, is dedicated, and is committed to growing personally.

Durso, Charlie & Ann Amway

For years, Charlie and Ann Durso commuted three hours every day to Manhattan, 'the city that never sleeps.' Today, situated in their bucolic Pennsylvania environment, Charlie and Ann look back upon those days and cringe. "There's no air-conditioning on the subways," says Charlie. "And in the cold, there's no heat. It's so busy you can barely get inside. There's graffiti everywhere, and you'd witness two fights a week." Adds Ann, "You practically risk your life in the train."

In Manhattan, Charlie observed people stressed out from their work, suffering in silence under the weight of business politics. Charlie loathed his accounting job. "When I saw this business, I viewed it as a vehicle, as my route out," he explains. "I wanted to be free." Today, the Dursos, who met as youths while living in the same Brooklyn neighborhood, rarely take the subways. Instead, they have more time to spend with their sons, Charlie, Jr. and Danny, and their daughter, Dayna.

Ann resigned her career as a travel agent in 1982 to start their family.

Charlie resigned his employment in 1990. Says Ann regarding their business, "It's given me the best of both worlds. It's provided me time with my children and a career as well."

The Dursos are hoping that other people in their neighborhood will take advantage of the same potential they identified in 1981 when they launched their firm. "I believe absolutely that New York is a sleeping giant for this chance," claims Charlie. "More than 17 million people live in the tri-state area of Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York. That's powerful potential. We're educating individuals in New York on what this company is actually all about. They're beginning to discover that there's life after the metro!"

Covington, Rocky Amway

 Inception

1977

Qualifications

  • Diamond 1982
  • Executive Diamond 1994

Rocky Covington is an Executive Diamond connected with BWW. He started with Amway in 1977, qualifying Diamond in 1982 and Executive Diamond in 1994. Prior to Amway, Rocky was a Vice President at a bank. After qualifying Diamond, Rocky endured a catastrophic motor vehicle accident where he crushed one of his ankles. Paul was at Rocky's bedside during the most of the experience.

Rocky possesses 2 frontline Diamonds including 4 Diamond downline. They are:
  • Charles & Martha Bradshaw - 1994 Diamond, BWW
  • Kevin & Beth Bell - 2003 Diamond, BWW
  • Burns, Jim & Karen, Diamond, BWW
  • Confere, Douglas, Diamond, BWW

Success Story

["When I was a bank vice president, I managed tons of money, but most of it belonged to other people. My time wasn’t my own, either. Today, I establish my own schedule and enjoy a lifestyle that was once only a fantasy."

While in his teens, Rocky had aspired to go into coaching. "Instead of pursuing what I wanted to do, I listened to those who told me there wasn’t any money in teaching or coaching," Rocky recounts. A basketball scholarship enabled Rocky to acquire a degree in business banking, which secured him a position with a prominent bank in North Carolina.

When he turned 30, Rocky began to look back at his years of working at the bank and partying with his buddies, and discovered he felt little satisfaction in his successes. Even though his offices got bigger with every promotion, he felt the walls were closing in on him.

Then, in 1977, Rocky was introduced to the industry by an old high school acquaintance. He gave in to his friend’s bombardment of phone calls because, "He was more persistent than I was stubborn," chuckles Rocky.

Soon, Rocky grew to regard the program as the coaching job he’d never had. "This business provided me the chance to coach, not in the principles of blocking and tackling, but in the fundamentals of life," explains Rocky.

Rocky is particularly pleased of growing his career as a single.

"Most of the people who develop this firm are couples," he explains. "But it can be made by just one person." And construct it, he has!

Rocky owes his success to a bulldog mentality. "Bulldogs don’t let go of something once they have their jaws into it," states Rocky. "The same goes for this business. Once you choose to pursue it, you have to go at it like a bulldog."

Today, Rocky makes Myrtle Beach, South Carolina home. "I always wanted a home at the ocean," says Rocky. "My dad took me here when I was a youngster, and I swore I’d live here one day." Rocky also adores the beaches in areas like Hawaii, Bermuda, Grand Cayman Islands, Virgin Islands, and the Caribbean. But, what he appreciates most is "being able to help people reach their goals and objectives in life."

