Reardon, Carl & Marsha Amway
Making good choices puts your life in order, and that enables you to reach incredible goals. A few years ago, Carl and Marsha made good decisions, and they are happily married with three adorable daughters. Discusses Marsha; "Networking has extended our lives instead of shortening them."
Success was hard for Carl and Marsha. Both were descendants of working-class families. Both graduated from college and supported themselves throughout. Life would not be delivered to them on a silver platter. They met, fell in love, and married thirteen weeks later.
Carl spent sixteen years as the East Peoria, Illinois, City Attorney. Long work hours and weeks left little time for family life. She worked as an administrator in a nursing home while also managing the household.
Despite the steep price, the Reardon's found considerable success in their respective professions. He earned $60,000 annually and was well-known for being a confrontational attorney. His real estate, limited partnerships, and land development projects grew considerably. but it would all be for nothing
In 1982, a tide of financial disaster hit the shores; interest rates skyrocketed, the housing market disappeared, and the farm economy dropped. Several bankers filed involuntary bankruptcy against his company. Carl spent three years fighting to get his assets liquidated and pay his creditors. Their life was on hold for three years. A time of despair and hopelessness followed.
With his money running out, Carl immersed himself into his law firm in order to acquire money to prevent further losses. In greater amounts, hours were trading for dollars, yet it made little difference. Work filled his life, but he realised he'd never be able to retire and re-enter their comfortable existence. There was no doubt in my mind that I would be working forever.
After two years of trying, Carl's secretary introduced the Reardon's to interactive distribution. It was only until a friend offered suggestions and showed him the plan, that Carl decided they would attempt it. Within sixteen months, he had quit his law practise to develop a full-time network
"Half-time in our life, time for a new game plan." Carl and Marsha went into the locker room to re-evaluate their lives and jobs. The more they planned and deliberated, the more they believed their new Quixtar corporation could guarantee their victory.
In four and a half years, the Reardon's rose to the status of Diamond. Their most thrilling moment came as they stepped into a throng of 5,000 independent company owners and presented themselves as new Diamonds.
The extensive Reardon network is very much a family affair today. Allison, Carla, and Amy have all gone on to become distributors, and now help manage increasing branches of the network. Says Marsha, "It is nice to involve and help them in our success, and to see them meet and interact with so many new people."
Reardon's have time and money to fulfil their prior dreams. "We're producing more than we have before," says Carl. We no longer feel stressed.
Marsha said, "We are really thankful and grateful for this chance." "So many individuals only need a chance, and they can do it from there. For the record, this is all much more than just moneymaking. I assist others realise their aspirations. It's about witnessing your loved ones learn and grow. No sight or touch can match the beauty of the heart's feelings."
