Fairchild, Rick & Toni
Rick Fairchild, the youngest of four sons, was born in western North Carolina, where his father worked on tobacco farms and handled heavy machinery for his family's livelihood.
Rick followed in his father's footsteps and worked on the farm until he was 20 years old, when he joined the United States Air Force.
Toni was born and raised in western North Carolina, as was her mother. Her mother was employed as a hosiery mill worker, and her father was employed as a house painter.
Toni enlisted in the air force after high school, hoping to find a better way of life for herself.
Rick and Toni were told that by joining the air force on the "Buddy System," they would be able to be together for the duration of their tour of duty.
However, after they arrived at basic training, the narrative began to shift.
Rick was to be stationed in Arizona, while Toni was to be stationed in Illinois, according to the plan.
Despite the fact that they had been high school sweethearts for almost three years, they decided to get married on a weekend pass while still in basic training, while they were both stationed in Minot, North Dakota.
Rick and Toni were first introduced to a marketing company while living in Minot, North Dakota.
According to Rick, they were both Airmen First Class, which implies they were "very lowly enlisted."
They were housed in a 14' x 50' mobile home and drove a Toyota pickup truck to get around. Rick had just turned 21 years old, and Toni was 19 years old.
They were enrolled in college classes three evenings a week in addition to their full-time training schedule.
Having spent the previous two and a half years growing their business on the side, they were able to leave the air force and devote their attention to their business full-time.
By the time Rick turned 27 years old, they were already Diamonds in the company.
Since becoming business owners, the Fairchilds have experienced a great deal of growth.
A number of times, their Toyota pickup truck has been replaced by luxury vehicles of their choosing.
They'd always wanted to live in Florida, and owing to their successful business, their goal has become a reality for them.
Their son Ricky and his wife Toni enjoy the Florida lifestyle that includes golfing, tennis, swimming at the pool, going to the beach, and just "hanging out."
A custom-built home on a gorgeous golf course in the Orlando, Florida area features a swimming pool, gaming room, basketball/tennis court area, as well as custom furnishings and rugs, and all of the other amenities you could ask for.
"Everything was done according to taste, not according to a budget," Rick continues. They both believe that the best rewards from this industry are those that are hidden from others' eyes.
There are the internal successes of conquering fear, doubt, and poor self-esteem, as well as learning how to relate to and interact with other people; there are the internal victories of learning how to bounce back and try another time.
To mention the spiritual development that has occurred as a result of my interaction with all of the business executives.
"Even if we hadn't made a lot of money, our time spent in this business would have been worthwhile just for the lessons and values we've gained," Rick adds.
In addition, Toni says, "We believe this is the finest business on the planet, therefore we encourage everyone to become involved and stick with it until it works for them."
