Ross, Skip & Susan Amway

"Skip Ross has a bachelor's degree in social science and a bachelor's degree in theology from the Fuller Seminary. 

He discovered that developing such firm perfectly matched his dedication to helping people. Susan's background as a primary teacher fit wonderfully with his, and she had grown up in an active business family. 

Skip and Susan especially wanted to reach teenagers, and as their business became successful they bought a ranch near Grand Rapids, which they named Circle "A." 

"The ranch's main aim," says Skip, "is to encourage young people to attain higher levels of performance, contribution and fulfilment, to say yes to their potential, and to become all God created them. 

This business expresses what we've committed our lives to. And it's on a world stage now."

Skip created four tapes, You Can Be a Winner. These would have been created latest in the early 1980s, if not earlier. 

It was DL=(GGE+PS)*PSI That is Dynamic Living equal to God Given Equipment plus Principle of Success and was multiplied by Proper Self Image. 

This audio course discussed God Given Equipment and Success Principles and spent considerable time creating a proper self-image. Many IBO's consider these tapes classic audio.

He also wrote a book called Say Yes to Carole Carlson's Potential. This was first published weekly in 1983, with further issues to this day. It covered the same material as series cassette.

The Barry Chi & Holly Chen 嵇龙生& 陈婉芬's are the second Double Crown Ambassadors in the world. In 2003, they became Double Crown Ambassadors with 47 Platinum legs and in 2004 they reached 45 FAA, in 2007 they reached 60 FAA. 

At the end of fiscal year 2008 they had the most FAA points: 64.25. In the 2009, they achieved FAA 70-the first in the world.

They have over 20 Crown Ambassadors and over 2000 Diamonds in their organization. They are founding members of the TOP4 group of international organisations.

They are the second double crown ambassadors in the world. In 2003, they became the double crown ambassadors of 47-legged DD and earned 45 points for qualified entrepreneurs in 2004 and 60 points for qualified entrepreneurs in 2007. 

As of the fiscal year of 2008, they have reached the highest entrepreneur points: 64.25 points. In 2009, they became the "Global No. 1, Chinese Light" entrepreneur with 70 points.

At present, their organization has more than 20 Crown Ambassador direct distributors and more than 2,000 Diamond direct distributors. They are also one of the systems that founded the four-strong international alliance.

Charlton, Art & Ollie Amway

 Arthur (Art) Charlton joined the USMC in 1941, serving his country in Peleliu's South Pacific campaign. Honorably discharged at the end of World War II as a sergeant.

Arthur co-founded and operated Comey Oil Co. in Westborough, Massachusetts. In 1964, a developing business prospect piqued his entrepreneurial spirit. 

He and Olive (Ollie) became Amway Distributors. They helped pioneer the strategies that catapulted Amway to today's multi-billion-dollar success. 

Becoming the second pair to accomplish Crown's then highest degree of success and serve on the IBOAI board of directors. 

Art became a nationally sought motivational speaker that helped others accomplish American Dream.

Ollie Charlton, 73, passed away in November 1998. Art Charlton died at 90 in September 2012

Richards, Bob & Joan Amway

Bob Richards

Robert Eugene Richards (born February 20, 1926), a retired American athlete, pastor, and politician. 

He created three U.S. Olympic Teams in two events: the 1948, 1952 and 1956 Summer Olympics as a pole vaulter and 1956 decathlete. 

He won gold medals in pole vault in 1952 and 1956, becoming the only two-time male champion in Olympic history.

While still active, Richards became an ordained minister. He ran the Populist Party ticket for U.S. President in 1984. 

Athletic career

Richards was the second man to pole 15 feet (4.57 m). While a student at Illinois University, Richards tied for the national pole vault title and followed with 20 national Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) titles, including 17 in pole vault and three in decathlon. 

The first guy to clear 15 feet was Dutch Warmerdam, who achieved the 1942 world record of 4.77 m (15 ft 7+3⁄4 in) years before Richards came to his top. While his time's dominant vaulter, Richards never established a world record.

Richards eventually became active in promoting physical health and in later years continued to vault. 

He was the first athlete to appear on the front of Wheaties cereal boxes in 1958 (although not the first shown on all aspects of the packaging), and was also the first Wheaties representative to establish up the Wheaties Sports Federation, which supported Olympic sports participation. 

Richards had four sons, also pole vaulters: Brandon, 18'2" national high school record for fourteen years from 1985;Tom won the CIF State Meeting in 1988; Bob, Junior was second in the same meeting in 1968 and later ranked #7 in the US in 1973. 

He's the only male two-time Olympic gold medal winner in the pole vault (1952 and 1956), hence he's the only man defending his Olympic championship. He also won bronze in the pole vault in 1948. Russian Yelena Isinbayeva is the only other pole vaulter besides Richards who won three Olympic gold in 2012. Richards placed 13th in the 1956 Olympics decathlon.

He was elected to the 1983 U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame, and 1975 U.S. National Track & Field Hall of Fame.

As he ageed, Richards continued to participate in various events in Track and Field, especially throwing events. 

