Story of Success
It's always been thrilling to be a member of the incredible Callender/Crowe team, and one of our favourite memories of going Diamond is when John Crowe raised our hands - a genuinely beautiful sensation – because we really wanted to represent our team in a huge way.
One of the things we've always emphasised in our company is the importance of relationships. The relationship we had with our sponsors kept us going when things got tough throughout the years. Even though this is a serious business, when life gets in the way, individuals tend to lose track of where they're headed and instead focus on what they're going through.
Despite having a degree in engineering, Christine worked in management at Staples, and I worked in hazardous garbage, particularly asbestos. I spent much of my time in a hole, removing asbestos from buildings, basements, manholes, and other locations. I worked as an environmental trainer for the last five years, teaching others how to remove asbestos.
The power of the upline relationship; the emotional pull that Wayne and Suzanne gave for us - always pushing us to continue on – has allowed us to keep focused on where we're heading, no matter how difficult things became.
By Wayne and Suzanne Callender, Diamond IBOs Climbing those 8 stairs ourselves a few years ago was a dream come true, but it was nothing compared to doing it again to raise the hands of our "kids," Orrett and Christine Channer. It was also a terrific feeling to maintain that connection, with our entire upline present to raise hands in triumph to the “Rocky” theme song, from Bill and Peggy Britt to John and Jennie Belle Crowe, Jack and Magee Spencer, Chris and Judy Cherest, and Suzanne and me.
The Channers' storey will undoubtedly inspire people all across the world, as they merely touch on the surface of their numerous challenges. Orrett's advice on "how to handle life and still be productive" reassured everyone that the victory was well worth the effort. The shouts, smiles, and even tears of the throng who gathered at the stage to applaud the new Britt Diamonds attested to this.
