Double Crown Ambassador

Double Crown Ambassador

Nakajima, Kaoru, a company owner in Amway Japan, sought the Double Crown Ambassador pin and agreed by local management. The request was an unique pin recognising 40 Q6 legs in a year. Two normal Crown Ambassador pins are soldered together. Rich De Vos gave Nakajima the pin during a 1996 commendation event. The pin was meant to be an individual acknowledgment and objective for Nakajima, but when company owner Holly Chen learned about this particular pin, she asked for one. Amway agreed to this request, however it was revealed that this "unofficial" level would not become an official level and in the future no additional business owners would be permitted to qualify for this level.

Amway doesn't officially acknowledge this level and you won't find any mention in their official "hall of achievement" in Ada, Michigan.

Ultimate Crown Ambassador

 Ultimate Crown Ambassador

The Ultimate Crown Ambassador pin (or Ultimate Founders Crown Ambassador Pin) was introduced in 1992, earned by Muller-Meerkatz, Peter & Eva and Kaoru Nakajima the same year. One year later (1993), Barry Chi & Holly Chen won the pin. Several others got it between 1996 and 1999. By introducing the Founders Crown Ambassador pin and the higher pins, this pin can no longer be won and you will not find it at the headquarters in Ada, Michigan (like the FDSA pin changed to Founders Crown Ambassador 40 FAA pin).

Max Schwarz was granted a last chance in 2003 on request to achieve the same level as his colleagues upline Muller-Meerkatz, Peter & Eva. Amway Germany was advised to stop using this unauthorised award level.

Final Crown Ambassador qualification requires:

  • To qualify as an Ultimate Crown Ambassador, a certified Platinum must qualify for the Amway Performance Year for all 12 months at the Silver Producer level.

History

  • When the pin was initially developed, the dowline required 20 legs each with a Direct Distributor. A Direct Distributor was a distributor with 7,500 PV for 3 consecutive months. Crown qualifying needed just 20 legs that acheved 25% for a month. Introduction OTCA payout for Crown Ambassador was $20,000.

In 1980, Crown Ambassador was revealed to be raised to 25 legs, each having a dowline Direct Distributor. This adjustment produced an issue where some distributors acquired the 20 legs in 1980, but not the new 25 leg criterion, therefore they missed Crown Ambassador designation. In 1980, Crown Ambassador's OTCA payment doubled to $50,000.

In 1982, it was stated that Crown Ambassador will be altered to 22 legs who qualified for 6 months in the fiscal year at 25 percent level. Crown Ambassador's 1982 OTCA payout was $50,000.

In 1983, it was stated that Crown Ambassador will be altered again to 20 legs who qualified for six months in the fiscal year at 25 percent level.

In 2000, Crown Ambassador's OTCA payment was $150,000. One year later it was $168,000.

In 2002, it was stated that with 6 in-market legs and 27 FAA points, Crown Ambassador certification could also be obtained. A level of Founders

Crown Ambassador was developed in North America and other countries requiring 20 Q12 legs or Diamond certification (6 Q6 legs) and 30 FAA points. Previously, a Founders Crown Ambassador pin was released in Japan in 1998 and even before (1995) it existed in Taiwan, where it was named Q12 Crown Ambassador.

All IBOs qualifying at Crown Ambassador level with at least 20 FAA points are invited to the Founders Council.

Ultimate Crown Ambassador

Rich DeVos and Jay Van Andel established the FAA points system in 1991. These FAA points accounted for incentives until 2002, but no pin levels

  • By their seniority, most Crown Ambassadors sit on several IBOAI boards, setting business policies that influence all IBOs globally.
The Ultimate Crown Ambassador is the pinnacle of success that may be attained in the Amway business. It is a unique and coveted position that can only be attained by a select few people who have shown extraordinary leadership, vision, and devotion to their Amway business. The only people who have ever attained this rank are those individuals.

A person needs to fulfill a number of requirements before they may be promoted to the position of Ultimate Crown Ambassador. To begin, they need to have reached the level of Crown Ambassador, which is the second-highest level that can be reached in the Amway business. This calls for a large amount of laborious work, undivided attention, and the ability to take the initiative.