Disputes & Controversies

Skaggs Lawsuit

In July, 2007, a lawsuit was filed by International Business Solutions, Inc. a corporation operated by Emeralds Henry and Sue Skaggs citing Bill and Peggy Britt, Paul and Leslie Miller, Rocky Covington, Kevin and Beth Bell, and Britt WorldWide as defendants. The action says that the Skaggs, having established a software system to enable for direct order fulfillment of BSM to their downline, gained consent from Britt to continue the development of the software program for eventual distribution to all of BWW. During this time, the Skaggs assert that they carried the weight of the development costs. According to the lawsuit, in 2005 Bill Britt cancelled the agreement. The Skaggs then say they were "de-edified" by their upline. The action accuses breach of contract, racketeering, and intentional interference with economic relations

In response, the defendents argued that no contract was entered into and oppose the action on many other legal grounds.

Broome, Clarke & Diana Amway

Broome, Clarke & Diana Amway

Clarke & Diana Broome have been Amway/Quixtar IBOs since I can remember and I've been around the business for almost 20 years. They have alway been willing to provide a helping hand and to make a huge good influence in the lives of others.

Clarke is a pilot. One of the interesting things about that in terms of creating a business is how much easier it is to touch business groups that are farther away.

The Broome's are linked with an organization named Team INA. As members of the board for that organization, they have a lot of input for the tools and training that are provided. The instruction, tools and information they provide is excellent notch. I have realized that even though I have never developed the business, what I have learned has tremendously helped and improved my life.

Clarke & Diana are wonderful individuals and I would recommend them as mentors if you ever have the opportunity.

Ajmani, Kaajal & Sugeet Amway

Sugeet and Kaajal met in India while working in a software company. They came to the U.S. from India with a hope to have a brighter future. Sugeet has an electrical engineering background, whereas Kaajal has her MBA. Working hard through their corporate professions as software consultants, they were looking forward to obtaining a strong financial base and a great lifestyle.

It was a rude awakening when they reached the ceiling in their jobs and recognized that they would have to look at other ways of earning revenue in order to attain the lifestyle which they were searching for. Sugeet got in the business while he was single, and subsequently Kaajal joined him once they got married.

"I have learnt more about success through the education system of Britt Worldwide in just a few years than I had learned through 16 years of formal education," Sugeet says. "Our lives are a lot better today. We have been able to make an influence on a lot of individuals around the world through this chance, which is something we could not have done otherwise. We found our best pals in this company."

Sugeet and Kaajal have two adorable kids, Pallavi and Saloni. Being able to spend quality and quantity time with the kids was one of the most essential things for both of them. Now, being entirely financially free, their lives has considerably changed compared to when they started their corporate careers.

"We are just getting started now. This is one of the ideal periods to create this firm, because the best is yet to come. Our objective is Crown Ambassador, and the reason for that, is that it will create a very beneficial impact on a very wide number of people around the world," Sugeet states passionately. With immense energy and commitment, Sugeet and Kaajal are looking forward to a bright future ahead. Sugeet and Kaajal Ajmani are the perfect pair at the right moment for the Britt team. They're relatively young, in their early 30's, and have been very careful with establishing the firm, never got distracted. Even though, as computer consultants, they were not striving to make a living, their motivation was to be part of the Britt team. They basically maintained constant with the business.

Being in the information technology industry, Sugeet could have gotten distracted when it seemed like all the equities were up and the Internet firms were growing, but he never did. He stands on ideals. And one of the principles of creating money is that nothing is overnight. So, he never wandered away, or became distracted, or felt the urge to take up the rich offers from the Internet boom, since he knew that he lived on principles. Sugeet and Kaajal are two of the most fired-up speakers in the Britt organization, and truly light up the stage.

Sugeet and Kaajal Ajmani have led by example. Bill Britt has already identified them as a couple who has what it takes in terms of attitude, work ethic, excitement, and expertise to become Crown Ambassador, which is their long-term goal. They undoubtedly have the impetus to develop swiftly, with over 450 percent rise in their numbers over last year's standing order and function attendance. They're just the pride and pleasure of our organization!

