After moving to California from Sweden, Christina and her then-husband, Thomas Engström, were exposed to the Amway business opportunity while they were living in the United States and operating as regular business owners. Her initial reaction was one of scepticism, but after conducting extensive research into the business, she recognised that it could provide her with the opportunity to have the combination of time and options for herself and her family that she had been wishing for. When the Scandinavian market opened up in 1999, Christina and Thomas made the decision to return to Sweden and focus on growing their company in their native country.. Christina and her husband have four children, and she previously worked as a Sales and Marketing Director for Oracle, a huge international information technology company, while also growing her Amway business side by side. Thomas and Christina later divorced, and Thomas has now gone on to establish a new Platinum business with Christina as his mentor and supporter.

Thomas Engstrom and Christina Wahsltröm have four children and were involved in the business when they founded a traditional företag in Kalifornien, USA.
