 In reflecting on their achievements, the Deaton's are particularly proud of what they've been able to accomplish for their friends. Professor Dorsey explains, "At initially, we didn't want to put any pressure on our pals." "However, for the folks who have joined us, this business has made a positive difference in their lives."

Pam, a former mental health counsellor, expresses her thoughts and emotions. We began to encounter people whose opinions we valued and whose characteristics we wished to emulate. And that's when things started to change. Our lives have always been centred on service and serving others, so this was a particularly rewarding experience for us."

After graduating from Vanderbilt with honours, their son has gone on to become a full-time Platinum. "Even though I have a Master's Degree, this business provides a lifestyle and a considerable income that I couldn't bear the thought of giving up." says Jeff Deaton.

When the Deaton's look back at their accomplishment, what sticks out is what they've been able to do for their friends. 

"At first, we didn't want to impose on our friends," recalls Dorsey, a college lecturer. "But for the folks that joined us, our business has altered their lives for the better."

Pam, a former mental health counsellor, shares her feelings. We began to encounter people we respected, the kind of people we aspired to be. And we began to alter. 

Since our lives have always been oriented on the ministry and helping others, this was tremendously rewarding."

Now their son, a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Vanderbilt, is a full-time Platinum. Says Jeff Deaton, "even though I have a Master's Degree, this business offers a lifestyle and such considerable money that I just didn't want to leave behind."