Pratt, Bubba & Sandy Amway

Bubba: Auto Seller Sandy: Housewife

After a spectacular career as a defense of the football team at the University of Florida, The Florida Gators, Bubba entered the world of business, wanting to continue their winning route. After graduating, he began his profession as a car salesperson and the hard truth of life arrived swiftly.

"It does not worry me to work hard to succeed. When I was studying second year at Florida, the daily Sports Illustrated published a feature article on the Florida Gators. The coach, Doug Dickey referred to me, stating I had no worry for my body and would do anything to achieve my mission. The problem in the world of sales is that hard work is not synonymous with financial benefits, that's why you need to work intelligently", adds Bubba who worked with Tim Foley, another football player, who became a part of the life of Pratt at the appropriate time.

"We both attended the University of Hard Knocks."

"Hank Zampa arrived in the U.S. from his home Malta at age 13 speaking no English. Says Carol, "We both attended the University of Hard Knocks." They graduated with honors. Hank received a degree in mechanical engineering, became a design engineer for Ford Motor Company and co-owner of a restaurant. Carol was an executive secretary and operated a sewing business. Initially they envisioned the business as a method to make some extra revenue so they could buy a 30' sailboat. They also saw it as a chance for both of them, and subsequently for their three sons. After they bought the boat, they purchased a new home. They sent their sons to private schools and today their dream of a family company is a reality. "We taught our sons that they can have everything in life if they will work for it and expect the best of themselves. They have all grown confidence and excellent self-esteem. Brad and Leslie Wolgamott are Double Diamonds located in Washington. The Wolgamotts chose to break their marriage partnership few years ago. Leslie continues to expand lead the business as a member of World Wide Dream Builders while Brad has since left WWDB and launched his own training firm. Since Brad's departure Leslie has shifted to WWDB Management Team and has had an explosive influence in Canada bringing several recent business builders to the Platinum, Ruby, Emerald and even Diamond levels.

Brad and Leslie were originally sponsored into Amway and quit when their sponsors opted to go outside of the WWDB leadership. A few years later, Brad Duncan encountered Brad Wolgamott at a gas station and received his number. Over a coffee discussion, Brad Duncan claimed Brad Wolgamott was not made out for this business and he was not qualified to handle it. According to Wolgamott, this challenged him to prove that he could do it and he went on to Double Diamond. Brad and Leslie qualified Diamond in 1992, Executive Diamond in 1997, and Double Diamond in 1999.

The Wolgamotts moved on to contract with Quixtar.com and transitioned their membership base to the World Wide Web in 1999. This sudden transition pushed them to analyze trends and engage in a wholly new industry with new prospects and companies. Now known across the world for his passion in and beyond business, Brad is a sought after speaker and adviser.

Philanthropy

Brad Wolgamott created a baseball field for his son's baseball club, The Shockers, to play in their league. They invite groups of inner-city and at-risk youths, together with athletic teams and religious youth organizations, to play on their private "Field of Dreams." Brad and Leslie are annual donors to the Ronald McDonald House and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.

Through their business and the Northwest Dream Team, an organization they formed nine years ago, the Wolgamotts provide money to local groups aiding at-risk adolescents. They often travel to foreign nations including the Philippines where they provide money to impoverished villages and orphanages. One of their main loves is buying medical supplies for these people. Vest, Bob & Linda Amway

Vest, Bob & Linda Amway

"We would always leave home the day after Christmas and follow the sun"

Bob Vest handled this firm in the realistic style of an engineer: "It looked too nice to ignore." His profession as a product development specialist for major firms offered a comfortable income for the family, although he and Linda felt "boxed in." "We knew we had no real opportunity for personal freedom," he says. "But as we researched this idea, even though we didn't understand its full potential, we asked ourselves 'What if we didn't do it and it truly worked?' You might claim that fear of missing out was the original motive. But soon we recognized financial options. Our business has allowed us to enjoy a terrific life, and not simply a good living. From a very early age our daughters have had not only a mom but also a dad. They've continually been around people who recognize the importance of positive attitudes, of making objectives, and helping others."

