Story
Charlie and Elsie originally discovered the Amway business in 1964 when visiting Elsies' mother, Charlie noticed a shoe can glow and tried.
After selling numerous cans by spraying everybodys shoes he came in contact with, he decided to phone the company to order some product cases.
It was then that he realised that he had to be sponsored, the lead ended up with Ted Elias who was completely new to the business, driving 200 miles to present Charlie and Elsie the proposal.
At the time Charlie was a Rome,N.Y. cop earning $72 a week, living in his father's house. When Charlie saw the plan, he was delighted to find a path forward.
Four months later they earned $4,000 in their Amway business, leaving the police department. Charlie and Elsie were Amway's first triple-diamonds and crowns.
Charlie and Elsie are still involved in their business, enjoying an excellent lifestyle. Their son Jon and Dee are direct platinum.
Charlie died on April 26, 2010. R.I.P.
