Team in Focus, sometimes known as TIF, was once a group of Diamonds that included Bo Short, Andy Andrews, and other members.
TIF introduced an MLM plan to distribute "tool earnings" in April 2002, prompting a conflict with Quixtar, which resulted in the termination of the Quixtar IBOships of Andy and Polly Andrews, Mike and Lynn Jakubik, and John and Pat Terhune in April 2002. According to reports, Gerry and Sharon Betterman, Gayle Collinsworth, and Ron and Melanie Rummel were also fired, and the remaining 15 Diamonds resigned in protest. Cal and Jackie Thurlby made the decision to stay with Quixtar. Bo and Sandy Short were members of the initial Team In Focus group, however they resigned from both TIF and their Quixtar distributorship in October 2001, citing personal reasons.
Bo Short went on to start a competitor multi-level marketing company called Passport, which ultimately combined with another MLM, Oasis Life Sciences, to form Univera Life Sciences. Bo is also a motivational speaker for several organisations. Bo featured in a Dateline NBC broadcast in which he was critical of Quixtar's actions.
Andy Andrews, a former Quixtar comic, went on to have an extremely successful writing, speaking, and television appearance career after leaving the company.
According to reports, several additional former TIF diamonds are now working for Univera Life Sciences. Several others continued their work with a Team In Focus "Lifestyle Development Community," which evolved into Vitalife Networks later on.