Stokes, Ron & Dinah Amway

Stokes, Ron & Dinah Amway

"It's not simply about being monetarily successful; it's being open to adventure, romance and serendipity."

Hollywood's glitter is often veiled with uncertainty. Three years after Ron and Dinah Stokes launched their business, their accountant remarked, "Do you know what you have here?" Their income from acting had fallen, but their lifestyle was untouched, thanks to the money from their business. Ron had 30 movies, 80 TV episodes and hundreds of commercials and industrial films to his credit. Dinah, a busy actress in the Southern California legitimate theater, was a secretary in a film production firm when she met Ron. They had one solid, little income (Dinah's) and one larger undependable one(Ron's). When casual acquaintances presented them the business in a living room meeting they answered "yes" because "we couldn't think of a decent reason to say 'no'. Their business developed and Ron and Dinah grew. "Our ideals have been molded and shaped from the leadership models of our business friends," explains Dinah. Ron suffered a stroke in 1984, their business not only persisted, but flourished. "It's not simply about being financially successful," says Dinah, "its the delightful reward of being open to adventure, romance and spontaneity that comes with building it."

Ron and Dinah Stokes are a very successful Amway business couple who have had a great deal of success in the Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) industry. They are well renowned for their unwavering commitment to assisting people in realizing their dreams of financial independence and success through the Amway business opportunity. This post will discuss the steps they took to achieve success as well as the lessons that we may take away from their experience.

Background

The Stokes family began their journey with Amway in the early 1970s when Ron and Dinah Stokes joined the company. They were residents in Texas at the time, and they were having a hard time making ends meet. They were struggling to make ends meet with their three young children and the many jobs that they had. A friend of theirs is the one who first told them about the Amway business opportunity, and as soon as they heard about the possibility of making a better life for themselves and their family, they became immediately intrigued.

The Way to Achieve Success

The Amway business that Ron and Dinah began was launched with very little prior expertise or experience in the sector. They were so focused on achieving their goals that they dedicated endless hours to research and education on the company. In order to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for success, they participated in various training sessions, listened to audio recordings, and read books.

Ron and Dinah stayed dedicated to their objective of achieving financial independence, in spite of the obstacles and roadblocks they encountered along the way. They put in a lot of effort to grow their Amway business, and it paid off for them in the end. Within a short period of time, they were successful enough in the Amway business to get to the level of Diamond Direct Distributors, which is one of the highest rankings available.

Ron and Dinah have worked tirelessly over the years to expand their company and facilitate the accomplishment of the goals of others. They have been honored with a number of prizes and accolades for their many accomplishments, including being named one of the most successful Amway business couples in the entire globe.

Lessons Learned

The following are some of the important takeaways anyone who wants to develop a successful multi-level marketing business may learn from Ron and Dinah's tale of success:

The results of one's labor and commitment are worthwhile. The success that Ron and Dinah have obtained did not happen all at once. It took them many years of toil and commitment to grow their company and reach the point where they were financially independent.

The most important things are education and training. Both Ron and Dinah committed a significant amount of time and energy to researching the multi-level marketing (MLM) sector and the Amway business opportunity. In order to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for success, they educated themselves by participating in training sessions, reading books, and listening to audio recordings.

Contribute to the accomplishments of others. The fact that Ron and Dinah focused so much of their energy on ensuring the success of others was a significant contributor to their own achievements. They were able to develop a profitable business and assist others in achieving financial independence through the coaching and support they provided to those in their downline.

Try not to give up. Along the road, Ron and Dinah encountered obstacles and had some failures, but they never wavered in their dedication to achieving their ultimate objective of achieving financial independence. They were successful in doing what they set out to do because they maintained their concentration and did not give up.

Conclusion

The success of Ron and Dinah Stokes serves as a powerful illustration of what is possible when one is willing to put in a lot of effort, is dedicated, and is dedicated to assisting other people. Their narrative can teach everyone how to develop a successful multi-level marketing firm important lessons to follow in their footsteps. We can all achieve our goals and build a better life for ourselves and our families if we put our attention and energy toward education and training, lend a hand to those around us in their pursuit of success, and remain resilient in the face of adversity.