He was one of the earliest regular participants in what has now become Masters athletics. Richards appeared on the panel game show, What's My Line? #346 January 20, 1957.

Ministry

He was ordained to the Brethren's Church in 1946 (which led to his being nicknamed the "Vaulting Vicar" or the "Pole Vaulting Parson"). 

As future church minister Billie Jean King's tennis player, Richards influenced King. One day, when King was 13 or 14, Richards asked, 

"What will you do with your life?" She said, "Reverend, I'm the world's top tennis player." In 1957, actor Hal Stalmaster played Richards as a teenager in an episode of America's ABC anthology series Cavalcade.

Beaird, Wayne & Kay Amway

(May 10, 1940 – August 29, 2015) was an American self-help author and motivational speaker. His debut book, Your Erroneous Zones (1976), is one of the best-selling books ever, with around 100 million copies sold to date.

 Early life

Born in Detroit, Michigan, to Melvin Lyle Dyer and Hazel Irene Vollick. He spent much of his first ten years at an orphanage on Detroit's east side,

when his father walked out on the family, leaving his mother to raise three boys. After graduating from Denby High School, Dyer served in the U.S. Navy from 1958-62. 

He obtained his counselling degree from Wayne State University. His thesis was entitled Leadership Training in Counselor Education.

Career

Dyer, a native of Detroit,served as a high school counsellor and as a psychology counselling professor at St. John's University, New York City. 

He followed an academic career, published in newspapers, and developed a private practise. His St. John's University lectures, focusing on positive thinking and motivational speaking approaches, drew many students. Agent Arthur Pine encouraged Dyer in his first book, Your Erroneous Zones, to document his views (1976).  

Dyer abandoned his teaching job and started a US advertising tour, pursuing bookstore appearances and media interviews ("out of the back of his station wagon", according to Michael Korda, making the best-seller lists "before book publishers even noticed what was happening"). 

Following Your Erroneous Zones, dozens more books followed, many of them best-sellers. They included Wishes Fulfilled, Excuses Begone, and Sky's Limit. 

These books' success eventually led to national TV talk show appearances including The Merv Griffin Show, The Tonight Show, and The Phil Donahue Show. 

Dyer pursued his achievement with lecture tours, a series of audiotapes, PBS shows, and regular new book publishing. Dyer's message resonated with the New Thought Movement and beyond. 

He often told experiences from family life and used his own life experience as an example repeatedly. His self-made success storey was in his appeal. 

Dyer advised readers to pursue self-actualization, calling self-reliance a path to "holy" experience, and suggested that readers emulate Jesus Christ, whom he called both a self-actualized person and a self-reliance preacher. 

Dyer opposed social stress on guilt, which he saw as today's unhealthy immobilisation owing to past misdeeds. He pushed readers to examine how parents, institutions, and even self-imposed guilt trips. 

Although Dyer initially opposed the spiritual tag, he changed his message to include more components of spirituality by the 1990s when he wrote the book Real Magic and emphasised higher awareness in Your Sacred Self.

Bob&Terry Andrews joined Amway in 1970. Their first office was Chevelle's 1968 trunk, complete with adding machine. 

Bob was then 23, Terry 19. They had learnt about the network business possibility and went looking for anyone to sponsor them, and although their origins were modest, the consequences were the opposite. 

Now, they have a wonderful home with their sons, Matt and Cale, some acres including a fishing pond. They utilise their beach property when they like, visit Hawaii, swim with Australian dolphins and dive with fellow business owners at the Great Barrier Reef. Andrews also qualify as Sapphire.

"We wouldn't trade places worldwide with anyone else," adds Bob. "It's fun loving each other and loving life."

Terry Andrews was chosen Chair of IBOAI Marketing Advisory Committee 2009 and was a member of IBOAI Marketing Advisory Committee 2007.

Bob Andrews was chosen IBOAI Chairman 2009. He was IBOAI's 2008 vice-chairman and chairman of IBOAI's Legal & Ethics Committee 2007.

Williams, Dan & Bunny Amway

 In 1966, Dan and Bunny Williams began their business on a simple plan to assist individuals attain whatever goals they chose.

Combined with hard work, this strategy set the stage for robust start-up growth. Within three months, their business earned a profit. 

The Williamses achieved Diamond in two years, Triple Diamond in five years, and Crown in thirteen. In 1979, they reached Crown Ambassador's highest accolade (then).

Dan is a second-generation business owner. "My dad joined into business nine months before we did and went straight after we got involved," 

he explains. "My sister Jan and her husband Bill, who served on board, sponsored us both. Dad sponsored two Platinums in three years, allowing him to retire at 65 in Florida. 

He offered us all a legacy of believe in God, hard work, balance in our lives, and laughter."

Business experience obtained while working with a large firm lead Dan to work with the Distributors Association for many years (IBOAI). 

He served on numerous committees in 1982-83 and again in 1986-87. Dan enjoys the independence and respect between the Independent Business Owners Association International and Quixtar Inc.

Bunny Williams died August 13, 2006. Dan Williams died in Austin, TX, August 9, 2012