Once a person has reached the rank of Crown Ambassador in Amway, they are obligated to continue developing and expanding their Amway business. In order to assist people in their business in achieving success, they are required to display excellent leadership abilities and mentorship. In addition to this, they are required to satisfy certain performance objectives, such as earning a particular amount of sales volume and constructing a huge organization consisting of prosperous Amway business owners.

In the entire history of the Amway company, there have been only a select few people who have managed to climb to the position of Ultimate Crown Ambassador. These individuals are known across the direct-selling industry as being some of the most successful and powerful leaders there are.

One person that fits this description is Dexter Yager, who in 2004 was promoted to the position of Ultimate Crown Ambassador. In addition to the fact that he is widely regarded as one of the most successful Amway distributors, Yager is well-known for his abilities in the areas of leadership and mentoring. He has been a part of the industry for more than half a century and has established a sizable organization consisting of prosperous Amway business owners located all over the world.

Jim Dornan is another well-known Ultimate Crown Ambassador; he became a member of this elite group in the year 1995. Dornan has been a part of the Amway industry for more than 30 years, and he is well-known for his abilities in the areas of leadership and mentoring. He has been instrumental in the development of a sizable organization of prosperous Amway business owners across the continents of North America, Europe, and Asia.

The fact that these individuals have worked so diligently, given their full attention, and shown such dedication to their Amway businesses is evidenced by the fact that they have attained the title of Ultimate Crown Ambassador. They have exhibited great leadership qualities, and through their contributions, effective organizations of Amway business owners have been built and grown in a variety of countries throughout the world.

To summarize, becoming an Ultimate Crown Ambassador is the pinnacle of success that may be achieved in the Amway business. It is a unique and coveted status that can only be attained by a small group of individuals who have shown great leadership, vision, and devotion to their Amway business. These individuals are known as Amway Million Dollar Directors. The accomplishment of this rank is a demonstration of how hard these individuals have worked, how dedicated and committed they have been to their Amway business, and it serves as a source of motivation for others who wish to achieve success in the direct-selling sector.

 Carol

Carol is Todd Haynes's 2015 romantic drama-period film. Phyllis Nagy's screenplay is based on Patricia Highsmith's 1952 novel The Price of Salt (republished as Carol in 1990). The movie stars Cate Blanchett, Rooney Mara, Sarah Paulson, Jake Lacy, Kyle Chandler.

Set in New York City in the early 1950s, Carol tells the storey of a clandestine affair between an ambitious female photographer and an older woman in a divorce.

Carol was developing since 1997, when Nagy wrote the screenplay's first draught. British firm Film4 Productions and executive Tessa Ross financed development. The film had a rough development phase including money, rights, scheduling difficulties, and accessibility issues.

Number 9 Films joined on board in 2011, after Elizabeth Karlsen secured the novel's rights. The picture is co-produced by New York-based Killer Films, who joined the project in 2013 after being directed by Haynes' associate Christine Vachon. Main photography on British-American production started in March 2014 in Cincinnati, Ohio and lasted 34 days. Cinematographer Edward Lachman filmed Carol on film Super 16mm.

Carol premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on May 17, 2015 and was released on November 20 and November 27 in the United Kingdom. Grossing nearly $42 million on a $11 million budget, the picture was lauded for Haynes' direction and Blanchett and Mara's performances and was the best-reviewed 2015 film.

Carol competed for Cannes' Palme d'Or, where Mara tied with Emmanuelle Bercot for the Best Actress Award. The film received many accolades, including five nominations for the Golden Globe Award, six nominations for Oscars and nine nominations for the BAFTA Award; as well as five Dorian Awards and awards from the New York Film Critics Circle, the Los Angeles Film Critics Association and the National Film Critics Society.

It appeared significantly in various "best of" film lists, and was rated as the finest LGBT film ever by the British Film Institute.