Riggan, Lew & Darlene Amway

 Success story

Lew Riggan's bio:- Lew, a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the United States Air Force, is dedicated to his work with the Rotary Club. While growing up in Texas and attending Texas A & M University, Lew established financial goals for himself that he worked hard to achieve. A variety of business initiatives, ranging from investing in a grapefruit orchard to dabbling in the stock market, were tried and tested by the young entrepreneur. He remained dissatisfied and continued his search for something better. When he was approached about the notion of beginning his own independent business in 1968, he was already working as a pilot for a big airline at the time.

"I was a flight teacher, and there was a Sergeant who ran his own business alongside me. Because we had to maintain those boots looking good, everyone bought his items, such as Shoe Polish, from him "He recalls the incident. As soon as Lew got his hands on the IBO Plan, he knew that it was a "logical business." He was particularly struck by a distinctive trait of the company, namely, employees who actively encourage others to achieve.

"This company is really great. The company is well-known throughout the world, and it continues to grow year after year ", Lew continues.

Darlene Riggan:- After graduating from Auburn University in Alabama, Darlene moved to New York City and began working in the fashion industry. As well as pursuing the possibility of establishing her own business, she wished to provide a high-quality living for her children and spend more time with her family. All of this was made feasible for her through her business.

Owens, Dusty & Betty Amway

Signed up in March 1965, became a Direct Distributor after 5 months, and eventually earned a Diamond status in 1970. In 1972, they earned the distinction of Double Diamonds.

People who are familiar with the Amway network may recognize the names Owens, Dusty, and Betty. This is because the three of them were part of a highly successful group of independent distributors who worked for the corporation. Let's take a more in-depth look at both who they were as individuals and the impact they had within the Amway network.

The Owens family consisted of a husband and woman combination, Dusty and Betty, together with their daughter, who all became Amway distributors in the early 1970s. They rose to prominence within the organization very rapidly, becoming one of the most successful and prominent organizations there, and they established a sizable network of distributors across the United States and worldwide.

They had a strong work ethic, excellent leadership abilities, and the capacity to inspire and motivate others to achieve, all of which contributed to their success inside Amway. They devised a method of training and assistance that assisted their team members in accomplishing their objectives and expanding their individual businesses inside the Amway network.

In addition to their achievements as independent distributors, Owens, Dusty, and Betty were well-known for the charitable contributions they made throughout their lives. They did this by establishing the Owens Foundation, which gives financial assistance in the shape of scholarships and other forms to young people who are pursuing higher education.

Owens, Dusty, and Betty experienced controversy and criticism despite their success and power within the Amway network. Despite this, they continued to push the company's products. Amway filed a lawsuit against them in the 1990s, alleging that they had violated the company's code of ethics and engaged in unsavory methods of conducting business. Even though the lawsuit was finally resolved outside of court, it was successful in bringing to light a number of difficulties and conflicts that are sometimes encountered in the MLM sector.

Within the Amway network and beyond, the legacy left by Owens, Dusty, and Betty continues to be carried on today. In the multi-level marketing (MLM) industry, they are known as leaders and mentors who assisted a large number of people in accomplishing their objectives and building prosperous businesses. Their charitable work is carried on through the Owens Foundation, which over the course of its history has helped tens of thousands of young people.

In conclusion, Owens, Dusty, and Betty were a group of independent distributors within the Amway network that enjoyed a significant amount of success and had a significant influence. Their legacy is one of dedication to hard work, leadership, and charitable giving, and they remain an inspiration and a source of motivation to others in the multi-level marketing profession even to this day. Even though they were sometimes met with controversy and criticism, it is impossible to deny the impact that they had on the Amway network and beyond.

Ledbetter, Curtis & Virginia Amway

The mission of TeamBuilders is to leave a legacy of faith, optimism, and freedom for future generations. Families are being strengthened, leaders are being developed, and teams are being formed with the vision to dream, the bravery to struggle, and the perseverance to win!

Our company motto is "We develop teams." Dreams come true for us!

