Funk, Jake & Helene
Their two children have no recollection of a time when they did not have both parents working full-time.
"Jake and Helene Funk grew up on farms in Southern Manitoba, where they developed their work ethic.
Jake chose to become an accountant because he "dreaded meeting people," as he puts it.
Helene worked in medical records, and the two of them were music students.
"I had a lot of business interests," Jake explains "However, the money was insufficient to cover our expenses.
This firm offered us fresh hope, hope that we would be able to pay our bills on time and a dream that we would one day be free of the constraints of a boss."
They put their whole heart and soul into their new enterprise, and the results far beyond their expectations; their two children can't recall a time when they didn't have both parents working full-time.
Located near the Rocky Mountains, the Funks' Victorian-style home offers a spectacular view of the ski slopes that they adore.
The Funks have three children. They devote their time and energy to issues in which they believe.
Jake travelled to Moscow to attend the ceremonies marking the publication of the Bible in Russian.
