Amway was the owner and operator of the direct selling company Quixtar until 2009, when the company underwent a rebranding and became known as Amway North America. A number of Quixtar's achievement programs, such as the Achieve Recognitions program, were used to award the company's independent business owners (IBOs) who had achieved the highest levels of success.
The purpose of the Achieve Recognitions program was to acknowledge and reward Independent firm Owners (IBOs) who have attained a particular degree of achievement in their Amway firm. There were a total of four levels to the program, and each one had its own prerequisites as well as its own set of potential benefits. These tiers comprised the following:
To reach the Achieve level, an Independent Business Owner (IBO) needed to earn a total of at least 100 personal points in a single calendar month. Customers who made purchases from the Amway catalog were rewarded with personal points. IBOs who reached the Achieve level were given certificates of achievement and were acknowledged at various Amway events.
To achieve the Silver level, an IBO needed to accumulate a minimum of 1,000 personal points in a single month, with a minimum of 500 of those points coming from sources outside the family. IBOs who reached the silver level were awarded a silver Achieve pin and got special recognition at Amway events.
Gold: In order to achieve the Gold level, an Independent Business Owner (IBO) needed to accumulate a minimum of 4,000 personal points in a single month, with a minimum of 2,000 of those points coming from sources outside the family. IBOs who reached the gold level were awarded a gold Achieve pin and received special recognition at Amway events.
Platinum: In order to achieve the Platinum level, an Independent Business Owner (IBO) needed to accumulate a minimum of 10,000 personal points in a single month, with a minimum of 5,000 of those points coming from sources outside the family. IBOs who reached the Platinum level were awarded a platinum Achieve pin and received special recognition at Amway events.
IBOs who reached the Silver, Gold, or Platinum level each earned a bonus check in addition to the pins and accolades they received at Amway events. Platinum level IBOs also received a free vacation. The total value of the bonus check was based on the level that was reached as well as the number of points that were earned.
Quixtar's top-performing Independent Business Owners (IBOs) were honored for their accomplishments in a variety of different ways, one of which was through the Achieve Recognitions program. To encourage and motivate its Independent Business Owners (IBOs) to accomplish their objectives, the company provided a wide range of additional incentive programs, which included trips, bonuses, and many other incentives.
Amway North America continues to recognize and reward the successes of its Independent Business Owners (IBOs) through a wide variety of incentive programs and events, despite the fact that Quixtar does not exist as a separate corporation. IBOs will receive the inspiration and motivation they need to realize their full potential and accomplish the goals they have set for themselves as a result of these programs.
