My wife, Rashmi, works as a computer specialist, and I am a captain in the Merchant Navy. Both of us had what our parents and society may have considered to be excellent education, training, and occupations during our lives. 

However, we were becoming increasingly aware that the standard equations were shifting and that we would want something different.

We wanted to be able to spend quality time together as a family without me having to leave for several months at a time to return to my ship. Our son, Varun, missed me, and I, too, felt awful for not being able to spend more time with him and his wife, Rashmi, as I would have liked.

After graduating with an engineering degree, I went into the Amway company. In the years before that, I was involved in our typical business. Renu, my wife, is a biochemistry graduate who works as a stay-at-home mom. We have a wonderful son, Akaash Niruban, who is eight years old and very cute.

We were on the lookout for good opportunities when, by the grace of God, the Amway business opportunity presented itself to us. Because the Amway Concept was so new at the time, we were unable to grasp the larger picture when we first looked at the plan. As a result, we were not quite serious about the business at the outset. We entered the business only on the basis of our belief in the quality of the items and the fact that the investment necessary for this venture was little.

We made the decision to close the business after two months. We came to the conclusion that this business was not our cup of tea, so we convened a meeting with the intent of returning the business kit to our sponsor in its whole. However, after attending the conference, we changed our minds and decided to try our hand at this business for a period of one year. This decision proved to be a watershed moment in our lives, putting us on the path to financial independence. We faced numerous obstacles; there were numerous ups and downs, as well as numerous people joining and leaving, but we remained steadfast.

Today, we give thanks to God for providing us with the wisdom to make the correct decisions. We owe a debt of gratitude to our wonderful mentors, who had faith in us when no one else did. We also want to express our gratitude to our intelligent and diligent staff, because it is only through the power of collaboration that ordinary individuals like us can achieve extraordinary outcomes. After completing an Electronics Engineering degree and many courses while working, I spent 15 years at some of the country's most prestigious organisations. My wife, Meenakshi, has a Master's degree in computer science and previously worked as a Senior Manager in a company before deciding to pursue a career in teaching. I'm originally from a very little village called Ferozpur Banger in the district of Sonipat in Haryana, and I'm currently a resident of Gurgaon. In addition to being a retired Executive Engineer from the state government's irrigation department, my mother is also a homemaker. Meenakshi is from the village of Bahadurgarh in the district of Jhajjar (Haryana). Her father is a retired Electrical Engineer from the state Electricity Department, and her mother is a stay-at-home mother who works part time. One afternoon during my typical office job, one of my coworkers gave me the Amway Business Plan, which I found quite interesting. It piqued my interest, and I promptly filled out the application form. I had no idea at the time that this seemingly inconsequential action would have such a profound impact on our life years later. At the time, our life was 'Cool,' with three good incomes in a family of four, as well as owning our own car and house with no monthly payments. In spite of criticism from our parents and lack of success in the first few years of business, we worked tirelessly and created the company!!! We are both big dreamers who were drawn to our business by the tremendous potential benefits. Trips to Italy, Spain, France, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Switzerland, and Australia have been highlights of our international travels. In addition, we were able to finance three overseas journeys to visit my parents and in-laws, who are now really pleased with our decision to start this amazing company.