During the 1952 Christmas season, ambitious photographer Therese Belivet works in Manhattan's department store, Frankenberg. She meets a lovely woman, Carol Aird, who's seeking for her daughter, Rindy.

Carol buys a model train set at Therese's suggestions. When Carol leaves her gloves on the counter. Using Frankenberg's sales slip with Carol's name and address, Therese mails her.

Therese's lover, Richard, wants her to go with him to France, expecting they'll marry, but her connection is ambiguous. A common buddy, Dannie, invites Therese to a photo editor buddy's workplace, The New York Times, and offers to introduce her. Meanwhile, Carol's going through her husband's painful divorce, Harge. Carol phones Frankenberg's to thank the clerk for returning the gloves, inviting Therese to lunch. Therese visits Dannie, kissing her, but she gets uncomfortable and leaves.

Carol welcomes Therese to New Jersey's home. She stops buying a Christmas tree, and Therese pictures her candidly. Harge arrives suddenly to take Rindy to Florida for Christmas, becoming suspicious of Therese, as Carol had an affair with her friend Abby years earlier. Therese's argument witnesses. After leaving Rindy, a sad Carol accompanies Therese to the station to return home.

Carol calls to apologise and they meet at Therese's flat, where Carol presents her with a suitcase with a Canon camera and film present.

Carol has learnt that Harge asks the judge to examine a "morality clause" against her, threatening to disclose her homosexuality and giving Rindy full custody. She decides to take a road trip to avoid divorce stress and invites Therese to join her.

Richard accuses Therese of being smitten with Carol, and predicts that Carol would soon tyre. Both dispute and end their relationship. On trip's second night, Therese meets a travelling salesman, Tommy Tucker.

On New Year's Eve, first kiss Carol and Therese and have sex. The next morning, they realise that Tucker is actually a hired private investigator for evidence against Carol.

Carol confronts Tucker, threatening him at gunpoint, but he claims to have sent Harge tape recordings. Carol and Therese return. The next day, in Chicago, Therese hears that Carol flew home to fight for her daughter's custody, asking Abby to drive Therese home.

Abby gives Carol's letter. Therese phones Carol back home, but knowing she risks losing Rindy's custody if she maintains her relationship with Therese, Carol hangs up.

Therese prepares her photography portfolio and lands a job at The New York Times. Meanwhile, Carol saw a counsellor as a divorce settlement stipulation.

During a mid-April contentious meeting with divorce lawyers, Carol abruptly discloses what the tapes show and refuses to deny her sexuality. To avoid going to court and the potential of a public scandal, she says he can have Rindy's custody provided he allows her regular visits.

Carol writes to Therese, meeting in Ritz Tower Hotel's lounge. Carol tells she's going to work for a furniture firm and took an apartment on Madison Avenue.

Therese declines Carol's invitation to join her. Carol tells Therese she meets associates at the Oak Room, and if she changes her mind they can have supper.

Therese remains, Carol says, "I adore you." Jack, a colleague who hasn't seen Therese in months, and Carol exits, interrupts them.

Therese takes Jack's transportation to a party, but finds she can't connect to anybody. She departs Oak Room. She searches and sees Carol at a table.

Therese hesitates, walks to Carol. Your eyes connect. Carol gazes at Therese with a slow-growing smile.

Crown Ambassador

The pin was designed in 1977 as IBO achievements developed. Crown Ambassador qualification requires:

  • A certified Platinum must have 20 legs (3 must be on the market) to qualify as a Crown Ambassador, each qualifying at Silver Producer level for at least 6 months of the fiscal year.

or

  • Diamond qualify for 6 months of the fiscal year (6 legs must be on the market) and create at least 27 FAA credits during the fiscal year.

