The process of starting our own business has been a positive experience for both of us overall. Linda and I both understood how to play the cello and had the discipline to practise regularly, but we lacked interpersonal and business communication skills and expertise.
We were confident in our ability to dream big, and the Britt system provided us with an opportunity to achieve financial independence!
Because I graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor's degree, I assumed that a master's degree would be my passport to a decent job.
I quickly discovered that I should pursue a doctorate in music, and it was at this point that Linda and I became aware of this marketing programme.
During that time, she was completing her bachelor's degree in Cello Performance at the Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, while I was doing my doctoral studies.
We had no idea how drastically our lives would alter. An flat in which a violinist lived with minimal furnishings was used to demonstrate the marketing strategy.
It didn't matter, though, because we were having a dream! Being a part of meetings and conversing with other people was quite challenging at first, but Linda was always my biggest supporter!
Our family is reaping the benefits of our efforts since that first year, and we couldn't be happier! Having done the work to guarantee the family's financial future, our children, Loren, Alex, and Elizabeth, are grateful to their parents for their efforts.
If you have a big dream, you can conquer whatever obstacle you face. It's worth whatever it takes to get there.
