A Ph.D. in marriage and family counselling helped Ray Storer prepare for a life of service to others. At the time, he had no idea what kind of outreach he would be involved in.
He is an ordained preacher, the pastor of a church in Ohio, and a former principal of a local elementary school.
Betty has worked in finance and is a talented pianist and organist, among other things. Friends showed them the potential of the business, and before they knew it, they were up and operating on their own.
"At initially, my objectives were quite modest," Betty says. "I wanted to earn $100 so that I could fly to see my family without exceeding our financial means.
" Ray had a strong affinity for the employees in the company and enjoyed being around them." Soon after, the little ambitions were replaced by larger ones, and now there is more time and money available for other pursuits.
Ray is a talented potter and woodworker who takes pleasure in his work. They enjoy sailing and have a cow farm on which they grow animals. Raymond states, "Now we have the ability to act in a tangible way to satisfy the needs of deserving individuals and causes."