  • In 1980, Crown Ambassador was revealed to be raised to 25 legs, each having a dowline Direct Distributor. This adjustment produced an issue where some distributors acquired the 20 legs in 1980, but not the new 25 leg criterion, therefore they missed Crown Ambassador designation. In 1980, Crown Ambassador's OTCA payment doubled to $50,000.
  • In 1982, it was stated that Crown Ambassador will be altered to 22 legs who qualified for 6 months in the fiscal year at 25 percent level. Crown Ambassador's 1982 OTCA payout was $50,000.
  • In 1983, it was stated that Crown Ambassador will be altered again to 20 legs who qualified for six months in the fiscal year at 25 percent level.
  • In 2000, Crown Ambassador's OTCA payment was $150,000. One year later it was $168,000.
In 2002, it was stated that with 6 in-market legs and 27 FAA points, Crown Ambassador certification could also be obtained. A level of Founders Crown Ambassador was developed in North America and other countries requiring 20 Q12 legs or Diamond certification (6 Q6 legs) and 30 FAA points.

Rich DeVos and Jay Van Andel established the FAA points system in 1991. These FAA points accounted for incentives until 2002, but no pin levels.

200 Plus Crown Ambassador

Kim's certified in 2002 and 40 FAA Points (2002). Their immediate diamonds are Eugene & Sarah Kim. They're downlines in Ron Puryear's organisation WWDB. They started their Amway business in 1990. They moved back to Korea after 20 years in 1991. They left Ruby in 1992, but plummeted to 12% owing to the awful economic circumstances in Korea. Then they immediately rebuilt their business. After only 4 years on the Korean market, they went Diamond in 1994, Double Diamond in 1995. The Kim's shattered 119 New Diamonds!!! A new record needs a new title. The title "unofficial" 100 Plus Crown Ambassador was bestowed to Kim's. 240 New Diamonds broke in 2002! The 200 Plus Crown Ambassador pin was developed. The Kim's had 13 Founders Council members in 2003 (Founders Triple Diamond and above). They had almost 400 Diamonds downline in 2005.

Esther Kim previously said: "I've been using Amway goods for about 15 years, but nobody told me about the plan." Kims are part of a leg that was initially founders' Crown Ron Puryear clients for many years.

They are founding member of international organisations' TOP4 group.

Story

Share America's Dream

The American dream reaches other areas of the world, this time through a fairly normal Korean couple who decided to leave the U.S., their twenty-year-old home, and return to their Korean country to start their own independent business. Their quest for achievement was their sole company. Four short years later, they reached Double Diamond, acquiring time and money to help others. As they continued to serve others, Triple Diamond's company flourished. They became 100+ Crown Ambassadors in 2002.

Everything's possible

Leonard and Esther Kim are a real example of a life-changing business. Starting with business cards and a strong drive to succeed, the Kims grew their firm to a worldwide market without national borders. They feel nothing is impossible, and better things are in store for their future as opportunities continue to appear.

Our potential is limitless!

Good leaders well serve others. "Often people believe you must step over those before you to achieve," adds Leonard. "But it's very different. To thrive in this industry, your downline must succeed first." The Kims showed the incredible success that can be attained by implementing this philosophy. They achieved an exciting new milestone in corporate history by breaking over 100 new diamonds in a year. This remarkable feat was never accomplished before. A brand-new level demanded a brand-new title, and the 100+ Crown Ambassador pin was first born and presented.

Best record to come

The Kims later broke over 200 additional Diamonds, earning another record and a new pin—200+ Crown Ambassadors. Definitely, a team effort achieved both these aims and generated these achievements. Many tens of thousands participated and enjoy the thrill of achieving these exceptional accomplishments. The true accomplishment is how many lives the Kims' work has benefited.

The Future Content

Kims are content with their lifestyles and appreciate being welcomed anywhere in Korea by people. They prefer not having to worry about their future and the comfort and freedom of a safe, abundant existence that allows them to take an interest in others' security and happiness. Recently when asked about an anonymous good deed they had done, Leonard and Esther just answered, "We were glad to help others, therefore we wouldn't talk about it."

Branch out

Although their twenty years of living in the U.S. prepared them for living overseas, they believe they were taught a lot by travels they did for business. They spent two months overseas, seeing Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, South Africa, Hawaii, China, Europe, the U.S. mainland, and many other nations.

