Sucess Story
Thank you to my parents, Tham Choon Seng and Chu Choy Fong, as well as my wife, Zhao Juan Juan, and my children, Kuan Lam and Kei Lum, as well as my extended family in Malaysia and Taiwan, for their support and encouragement. I am grateful to you all. Thanks to you, I've been able to achieve great success in Amway.
Your dreams and expectations have finally been met, as I have qualified as an Executive Diamond in fewer than five years, as promised. This is something I am quite proud of. And being invited to the Global Executive Diamond Event in Ada, Michigan, followed by a trip to Las Vegas to commemorate Amway's 50th anniversary is simply the icing on the cake.
Background
The passage of time is rapid. It's been five years since I re-started my Amway business from the beginning. Once upon a time, I had a travel agency. Exhaustion overtook me just as I was about to embark on the second decade of my business career. I've made the decision to exit the travel and tour business.
I can still recall vividly the years I spent travelling to China on my own to pitch my tour guide services to the many tour operators in the country. My company evolved slowly from the ground up, starting from nothing. There were periods when I was responsible for entertaining tens of thousands of Chinese tourists each month. That provided me with a strong sense of accomplishment.
Even during the Chinese New Year holiday, I couldn't find any time to relax at home. Price cutting was common as a result of the fierce rivalry. The further pressure came from retail establishments who sought a cut of the revenues as well. Despite the fact that I had a full schedule, my profits declined. That's how I spent the better part of two decades of my life.
In 2003, I became ill and was admitted to the hospital. I did a lot of soul searching and came face to face with the worrisome reality that the future of the tour guide industry was dwindling rapidly. There was no sense of assurance about my financial future. In actuality, I wasn't able to support myself and my family through my chosen work path.
Start Your Own Amway Company
The subject of an article in the newspaper with the heading, ‘Amway a notable leader in direct selling business' caught my eye while I was at a loss for what to do next prompted me to look it up. I was urged to take a serious look into direct selling by a friend. Several distributors came up to me, each with a different plan, each from a different company. I declined all of them. After much deliberation, I decided on Amway.
While some of those direct selling organisations have gone out of business or downsized, Amway has continued to expand from strength to strength throughout the years. This is a powerful testimonial to the Amway Sales & Marketing Plan, as well as to the company's business concept of "people helping people."
Challenges and Reward Programs
My accomplishments have proven my critics wrong. There are those who would point out that I had an advantage due to the fact that I was already an entrepreneur with extensive experience running my own travel firm.
What they failed to recognise was that it had not been a smooth sailing experience for me throughout the process. I had attempted to sign up twice before failing on the third and fourth attempts before finally succeeding on the fifth. This demonstrates that Amway's door is wide open and that anyone can achieve success if they put up the necessary effort. I do not subscribe to the notion that the market has reached saturation point. It's a ruse to get out of something.
If you want to establish an Amway business, it's never too late. After five years of hard work, I have achieved a sense of security in my life that I can pass on to my children and grandchildren. Besides financial independence, I've also gained control over my spirituality and my leisure.
For the past five years, I have been invited to Amway's opulent international seminar, which takes place twice a year. As a result, I have had the opportunity to go to some of the world's most famous destinations, including Tokyo and San Francisco; Venice and Rome; the Mediterranean; Vancouver; Alaska; Switzerland; Hokkaido and Osaka; and Vancouver and Vancouver. My next stop will be Ada, Michigan, followed by a visit to Las Vegas.
To be successful in Amway, one of the most crucial things to do is to believe in oneself. Only then will you be able to achieve teamwork, which will allow you to further build your firm. You must therefore synchronise your thinking, your mindset, and your attitude in order to be successful. Follow the correct leaders, conduct yourself appropriately, and develop the suitable habits. If you keep yourself in peak physical and mental shape, and if you maintain your momentum, success is almost certainly within grasp!

I'd want to use this occasion to offer my appreciation to all of the senior officials at Amway China and Hong Kong for their wisdom and assistance over the years.

The entire world is currently engulfed in a serious financial crisis. Despite the pessimism, Amway continues to grow and expand its operations. Any discerning individual would already be aware of which company he or she can rely on to help them overcome this challenge and go on. Amway is no more only an option; rather, it has evolved into a need.

Our Experience in the Amway Business
I had attempted to grow my Amway business in 1985, 1994, 1998, and 2001, but had met with little success each time. It was in September 2003 that I made the decision to relaunch my Amway business for the fifth time. I qualified as a Silver Producer in the first month, a Platinum Producer in the sixth month, an Emerald Producer in the eleventh month, and a Diamond Producer in the twenty-third month. It all transpired in a little more than a two-year span.
This is what I've learnt over my Amway career, which began in 1985:
• Amway has been in business for 30 years and has significant market potential. Personally, I believe that the company's best days are still to come.
• There is no such thing as a market that has reached saturation.
• You do not have to have been in Amway for ten years to qualify as a Diamond.
• Professionals and business owners recognised the potential of the company and began their own enterprises.
• You can still qualify as a Diamond even if you have made four or more unsuccessful attempts to do so.
For as long as you are willing to give yourself a second opportunity, Amway will always be there to welcome you into their family.

Within the Amway industry, Alvin Tham Wai Kim is a well-known and respected individual. Amway is a corporation that engages in multi-level marketing and sells a variety of products, some of which include dietary supplements, personal care items, and cleaning supplies for the home.
Tham Wai Kim has been an Amway distributor for a very long time and has enjoyed a great deal of professional success as a result of his involvement with the company. His remarkable leadership abilities and his capacity to motivate and inspire his teammates have earned him a well-deserved reputation.
The beginning of Tham Wai Kim's experience with Amway can be traced back to 1994, when he became a distributor for the company. Within a short period of time, he worked his way up to the position of Diamond Direct Distributor, which is one of Amway's most prestigious levels of achievement in the business. In 2003, he was awarded the position of Executive Diamond, which is a unique and coveted rank within Amway that is only reached by the top 1% of distributors in the company. Only he was able to earn this status.
Throughout the entirety of his professional life, Tham Wai Kim has been an unrelenting supporter of the Amway brand and all of its offerings. He has been a part of many different training sessions and seminars, which he has led, to assist other distributors in achieving success in their own businesses.
In addition to this, he is a highly sought-after speaker who has been asked to give presentations at events located all over the world.
The accomplishments of Tham Wai Kim have not gone unnoticed by anyone. He has been honored with a plethora of honors and distinctions for his achievements, including recognition from Amway as one of the company's most successful distributors. In 2015, he was given the extraordinary honor of being admitted into the Amway Hall of Fame, which is a recognition given solely to the Amway distributors who have been the most successful and influential throughout the company's history.
Tham Wai Kim is also an active philanthropist, and during the course of his career, he has provided significant support to a variety of charity causes and organizations all around the world. He has used his success with Amway to assist those who are struggling financially and is a firm believer in the concept of giving back to one's community.
Alvin Tham Wai Kim is a true leader in the Amway industry, and his success is a testimonial to the hard work, devotion, and passion he has for helping others reach their goals. In general, Alvin Tham Wai Kim is one of the most successful people in the Amway business. Amway distributors will continue to be inspired and motivated by his legacy for many years to come.
