Think before you act. PETER ISLAND™ water-resistant suncare products contain moisturizers and vitamin E to help protect against free radical damage that may cause premature skin ageing.
Peter Island is a 720 hectare (1,779 acre) private island in the British Virgin Islands (BVI). It is southwest (195 degrees true) of Road Town, Tortola. Pieter Adriensen (nicknamed "The Commander") was the brother of Abraham Adriensen, the early 17th-century Dutch West India Company's patron on the island of Tortola. Pieter Adriensen and Joost van Dyk established a fort and slave pens on Peter Island to allow privateering and the early trafficking in captives from Angola.
In 1978, the Devos family (Amway Corporation) acquired Peter Island after sailing through it previously. They founded the resort and lived on the island to preserve it.
Peter Island is the fifth largest of the 60 islands, quays, and exposed reefs that form the BVI. This company was once held by Amway Corporation, then transferred to the Van Andel family, co-owners of Amway. as
There are hiking and bike trails on which to discover the native flora and fauna on Peter Island. Beaches front the Atlantic Ocean, the Caribbean Sea, and the Sir Francis Drake Channel. Honeymoon and White Bay are for usage by guests only. The island's largest beach is Deadman's Bay, a mile-long crescent beach that is available to boaters all day. The bodies of the marooned pirates were found in Deadman's Bay, floating in the ocean after being unable to make it to Peter Island. ex 6
The lone hotel, the 52-room Peter Island Resort, is on the Conde Nast Traveler's “Gold List” and the Travel + Leisure “T+L 500” for 2007. Food was heavily criticised in the New York Times in 1984. 3 It has been listed by Conde Nast Traveler as one of the "World's Best Hotels."
