In 2007, Team filed a lawsuit against Quixtar, and Fred Harteis was identified as a plaintiff in that litigation. Harteis pulled himself from the complaint immediately, stating, "At no time did I give Mr. Poyfair or any other attorney permission to include me as a Plaintiff in the lawsuit."

It appeared that the future of Fred Harteis and his wife Linda was bright when they were initially married. Fred possessed a bachelor's degree, a strong work ethic, and an open mind to personal development. Linda Harteis worked full-time in a bank while her husband, Fred Harteis, was pursuing degrees in Agricultural Education and Building Trades, as well as holding down a number of part-time jobs.
When the Harteis Family began to expand, Mr. and Mrs. Harteis determined that the children would benefit enormously if Linda resigned her employment so that she could devote her time to becoming the mother they desired. Even with two full-time and two part-time occupations, the family was still unable to provide for themselves. Fred Harteis began to broaden his horizons by considering the possibility of becoming a business owner. Mr. Harteis discovered that the Quixtar Business System was a perfect fit after establishing multiple successful firms. Linda Harteis and her husband could collaborate on the development of a business system that would assist people in achieving their life goals as a family.
Harteis International, Inc. and iTEAM, founded by Fred and Linda Harteis, have helped tens of thousands of people establish their businesses by teaching financial education, business principles, and economic principles. Today, the Harteis family is continuing to grow its business operations throughout the world. Throughout the course of their business, Fred and Linda Harteis have created a space where their children, Tonya, Freddy, and Annie, may all engage and contribute to the growth of the company's potential. Fred and Linda Harteis enjoy interacting with others and assisting them in becoming self-sufficient. Fred Harteis has a diverse range of commercial interests that are expanding all over the world.
Fred Harteis has also served on the board of directors of the IBOAI, which represents approximately one million individuals. He has served on this distinguished board in several capacities, including Secretary, Treasurer, Vice-President, and President. He is ecstatic at the prospect of assisting other business owners in their endeavours!
