I Can Earn More Than My Sponsor?

 When Amway fans defend their business, one of the absurd justifications they use is that it can't possibly be a pyramid scheme or that it must be legal because you have the ability to earn more than your sponsor. Despite the fact that many downlines earn more than their sponsors, this is likely due to the fact that approximately half of all IBOs quit in a year or less. When you factor in the business expenses for those who are on tools, the reality of experiencing business losses also causes people to leave the business. It is not difficult to earn more money than others who choose to give up their jobs. The actual test of this assertion would be for a fresh entrepreneur to start a business and outearn someone like Bill Britt within two to five years of doing so. It will never happen since the fortunes of their downline, even at the diamond level, are directly influenced by their upline's fortunes. It is for this reason that you have seen diamonds depart or separate from their upline in order to form their own training organisations. They are unable to effect change from the bottom up without the approval of their superiors, resulting in their separation from their "mentors" or leaders. There have even been instances where lawsuits have been filed because of the tool's income. Is it true that people sue their mentors? Isn't it true that diamonds educate you that suing others is wrong? That you are not entitled to anything for nothing?

You will almost certainly outperform your sponsor. All that is required is for your sponsor to resign. However, if your sponsor decides to leave, it is possible that you will not outearn your sponsor. Take, for example, the example I provided above. Taking risks does not imply that you are out earning someone. Keep in mind that everyone in the Amway organisation is on an equal footing. You are all unpaid commissioned Amway salesmen who are subject to the rules and conditions of Amway. Your downline does not belong to you. As an independent business owner, you don't truly own much of anything.