The Kims began spreading out to other nations after a Japanese-speaking engagement allowed Leonard and several of his downline to explore around Japan. Now he's also interested in Chinese and Hong Kong markets.

Leonard and Esther have grown to enjoy the World Wide Group support system greatly. With Ron and Georgia Lee Puryear's guidance, Leonard and Esther helped expand World Wide Dreambuilders Korea into an active support structure that helps unite their business. "We're simply a little part of a much bigger system that circles the whole world," Leonard observes, "and without World Wide Group support organisation, our business wouldn't be as successful as it is."

Life is sharing, helping others!

The Kims are definitely an example of what can happen as they enabled their life to benefit themselves and many others. Their willingness to help others increased their business and many blessings followed. As with all real and lasting success, one of the greatest blessings is who they have become by building their own business.

Reviewing their activities in Japan, Hong Kong, and China, Leonard and Esther believe the business has no limits. Their hope is that many others will follow their pattern of establishing a strong foundation in Korea as Founder's Crown Ambassadors and branching out to become international market leaders, too.

The motto of Leonard is: "Winners never give up, and those who give up never succeed." Esther's is: "Accept one's own endless abilities and act with confidence." Kims say the higher you go in this business, the higher you want to climb. Devoting their lives to 'making Diamonds,' they say, "We sincerely hope that many people will discover the Diamonds world of Leonard and Esther and enjoy the comfortable life and freedom that comes with business."

People around the world really want the benefits of living the American dream—the freedom and responsibility to own a successful business, and the privilege of helping others along the way. It takes courage to claim a life of victory, and Leonard and Esther have shown that a tiny spark of hope can begin to grow to include thousands of other people's hopes and dreams. Ordinary, average people become heroes.

Sound, steady, all-time solid business! "Every Christmas! CORE everyday! Change everyday! Challenge everyday! Choice everyday! Celebration everyday! Charity everyday! ”

"We think God created all for excellence. See you upstairs! ”

Félix Hernández Amway

This article is about Baseball Major League pitcher. For Venezuelan soccer player, see Félix José Hernández.

The first or paternal surname of this Spanish name is Hernández, the second or maternal surname is García.

Félix Abraham Hernández García (born April 8, 1986), nicknamed "King Felix," is a freelance Venezuelan baseball pitcher. He previously played Seattle Mariners' Major League Baseball (MLB) from 2005 to 2019.

Hernández threw the 23rd perfect game against the Tampa Bay Rays in a 1-0 victory at Safeco Field on August 15, 2012. It was also Seattle's first flawless franchise history game. His perfect game remains Major League Baseball's latest.

On April 23, 2016, Hernández claimed a Mariners pitcher record for most strikeouts when he struck out Los Angeles Angels' Rafael Ortega for his 2.163rd Mariner pitcher strikeout. Randy Johnson's previous record of 2,162 strikeouts. Hernández's 146th win on May 9 gave him the club record in that area, beating Jamie Moyer

Early life

Minor league career

Hernández was born in Valencia. He was originally seen by Luis Fuenmayor, a part-time mariners scout who watched him throwing outside Maracaibo, Venezuela, at age 14. Fuenmayor recommended Hernández to fellow scouts Pedro Avila and Emilio Carrasquel, impressed by the young man who could throw 90 mph. The Seattle Mariners signed Hernandez after turning 16, in compliance with MLB rules.

After finishing high school, Hernández eventually accepted his first professional contract. Mariners International Operations Director Bob Engle signed Hernández as a free agent on July 4, 2002. Hernández received a huge $710,000 signing bonus, though he stated the Mariners weren't the top bidder.

Other teams trying to sign him included the New York Yankees and the Atlanta Braves, both organisations offering more money than Seattle.

One reason Hernández selected the Mariners is that at the time his idol, Venezuelan pitcher Freddy García, was pitching for the team. His agent, Wil Polidor, also credited the choice to Hernández's father Félix Sr., a trucking industry entrepreneur who negotiated for his son. Engle and the other Mariners scouts had built a familial bond to explain their goals for Félix and earn the family's trust.