Two-time Double Diamonds Curtis and Virginia Ledbetter, Rob and Katie Ledbetter, and Double Diamond Suzanne Ledbetter serve as the leadership team for TeamBuilders. The Ledbetters collaborate with Jody and Kathy Victor on a regular basis. Joe and Helen Victor, Jody's father and mother, were among the first founding members of the AWA Board of Directors. A huge Spanish organisation and the largest deaf community of IBOs were both founded by the Ledbetters with the assistance of others. There are at least 12 nations where the Ledbetters operate operations, including the Philippines, South Africa, and India, among others. Renowned as an outstanding speaker throughout the world, Lennon Ledbetter is frequently enlisted to deliver keynote addresses for a variety of companies and nonprofit groups. The Ledbetters are great role models that are relentless in their goal of assisting others, both inside and outside of the business world.

Making Use of Your Time

Following his discovery of the TeamBuilders possibility, Dr. Curtis Ledbetter remarked, "We'll have to construct this business with what little time we have." What time is it? As a university professor, an evening instructor, a church councilman, a precinct chairman for a political party, a liaison officer for the United States Air Force Academy, a football official, a junior league football coach, and chaplain of the Utah Air National Guard, he was killed in a car accident. Virginia was a teacher in an elementary school and the director of the church choir at the same time. They were working together to support the various activities that their children were involved in.

"We were still broke," Dr. Ledbetter confesses, despite the fact that "we were doing everything we possibly could." As a result, the time leveraging principle was particularly appealing to me. As our company grew, we began devoting more time to it, and after seven months, we were awarded the Silver level of certification."

The Ledbetter Family is a well-known American family.

Rob, Curtis and Virginia's son, made use of his free time as well. Rob's undergraduate education was made possible by the Ledbetter family's TeamBuilders business; he graduated with honours and was awarded a scholarship to go law school. There were two significant occurrences that occurred during this time: Rob met and married Katie, and he graduated in the top ten percent of his graduating class. Rob then practised law for a few years, which was enough time for him to realise that a legal career would not provide the lifestyle he desired for his family. "Time was money in my previous job as an attorney. There was a limit to my earning potential because there were only a certain number of hours per day and days per week that I could work "Rob expresses himself.

Rob and Katie joined forces with Curtis and Virginia to form a formidable team. As a result of their joint efforts, the Ledbetter family firm has grown to become a worldwide Diamondship. Lennon and Suzanne, Curtis and Virginia's other son and daughter-in-law (who are also featured in Leadership Profiles), were also instrumental in establishing a Diamondship.

The state of Virginia expresses gratitude to Curtis for being able to leverage his time through Private Franchising. "I'm not sure how long he could have managed to keep all of those jobs going. We're quite grateful that he no longer has to put himself in such a vulnerable position!" In the words of Katie, "Rob earned a good living as a lawyer, but he was always so busy at the office that we never had time to appreciate it!"

King, Jim & Mary Amway

King, Jim & Mary Amway

The fact that his father, a physician, would be doing this made our kid feel uncomfortable. But then he decided to join us.”

According to Jim King, "we weren't really intrigued when a buddy introduced us to this chance," but because they did not know how to say "no" gracefully, they registered nonetheless.

Afterwards, we took a closer look and realised that the business was sound.”

The Kings were already well-traveled around the world. Mary was a licenced practical nurse who had previously worked in Guam, Colombia, and Guatemala. Jim had worked as the Chief of Surgery for the government of Guam, as a Peace Corps physician in South and Central America, as Director of Family Health Services for the Pan American Health Organization, and as Deputy Director, Office of International Health, United States Public Health Service. He was also the father of two children.

“Our oldest kid tried all he could to get us to go out of the business,” Jim recalls. It made him feel bad about himself that his father, who is a physician, would be doing this.

Later on, though, he made the decision to join us.

All of our boys are now working alongside us.

Mary was able to start doing more things as a result of this.

And I'd be able to retire while I was still young enough to enjoy life to the fullest.

King Amway, Jim Amway, and Mary Amway are three people who have been instrumental in the development and growth of Amway Corporation, a multinational direct selling corporation. King Amway founded the company, and Jim and Mary Amway are its current co-chairs. Amway is a corporation that is owned by a family that distributes a variety of personal care items, including those for the body, the house, and one's appearance, through a network of independent distributors.

