Witter, Paul & Linda Amway

 Linda

Linda Louise, Lady McCartney (born September 24, 1941, previously See; died April 17, 1998) was an American photographer, musician, animal rights campaigner, and entrepreneur.

She was best known for being the first wife of Paul McCartney of the Beatles, as well as for her pictures of celebrities and contemporary musicians, which she took throughout their marriage.

Linda McCartney's Sixties: Portrait of an Era, a collection of her photographs, was released in 1992 by the author Linda McCartney.

Following her marriage to Paul, which took place in March 1969 at Marylebone Town Hall in London, Linda travelled to St John's Wood Church for a blessing.

Her daughter, Heather Louise, from her marriage to Melville See, was adopted by her current husband, and she is now a mother to three children.

The McCartneys had three other children together in addition to Paul. Following the Beatles' disbandment in 1970, Paul and Linda recorded the album Ram, which was released in 1971, and went on to form the band Wings.

She became a member of her husband's touring band following the dissolution of Wings in 1981 and remained with them until the New World Tour in 1993.

Linda went on to become an animal rights activist and author of several vegetarian cookbooks, which she has also published.

She and her husband also co-founded the Linda McCartney Foods firm. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1995 and passed away from the disease in 1998, at the age of 56, when she was 56.