Professional career

Minor league career

The following year, Hernández travelled to the U.S. and began pitching in the minor league system of Mariners. In 2003, Hernández tore Class-A with a 7–2 score in Everett and Wisconsin. Returning to his native Venezuela to pitch in the winter league there, at 17, he held his own against competition that included seasoned big league players.

In 2004, Hernández was selected the year's Mariners' minor league pitcher, a season that also saw him compete in the Futures Game. He began with Inland Empire in the California League before being promoted to Double-A San Antonio, with a combined 14–4 with a 2.95 ERA and 172 strikeouts pitched in 1491⁄3 innings.

In early 2005, MLB America named him as the No. 1 pitching prospect in baseball and No. 2 behind Joe Mauer. Hernández continued his 2005 success with the Pacific Coast League Triple-A Tacoma Rainiers, earning a 9–4 record with a league-leading 2,25 ERA and 100 strikeouts in just 88 innings. He was picked for the Triple-A All-Star Game, but didn't play since he spent a month on the shoulder bursitis disabled list. He was also named Year's PCL Rookie and Year's PCL Pitcher.

The U.S.S. fan site called Hernández "King Felix" throughout his minor league years

Félix Hernández

Seattle Mariners

Major league debut, 2005

Soon after his injury returned, Mariners called Hernández to the major leagues. He made his debut on August 4, 2005, losing 3–1 in an away game against Detroit Tigers. He was the youngest pitcher in the major leagues since José Rijo in 1984 at 19, 118 days.  Hernández won his first major league win on August 9, 2005, pitching eight shutout innings in a 1–0 home triumph over the Minnesota Twins. He registered a stretch of 112 batters facing his first extra-base hit, a double by the Chicago White Sox's Jermaine Dye.

Hernández has a 4–4 record in 12 starts, with 77 strikeouts and 2,67 ERA. His rookie eligibility exhausted with 84+1⁄3 innings pitched. After the season, he became the focus of a debate over the likelihood of his World Baseball Classic 2006 pitching. Although his home Venezuela placed Hernández on a provisional roster, the Mariners objected, citing his past injury and expressing concern about the stress on his arm by adding this competition to the demands of a full season at such a young age in the leagues. Their appeal to the technical committee was finally upheld.

Upon arrival in the big leagues, Hernández received uniform number 59. He moved to number 34 in 2006, the same number Freddy García (after trading to Chicago White Sox) had worn as a mariner.

Soraya

Soraya Raquel Lamilla Cuevas (March 11, 1969 – May 10, 2006) was an American-Colombian singer/songwriter, guitarist, arranger, record producer.

A successful Colombian music star, on Billboard's Latin Pop Airplay charts, she has two number-one songs. She earned a 2004 Latin Grammy Award for "Best Album by Songwriter" for the self-titled Soraya album she produced and was nominated for "Female Pop Vocal Album" for her album El Otro Lado de Mi in 2005. (literally "The Other Side of Me").

She was the 2005 Billboard Latin Music Awards opening act. Her career spanned ten years, recording five albums.

Soraya died May 10, 2006 after a protracted struggle against breast cancer.

Biography

Early life

Soraya Raquel Lamilla Cuevas was born a year after her father, mother, and brother relocated from their native Colombia to the United States. The family travelled back to Colombia as a newborn, but when Soraya was eight, they returned to New Jersey. "Soraya," a common name in the Middle East, can be interpreted as "Pleiades."  Maternal relatives of Soraya were Christians from Lebanon to Colombia.  Colombia's mother, Yamila Cuevas Gharib, was a housewife. Soraya's father, Gregorio Lamilla, worked for Colombia's exporting corporation. In the U.S., family life was stressful, so he worked three or four jobs to meet ends.

At age 5, Soraya grew interested in music when she heard her uncle playing music in Colombia. He played "Pueblito Viejo," a traditional Colombian folk song utilising an instrument called the tiple, a triple string guitar. Her parents got her a guitar she taught to play. Her first public performance was at Carnegie Hall in New York City as a member of the N.Y.C. Youth Philharmonic. She was a valedictorian at Point Pleasant Boro High School, when she began writing her own music.

