Stokes, Ron & Dinah Amway

Stokes, Ron & Dinah Amway

"It's not simply about being monetarily successful; it's being open to adventure, romance and serendipity."Hollywood's glitter is often veiled with uncertainty.

Three years after Ron and Dinah Stokes launched their business, their accountant remarked, "Do you know what you have here?"

Their income from acting had fallen, but their lifestyle was untouched, thanks to the money from their business.

Ron had 30 movies, 80 TV episodes and hundreds of commercials and industrial films to his credit.

Dinah, a busy actress in the Southern California legitimate theatre, was a secretary in a film production firm when she met Ron.

They had one solid, little income (Dinah's) and one larger undependable one(Ron's).

When casual acquaintances presented them the business in a living room meeting they answered "yes" because "

we couldn't think of a decent reason to say 'no'. Their business developed and Ron and Dinah grew. "Our ideals have been moulded and shaped from the leadership models of our business friends," explains Dinah. Ron suffered a stroke in 1984, their business not only persisted, but flourished. "

It's not simply about being financially successful," says Dinah, "its the delightful reward of being open to adventure, romance and spontaneity that comes with building it."

Success story

Lew Riggan's bio:- Lew, a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the United States Air Force, is dedicated to his work with the Rotary Club.

While growing up in Texas and attending Texas A & M University, Lew established financial goals for himself that he worked hard to achieve.

A variety of business initiatives, ranging from investing in a grapefruit orchard to dabbling in the stock market, were tried and tested by the young entrepreneur.

He remained dissatisfied and continued his search for something better.

When he was approached about the notion of beginning his own independent business in 1968, he was already working as a pilot for a big airline at the time.

"I was a flight teacher, and there was a Sergeant who ran his own business alongside me.

Because we had to maintain those boots looking good, everyone bought his items, such as Shoe Polish, from him "He recalls the incident.

As soon as Lew got his hands on the IBO Plan, he knew that it was a "logical business.

" He was particularly struck by a distinctive trait of the company, namely, employees who actively encourage others to achieve.

"This company is really great. The company is well-known throughout the world, and it continues to grow year after year ", Lew continues.

Darlene Riggan:- After graduating from Auburn University in Alabama, Darlene moved to New York City and began working in the fashion industry.

As well as pursuing the possibility of establishing her own business, she wished to provide a high-quality living for her children and spend more time with her family.

All of this was made feasible for her through her business.

King, Jim & Mary Amway

King, Jim & Mary Amway

The fact that his father, a physician, would be doing this made our kid feel uncomfortable. But then he decided to join us.”

According to Jim King, "we weren't really intrigued when a buddy introduced us to this chance," but because they did not know how to say "no" gracefully, they registered nonetheless. Afterwards, we took a closer look and realised that the business was sound.”

The Kings were already well-traveled around the world. Mary was a licenced practical nurse who had previously worked in Guam, Colombia, and Guatemala.

Jim had worked as the Chief of Surgery for the government of Guam, as a Peace Corps physician in South and Central America, as Director of Family Health Services for the Pan American Health Organization, and as Deputy Director, Office of International Health, United States Public Health Service.

He was also the father of two children. “Our oldest kid tried all he could to get us to go out of the business,” Jim recalls.

It made him feel bad about himself that his father, who is a physician, would be doing this. Later on, though, he made the decision to join us.

All of our boys are now working alongside us. Mary was able to start doing more things as a result of this. And I'd be able to retire while I was still young enough to enjoy life to the fullest.

Johnson, Roger & Pat Amway

"The 'I believe in you' vibe they showed us really resonated in my mind and heart."

"From the time our sponsors first approached us it took six years until we got started," explains Roger Johnson.

"On an interest scale of one to ten, ours was a one." "Neither of us had a picture of what this business could do for our future," adds Pat.

"We both had image hang-ups, but we also wanted financial freedom. When Jim and Nancy Dornan required one more associate to qualify for a sweepstakes, we joined, thinking to just buy things at wholesale.

That 'small' decision turned out to be the major decision of our life." She was a first grade teacher back then, and Roger was in the life insurance company.

"If a person has never had somebody believe in them," says Pat, "they ought to explore this business seriously.

We've been lucky to be affiliated with the founders of Network TwentyOne since the very beginning.

The 'I believe in you' vibe they showed us really resonated in my mind and heart. It pushed me to want to accomplish more with my life.

There is no greater fulfillment than having influenced someone in a positive, beneficial way."
