Background company
Founded in 1974, Amway Hong Kong is Far East's pioneer market. Amway is also the first company to effectively bring direct selling to Hong Kong. Like most Amway success stories, Hong Kong operation had a humble start with a team of only four. Amway employs about 150 workers with 100,000 Distributors and Privileged Customers. Amway Hong Kong has expanded fast over the past 35 years, establishing a dominant position in Hong Kong's direct sales market*.


Direct selling pioneer


As industry leader, Amway promotes the company image successfully by delivering comprehensive business plan and high-quality products. To promote the professional image of direct selling business and improve knowledge of industry ethics, Amway advocated Hong Kong's Direct Selling Association. Hong Kong's Direct Selling Association was founded in 1979. As one of the original members, Amway maintains a high standard of corporate ethics. Several Amway Hong Kong General Managers served as Association Presidents. Through various events like seminars, symposia and exhibitions, it promotes the local direct selling business and increases the industry's professional image.

Amway believes a company's prestige is established through time. The company effectively built its name and acquired Hong Kong people's trust by providing exceptional products and services throughout the past 35 years. According to Synovate's June 2009 study, conducted among Hong Kong adults aged 15-64 who have no Amway links, Amway is the most well-known and respectable direct selling company.

Amway's ISO 9001:2008 accreditation

Amway Hong Kong is happy to have acquired ISO 9001:2008 accreditation, confirming the company's achievement of world-class After Sale Services, Inventory Management, Home Delivery and Shop Delivery elements.

Earlier this year, Amway Hong Kong committed to this accreditation as part of its drive to continually improve quality management. Resources were assigned to staff for training technicians and customer service, involving a full-scale examination of workflow and documentation.

Five years ago, Hong Kong introduced eSpringTM's third generation and swiftly received recognition from distributors and privileged customers. Telephone polls on eSpring after-sales service demonstrated a consistent improvement in customer satisfaction, from 90% in 2005 to 95% by 2009.

Amway Hong Kong is devoted to ongoing pursuit of service excellence and will offer a further benefit to customers in 2011 by extending the Warranty Guarantee duration, one-stop delivery (eSpring) and installing eSpring auxiliary faucets.

Amway Service Recognized in Mystery Shoppers

Amway Hong Kong was voted "2010 Service Retailer of the Year" in the Mystery Shoppers Program category of the Hong Kong Retail Management Association (HKRMA). Amway Hong Kong achieved 95.21 average scores And reached a new high record.

The award recognises the exceptional quality of service given in our Merchandising Centers. The participating Mystery Shoppers Program organisations - approximately 140 enterprises with roughly 4,513 retail stores in total - were grouped into 17 service areas.

In the Supermarkets sector, 14 organisations are involved with over 1,130 retail outlets. The service performance of participating companies in the Mystery Shoppers Program is thoroughly evaluated and supervised according to nine main criteria specified by the HKRMA.

Amway Wins HKPC Outstanding Citizenship Award

Amway Hong Kong was thrilled to earn the November 2010 "Outstanding Corporate Citizenship Award - Outstanding Corporate Volunteer Team," acknowledging the company's effort to serve the local community.

Established in 2006, Amway Hong Kong Volunteer Team. By 2010, 1122 volunteers, selected from the ranks of distributors, privileged customers, workers and staff families, frequently participated in voluntary activities.

The quality mark


Amway Hong Kong is happy to have been awarded the Q-mark Service Scheme and Q-Mark Mystery Shopper Awards certification in honour of the high-quality services given by Amway Hong Kong Merchandising Centers.

Amway Wins Lisa's Third Year Quality Life Award

Amway Hong Kong was happy to receive the "Best Direct Selling Company" award at the 2010 Lisa Quality Life Awards - the company's third year in a row for this award. "Lisa Living" is Hong Kong's most renowned magazine. The fundamental goal behind the Lisa Quality Life Award programme is to highlight high-quality companies for consumer reference, and reward those firms that have made a special effort to continuously enhance quality. The award event was held at Island Shangri-la Hotel on August 20, 2010, with Amway Hong Kong's General Manager, Mrs. Louisa Chan, receiving the award on Amway's behalf.

Amway Kong Honored HKAEE

Amway showed a significant dedication to environmental protection and was recognised at the recent 2009 Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence (HKAEE).

Amway Hong Kong won the Silver Award in the Retailers Scheme. HKAEE is widely recognised as one of Hong Kong's most renowned and renowned environmental award schemes. Its Sectoral Awards encourage businesses and organisations to embrace green management techniques, honouring those enterprises with exemplary performance in their fields.
