"Amway" The Game?

 My sponsor used to say to the group that many of us were "playing" Amway. Many people can listen to a tape or CD every day, read a success book for 15-30 minutes every day, attend all of the functions, utilise and/or sell 100 PV or more each month, yet never make progress in their business. In essence, he was arguing that until you are demonstrating the strategy and sponsoring downline, you are simply playing Amway. While I agree, I believe that the majority of IBOs merely "play" Amway. It's not easy to persuade others to see the idea because of reputation and other factors. As a result, many IBOs wind up playing the Amway game.

They can complete most of the CORE stages on a daily basis, such as listening to standing orders or cds. They are able to read every day and attend all of the events. They are also permitted to utilise and sell Amway products. However, many persons are unable to convince anyone to see the plan, let alone sponsor others, due to previous IBO behaviour. Everyone seems to know someone who was duped or lied to into attending an Amway meeting (at least in the United States and Canada). Amway has a nasty reputation as a result of this, and just the mention of the term Amway can send individuals scurrying. I was once duped into attending a meeting, and as an IBO, I've seen people get up, cuss, and leave because they were duped or lied to into attending a meeting using the curiosity method.

I don't think IBOs are inherently dishonest or deceptive. I feel that the most of them are motivated, ambitious, and hardworking, as evidenced by the fact that they signed up in the first place. They are, nevertheless, taught to replicate or duplicate their uplines. Some of the tenured executives, I feel, are the ones that teach harmful business methods that are copied and spread like an infectious disease. I believe Amway's reputation in North America suffered as a result of this. Amway appears to be attempting to rehabilitate its reputation, while IBOs continue to do strange things.

You can see the signs of weakness and chinks in the armour of the previously untouchable and "divine" diamonds when you stop and take a deep breath. Diamonds are suing other diamonds as well as Amway. Diamonds are losing their homes due to foreclosure (so much for paying cash). A triple diamond filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy, and hoards of diamonds left their LOS, along with their "amazing" instructors and lifelong friends, to start their own LOS. What is causing this? It is, I suppose, due to greed. Why would you quit a "mentor" and "lifelong buddy" to establish your own LOS, if not to start your own LOS? It's all about the cash flow.

Unfortunately, most IBOs come and go, losing money and "playing Amway" in the process. It saddens me that this has gone on for so long, and it appears that my former LOS, WWDB, was the worst of the bunch, with no apparent improvement in the last 15 years or so, in my opinion.

You can "play Amway" all you want, but you're unlikely to make enough net profit to buy a McDonald's value lunch. Of course, you are free to disprove my claims.

It is vital to remember that Amway is not a game but rather a true business opportunity that gives individuals the option to become independent business owners (IBOs) and establish their own businesses while selling a variety of high-quality products. This opportunity enables individuals the possibility to become financially independent. Building a successful Amway business does entail some degree of strategy and healthy rivalry, but contrary to popular belief, it is not a game in the conventional meaning of the word.


Having said that, there are unquestionably elements of the Amway business model that have the potential to be seen as having characteristics of a game. For instance, Independent Business Owners (IBOs) are urged to plan out their futures and devise strategies to bring those plans to fruition, just as participants in a game could have objectives that they are attempting to achieve. IBOs are also incentivized to recruit new persons to join their team, which may be considered as a means of "leveling up" in the game. This is because IBOs receive a commission for each new member who joins their team.


Building an Amway business, on the other hand, is a serious venture that calls for a lot of hard work, dedication, and a commitment for the long term. This fact should be kept in mind at all times. IBOs are investing their time, money, and energy into developing a genuine business that has the potential to provide them with financial freedom and long-term success. While there may be some similarities to a game, the stakes are significantly higher due to the fact that IBOs are investing their time.


In order for Independent company Owners (IBOs) to be successful in the Amway company, they need to approach it with a strategic attitude. This includes establishing goals, formulating a plan of action, and working regularly to increase their client base and attract new team members. This calls for a solid work ethic, a commitment to learn and improve, and the ability to adapt to shifting market conditions and the evolving requirements of customers.


Although there are likely to be some elements of rivalry involved in the process of creating an Amway business, it is essential to keep in mind that success in this business is not accomplished at the expense of other people. Instead, it is accomplished via cooperation, the work of a team, and a willingness to assist others in the accomplishment of their objectives. Amway Independent Business Owners have the ability to establish a community of support and collaboration that contributes to the success of all members by cultivating meaningful connections with Amway customers and with other IBOs and by working together toward the accomplishment of common goals.


In conclusion, despite the fact that there are unquestionably components of the Amway business model that have the potential to be interpreted as resembling a game, it is essential to keep in mind that this is a genuine business opportunity that demands a significant and ongoing commitment on your part. Individuals have the potential to attain long-term success and financial freedom by participating in the Amway business opportunity. This may be accomplished by approaching the business with a strategic mentality, working diligently, and creating great relationships with customers and other IBOs.
