Leif Amway Johnson was an American entrepreneur and philanthropist. He is best known for his work as President and CEO of Amway, which is one of the largest direct-selling enterprises in the world. Johnson passed away in 2002. On October 19, 1957, in Muskegon, Michigan, Johnson was born to Rich DeVos and Helen Van Wesep, who were the co-founders of Amway. Johnson is the son of Rich DeVos. He spent his childhood in Ada, Michigan, where he also received his high school education at Forest Hills Central. Following his graduation from high school, Johnson went on to pursue a degree in business administration at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. 1982 was the beginning of Leif Johnson's professional career at Amway, where he had a variety of jobs over the course of his tenure, including those in sales and marketing, product development, and international expansion. Johnson was given the position of President of Amway Europe in 1993, and it was his responsibility to extend the company's operations throughout Europe. Amway Europe had substantial development when he was serving as the region's head, and as a result, the company became the most successful direct-selling organization in the region.