Amway Corporation was established in 1959 by Rich DeVos and Jay Van Andel, and since then, the company has expanded to become a multinational corporation with operations in more than one hundred countries. Amway is owned and run by two families, the DeVos and the Van Andels. King, Jim, and Mary Amway are all related to these families.

Amway Corporation was first led by Richard "Rich" DeVos Sr., one of the company's co-founders and its first president. DeVos was born in 1926 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and she spent her childhood years during the Great Depression. As a result, she gained an early appreciation for the value of diligent labor. He went to Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, before joining the Army Air Corps and serving his country during World War II. After the war, DeVos worked in a variety of sales professions before co-founding Amway in 1959 with his lifelong friend Jay Van Andel. DeVos and Van Andel had known each other since childhood.

In addition to being one of the original founders of Amway Corporation, Jay Van Andel was also the first chairman of the corporation. Van Andel was raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, during the Great Depression, which taught him the importance of frugality and toiling away at one's job. He was born in 1924. After completing his education at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, he joined the United States Army and served his country throughout World War II. Following his time in the military, Van Andel began a career in sales and went on to start numerous profitable enterprises before partnering with Rich DeVos to establish Amway.

Jim Amway is the current president of Amway Corporation. He is the son of Rich DeVos Sr., who founded the company. Jim was born in 1958 and spent his childhood in Ada, Michigan. He received his education at Calvin College before entering the family business. Before assuming the role of president of Amway in 2018, he worked his way up through the company, holding positions such as executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Mary Amway is the wife of Steve Van Andel, the current chairman of Amway Corporation. Steve is the son of Jay Van Andel, the company's founder and current chairman. Mary is active in a number of organizations that are dedicated to charitable giving, and she has had directorships at a number of different businesses. She is also a patron of the arts and has contributed to the funding of a number of projects in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she was born and raised.

With over 17,000 workers and more than 3 million independent distributors, Amway Corporation is one of the greatest direct selling organizations in the world. The DeVos and Van Andel families have worked together to build Amway Corporation into one of these companies. Products offered by the company include those related to health and wellbeing, such as dietary supplements, beauty and personal care items, and household cleaning solutions.

Over the years, Amway has been the target of its fair share of problems, including allegations that the company operates as a pyramid scheme as well as litigation challenging the company's claims regarding the quality and efficacy of its goods. Despite this, the company has been able to keep its position as a leader in the direct selling market by placing a significant emphasis on innovation, quality, and the fulfillment of the needs and wants of their customers.

Both the DeVos and Van Andel families are actively involved in a number of charitable organizations, in addition to their work at Amway. The DeVos family has contributed millions of dollars to a variety of organizations over the years, such as medical research, the arts, and educational opportunities. Philanthropy is another area in which the Van Andel family has been involved, with a special emphasis on cancer research and treatment.

In conclusion, King, Jim, and Mary Amway are members of the DeVos and Van Andel families, who are the owners of Amway Corporation and run its operations. The business has expanded its reach around the globe and now has operations in more than one hundred countries. The company's offerings include dietary supplements for health and wellbeing, beauty and personal care products, and household cleaning solutions. Both the DeVos and Van Andel families are dedicated to giving back to the communities in which they live, and as a result, both families are active participants in a number of charitable organizations.

Johnson, Roger & Pat Amway

Johnson, Roger & Pat Amway

My thoughts and emotions were really etched with the 'I believe in you' ethos that they shown to us.

"It took six years from the time our sponsors initially approached us until we were able to get started," explains Roger Johnson.

"On a scale of one to 10, ours was a one on the interest scale."

In Pat's words, "neither of us had a vision for what this business may achieve for us in the future."

"We were both self-conscious about our appearance, but we also desired financial independence.

We signed up when Jim and Nancy Dornan required one more associate to compete for a contest, thinking that we would just be purchasing things at wholesale prices.

That seemingly inconsequential decision turned out to be the most important decision of our lives."

Roger worked in the life insurance industry at the time, and she was a first-grade teacher at the time.

""If a person has never had somebody believe in them before," says Pat, "they should definitely consider getting into our profession."

