Joe Victor collaborated directly with the other founding members of the AWA on the development of the original Sales and Marketing Strategy. He has grown his company into one of the largest and most successful independent enterprises in the world, earning the status of Crown Direct Distributor in the United Kingdom. The Association's early years were marked by his dedication to its Board of Directors, which set an example for others who followed him in setting a high bar for themselves.
When Joe and Helen were married in 1961, they were awarded the Emerald pin and the Diamond pin, respectively. The firm was united with Joe and Helyne's to form Amway Crowns in 1979, with the help of their son and Direct Distributor, Ron Victor and his wife Carol. Having worked closely together for some time, the two couples were delighted to form a new collaboration that allowed the elder Victors to spend more time at their vacation condominium in Florida.
During the time of the merger, the other son, Jody, had already achieved the status of Double Diamond. He becomes a Crown Direct Distributor two years later, in August 1981, after earning his certification.
Joe died in 1998 at the age of 79, leaving behind a wife and three children. Helyne died in 2007 at the age of 87. They had four Diamond legs, all of which were Triple Diamonds or higher. She amalgamated (integrated) her business with that of her son Jody after Joe's death, and he was in charge of both businesses until she passed away.

An Inheritance from One Generation to the Next Jody is well conscious of his excellent fortune, having grown up as the son of genuine networking pioneers.
According to Jody Victor, "I'm extremely lucky to have gotten off to such a strong start with Plan B."
The success of my parents' networking efforts enabled us to live an extraordinary lifestyle. You can conjure up whatever scenario you want.
But put the stuff aside for a moment. Some of the non-material features of the networking lifestyle are far more essential than the material ones.
For me, our way of life meant that I never had to witness my father come home from work grumpy, moaning about his company, or kicking the dog.
Because of the high level of activity in our home, watching television was not a priority.
“There was always something more fun to do!” Other legacies include: Jody's drive and ambition can be attributed to his refusal to simply sit back and observe passively as his parents provided him with a comfortable lifestyle.
Despite his young age, this young man possessed the will and ambition to start his own organisation.
Jody had already achieved Emerald status at the age of 27 and was in the process of qualifying for Diamond.
That's when he met Kathy, who was a member of his organization's lower level.
They first met in 1975 and quickly formed a friendship, which bloomed into a romantic relationship a few years later.
Jody and Kathy tied the knot in 1981.
“Jody and I are quite similar,” Kathy says, and she adds, "and we discovered that immediately away—especially in our attitudes toward business.
” Jody agrees, saying, "Kathy and I both believe in the need of maintaining a single-minded focus on growing the firm.
" I could tell she was on the fast track to success right from the beginning. Now, as a member of the Victor team, I'm delighted that we've achieved success together.”
"Let's postpone the honeymoon," says the couple.
Jody had gained Double Diamond just a few months before they got married in May 1981. And, very soon after they were married, Kathy and Jody achieved Triple Diamond (in July 1981) and then Crown with their combined efforts (in August 1981).
“As Kathy pointed out, we are quite similar. Consequently, when we were married in May 1981, we chose to postpone our honeymoon because we were competing for the Crown!”
“You bet!” says the author. Kathy bursts out laughing. “It was well worth it in the end. Since then, we've taken several honeymoons, and I anticipate that we'll have many more.”
The Legacy Is Still Alive “One of the things that both Jody and I appreciate about networking is that it gives you the opportunity to share an almost limitless amount of skills and practical information with others.
Firstly, just as Jody's parents shared information with him, we are able to share this information with Stephen, Terri, and Joe as well.
“Our children have played an important role in our company,” she observes.
“That is one of the reasons why this firm continues to grow and prosper.”
Jody goes on to say more. “And, of course, the act of giving does not stop with family; it only begins with family.
As well as helping complete strangers turn their life around, we have the ability to help anyone in need. It is a great feeling, I must tell you,” he continues, to know that you have the potential to serve others.
Suddenly, you can't help but feel good about yourself!”
