Success Story
Vincent was raised by parents who owned and operated their own direct selling company and insurance network, and he developed a strong sense of independence as well as solid commercial acumen.
While studying in the United States, he started his first business enterprise. However, it was a failure, and he ended up in debt as a result.
Vincent's business buddy invited him to an Amway meeting when he was in his second year of university.
With people from all walks of life sharing their tales of how they overcame obstacles and achieved success in Amway, Vincent realised that his success in Amway would help inspire others to live better lives as a result of his efforts.
Following graduation, Vincent relocated to Malaysia and began operating his Amway business full-time.
It was conquering his lack of self-confidence that was his first major obstacle to overcome. It was a huge assignment that needed incredible guts on Vincent's part, given that he was an introvert, but he was able to complete it because to the leadership training he received from his upline. Vincent's parents were likewise staunch opponents, but Vincent's perseverance and zeal finally convinced his siblings to join him. Attending a conference hosted by upline Crown Ambassador Direct Distributor Peter Lee also persuaded his parents to join him in the endeavour.
Rina's initial goal after returning from Australia with a Marketing degree was to locate a marketing position that would provide a good income and travel chances. Rina agreed to participate after learning that Vincent's company was active in international marketing. Her parents, who were enthusiastic about the idea, also signed up. Rina learnt to be disciplined and organised, and she refined her interpersonal skills by studying books and learning from her uplines. Rina was once unable to relate to individuals of diverse ages and backgrounds, but she has since become an inspiration to those who want to pursue a career in this field.
Their company prospered as a result of their ability to complement one another's abilities. While Rina's exuberant disposition makes her a natural socializer, Vincent's calm determination makes him a better fit for strategic business planning. The couple has been full-time Distributors for seven years, full-time husband and wife to each other, and full-time parents to their daughters, Grace (six years) and Rebekah (four years) (2). They have also travelled extensively throughout Asia, including Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Alaska, Canada, the United States, Japan, Australia, Venice, and Rome, among other places.
“We have set a target of developing 12 new Diamonds by the end of March 2012. To be successful in our industry, we must have a clearly defined major objective that is larger than our own individual interests. Living is about loving, and success is measured by the number of people whose lives we have made better as a result of our efforts. It makes the world a better place when we help others, and it brings us greater joy and a deeper sense of personal fulfilment.
You must believe in what you are doing in order to qualify as a Diamond, and you must be willing to pay the price for your convictions. Remember to be grateful and open to learning from your mentors and superiors.