We've been fortunate enough to be affiliated with the Network TwentyOne founders from the very beginning of the company.

The 'I believe in you' spirit that they shown to us left a lasting impression on my mind and heart. It sparked an interest in me to pursue other interests in my life.

There is no higher sense of accomplishment than knowing that you have had a positive and productive impact on someone."

Johnson, Roger, and Pat are a successful team of Amway distributors that have achieved tremendous success inside the Amway industry. Johnson, Roger, and Pat have worked together to accomplish this level of success. They are well-known for their leadership abilities, devotion to personal growth, and dedication to assisting others in achieving their objectives.

The Johnsons' career in the Amway industry began in the late 1970s when a mutual acquaintance informed them about the opportunity to become distributors for the company. They were blown away by the high caliber of the products the firm offered as well as the numerous ways in which they might boost their current income with the Amway business opportunity. They felt enthused about the company in a short amount of time and immediately got to work in order to establish their own prosperous Amway business.

The importance that Roger and Pat have on personal growth has been one of the factors that has contributed to their success in the Amway business. They have put a significant amount of money and effort into their own education and development by participating in seminars and workshops, reading books and articles, and seeking the guidance of successful Amway leaders as mentors. They have been able to become better leaders and mentors for the members of their team because they have improved the skills and information that they themselves possess.

Another important contributor to Roger and Pat's success has been the time and effort they have put into cultivating excellent connections with the members of their team. They have established a culture of inclusion and support inside the team, one in which members are encouraged to collaborate with one another and help one another achieve their own and professional goals. They are also well-known for their willingness to go out of their way to assist the members of their team in achieving success, whether it is through the provision of coaching and mentoring or the provision of financial assistance and other resources.

In addition to putting a strong emphasis on self-improvement and the formation of strong teams, Roger and Pat have also been successful in expanding their Amway business by making effective use of the power offered by social media. They have established a solid online presence by maintaining active social media accounts and a blog on which they discuss their activities within the Amway community and the lessons they have learned as a result of those activities.

Disputes & Controversies

In 2007, Team filed a lawsuit against Quixtar, and Fred Harteis was identified as a plaintiff in that litigation. Harteis pulled himself from the complaint immediately, stating, "At no time did I give Mr. Poyfair or any other attorney permission to include me as a Plaintiff in the lawsuit."

Story

Vocation

Educator/Secretary

Location

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania is a city in Pennsylvania.

It appeared that the future of Fred Harteis and his wife Linda was bright when they were initially married. Fred possessed a bachelor's degree, a strong work ethic, and an open mind to personal development. Linda Harteis worked full-time in a bank while her husband, Fred Harteis, was pursuing degrees in Agricultural Education and Building Trades, as well as holding down a number of part-time jobs.

When the Harteis Family began to expand, Mr. and Mrs. Harteis determined that the children would benefit enormously if Linda resigned her employment so that she could devote her time to becoming the mother they desired. Even with two full-time and two part-time occupations, the family was still unable to provide for themselves. Fred Harteis began to broaden his horizons by considering the possibility of becoming a business owner. Mr. Harteis discovered that the Quixtar Business System was a perfect fit after establishing multiple successful firms. Linda Harteis and her husband could collaborate on the development of a business system that would assist people in achieving their life goals as a family.

Harteis International, Inc. and iTEAM, founded by Fred and Linda Harteis, have helped tens of thousands of people establish their businesses by teaching financial education, business principles, and economic principles. Today, the Harteis family is continuing to grow its business operations throughout the world. Throughout the course of their business, Fred and Linda Harteis have created a space where their children, Tonya, Freddy, and Annie, may all engage and contribute to the growth of the company's potential. Fred and Linda Harteis enjoy interacting with others and assisting them in becoming self-sufficient. Fred Harteis has a diverse range of commercial interests that are expanding all over the world.

Fred Harteis has also served on the board of directors of the IBOAI, which represents approximately one million individuals. He has served on this distinguished board in several capacities, including Secretary, Treasurer, Vice-President, and President. He is ecstatic at the prospect of assisting other business owners in their endeavours!