Soraya was 12 when she was first diagnosed with breast cancer, 18 when she had a recurrence, and 22 when she died in 1992. Soraya stated her sense of responsibility rose because she needed to look after her mother and handle all household tasks. She would also join her mother to the doctor's office, researching breast cancer together and participating in the Cure Race.

Soraya attended New Jersey's Rutgers University, studying English literature, French philosophy, and women's studies. She initially thought that she might be too bashful to play before larger crowds, but she soon won over her nervousness and found her enormous potential as a live musician when she played at coffee houses and rallies throughout the enormous Rutgers campus to rapt audiences. She began her music career as a flight attendant.

Musical career

Soraya got a record contract with Polygram Records/Island Records in 1994. Her first album, released in English and Spanish two years later, was titled On nights like this/En esta noche. Both versions gained significant critical praise and allowed her to tour the U.S., Latin America and Europe as a guest performer for bands including Natalie Merchant, Zucchero, Sting, Michael Bolton and Alanis Morissette.

Her songs soared to the top of Latin American, European, and U.S. Hispanic charts. Her first hit, "Suddenly/De Repente," reached #1 in Billboard Latin Pop charts, with some mainstream adult contemporary radio in the English version. Her second album, Torre de marfil/Wall of smiles, was released in late 1997 and helped her achieve worldwide notoriety after a song co-written with her idol Carole King.

Soraya was diagnosed with Stage III breast cancer in 200, shortly after releasing her third album, Cuerpo y alma / I'm yours, only days before she was going to tour and promote it. She spent time off fighting illness.

Soraya returned to the music industry in 2003 with the release of her fourth and self-titled album, Soraya. Songs highlighted her challenges, views and life love. She authored, produced and arranged the Latin Grammy CD for "Best Album by a Singer-Songwriter."

She created another hit album, El otro lado de mí, before she died in 2006.

Death

On May 10, 2006, 37, Soraya died of breast cancer in Miami, Florida. She was originally diagnosed at age 31 in 2000 after noticing a lump during a routine self-examination. At stage III, she was diagnosed with double mastectomy and breast reconstruction, radiation therapy and chemotherapy. Soraya lost her mother, grandmother, and maternal aunt to breast cancer.

Breast cancer advocate

Soraya supported and educated breast cancer, especially for Hispanic women. She became the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation's first Latin spokeswoman, touring the Americas to promote awareness. She took her music career sabbatical throughout September and October to focus on awareness of breast cancer.

Soraya penned and released "No one else/Por ser quien yo," a song that recounts her struggle in combating breast cancer. Both tracks can be downloaded on her website. All profits help Susan G. Komen Foundation.

"I know there are many unanswered questions that hope doesn't leave with me, and above all that my mission doesn't finish with my physical tale," were Soraya's last comments to her admirers and media before her death.

Lucich, Walter & Encarnación Amway

Encarnacion and Walter always looked for different ways forward in the traditional setting. And although they knew nothing about network marketing, they decided to take the opportunity with AMWAY: "We wanted something of the situation we were in, but we never imagined that there could be new ways to develop companies."

Everyone remembers their first meeting with Amway Business in 1996 with great happiness: "with a late night call, a meeting in a restaurant at 10 pm, and you will know the business plan on a plaque.

" But they found something so simple, simultaneously, an opportunity that they could not pass up, so they decided to start their business. From that moment on, nothing could stop the couple and when they went to a convention they knew what they could get:

Lucich, Walter & Encarnación
"more than paying our debts, it gave us the freedom and quality of life that we began to enjoy in 2000, when we qualified. for the Diamond level. "

"We were accredited as Founders of Diamonds in 2006, with a consolidated economic reality, profitable investments, enjoying that our partners reach their qualifications at all levels, our six children and many nephews".

At the end of that year, they decided to take a break from AMWAY activities to nurture their spiritual side through a Christian association of which they are a part.

They became Venezuela's first executive diamond in 2012 and reached the double diamond in May 2013.
