Smart, Bill & Briony
Bill and Briony Smart began their Amway careers in February 1985. They achieved Diamond status in April 1994, after nine years of hard work.
Diamond Peter Light is the route that they take to go to the top of the mountain.
In his Australian organisation, he has a total of 5 Diamonds to his credit. They reside in South Australia and are a member of the McKenna Landing System.
After joining Amway in 1987, Bill and Briony Smart quickly built a massive organisation throughout Australia.
They laid the groundwork for many other Platinums, Emeralds, and Diamonds to follow them in their footsteps.
These young people were hopeful that they could alter the course of their lives, but they were completely unaware that they brought with them the characteristics that are highly sought after by employers in this industry: a clearly defined dream, a strong work ethic, and a teachable spirit.
Given that life is not a "dress rehearsal," they made the most of the opportunity presented to them to start their family. They were not disappointed.
Bill describes the situation as follows:
"What we saw initially was that even with no prior business experience, there was a chance to make a significant amount of money, and not just a little bit."
If we make enough money, we might be able to purchase the farm.”
After graduating from Roseworthy College with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Science, Bill went on to complete and excel in a Management Course at the Irish National Stud.
At the time, he and his wife, Briony, were running the Smart Family dairy farm at Oakbank in the Adelaide Hills, and Briony was already juggling two small children.
Silvers in 1987, Platinum in 1988, and Emerald in 1989 put them on a path that allowed them to reclaim their time, sell their dairy cows, and pursue Bill's dream of becoming a racehorse trainer.
Diamond in 1993 meant that they would be able to purchase the family farm, build their ideal home, and extend their brood from three to five children within a few years.
Their lives were no longer dictated by chance, but by their own decisions.
With the freedom from time and money limitations, Bill and Briony are now able to focus on their other interests.
“Success in our business has provided us with options, where no one else is telling us what to do and we are able to make the best decisions possible in all facets of our lives,” Bill reflects on his situation.
Watching their income rise from well below the average wage to among the top 5 percent of earners in the country has occurred as a result of an incredible example of consistently doing the right things, being open to mentorship, and creating their own reality by expanding their dreams and assisting others in expanding their dreams.
"One of the reasons for our success was the assistance we received from our mentors," Bill explains.
As a result, when I lacked confidence, they communicated their belief in my capacity to create this firm.
”Bill believes that this business is similar to other businesses in that it is driven by leadership.
We have the potential to become one of Australia's most admired business concepts if we have the appropriate people on our team.
A large number of people today have the option to take control of their financial future.”
