It was in August 1984 that Angie Somers and Peter Ross launched their Amway operation.
At that point, their distributorship had sponsored 21 other distributorships, and their company organisation was comprised of approximately 70 distributorships.
In 1984, their firm was awarded Silver Producer certification, and in 1985 it was awarded Platinum Producer status.
They received their Emerald certification in 1989 and their Diamond certification in December 1990. She received her EDC certification in 1993, then her Double Diamond certification in 1997, and finally her Triple Diamond certification in 2010.
They divorced in 1992, although they continued to run the firm together for several years until they both established new relationships, at which point Angie purchased Peter's portion of the company.
Angie's Success Story From sipping champagne on the Great Wall of China to soaking up the sun in Bora Bora, Angie attributes her success to her business, which has taken her all over the world many times over the years. She has taken more than 60 all-expenses-paid vacations to exotic locations such as Hawaii, Paris, the Italian Riviera, the Greek islands, and Aspen USA since starting her firm in 1984.
Angie was a young secretary at the time she launched her business. Originally, her motivating motivation was straightforward: "No more 6:00 a.m. wake-up calls!" The speakers at a weekend seminar pushed her to consider the prospect of replacing her income, which she did in four short months after starting.
It was Jim and Nancy Dornan's tale on CD that had the most impact on Angie and spurred her to take action as well. Angie's belief system was forever altered as a result of Nancy's comment "your past is not your future" and their inspiring narrative. Her exhilaration increased as she realised that her dream of achieving financial independence was becoming a reality.
In a matter of years, Angie had established a reliable source of income while also assisting others in achieving their objectives, resulting in a win-win situation for everyone. A significant influence on her was made by the Network 21 Seminars, CDs, leadership books, and role models who set an example for her.
Angie is really appreciative for the freedom her business provides her in order to create memorable experiences that she can share with family and friends.
Her current interest is to continue to assist people in their efforts to become financially independent and to realise their goals and ambitions. “It is really satisfying to coach people, to establish a global asset, and to leave a legacy. Angie's company now has operations in more than 30 countries, and she is extremely proud of the people who have worked for her in Australia and around the world and have gone on to become great leaders in their own right.
