It's Not Amway?,

When I read a recent interaction between an IBO and someone who was questioning the techniques of some upline, I couldn't help but chuckle. IBO defended Amway by claiming that these unethical acts are the consequence of "a small number of individuals" rather than Amway itself. I suppose you could make that argument based on the letter of the law, and I'm rather certain that Amway's legal staff set it up that way on purpose. IBOs are self-employed, and as a result, Amway is not liable for their decisions. Despite this, the reality is that these individuals are Amway business owners.

Essentially, while an IBO may be independent, they still represent Amway because they serve as the point of contact between Amway and new customers, provided they have any existing customers to begin with. It also becomes murky when an IBO leader engages in unethical behaviour because it has the potential to touch tens of thousands of individuals. Take, for instance, my previous group. WWDB. In spite of the fact that they taught all kinds of fabricated information, I simply accepted it because I "believed" that the leaders had my best interests at heart because I was committed to the system. It turns out that they were undoubtedly looking out for their own interests, given that I was required to pay for any appearances these dedicated leaders made. While Amway Independent Business Owners (IBOs) claim that changes are taking place, there is ample data and testimony to demonstrate that nothing significant has changed in all of these years.

Examples include reading the blog of a WWDB IBO and hearing him mention things that I had already heard many years before. It is estimated that the divorce rate among Amwayers was 2 percent, compared to 60 percent for the general population worldwide. He also mentions being out of debt, when in truth, he would be in a better financial position were it not for the expenses related with his Amway business. Apparently, his dedicated leaders were able to persuade him that selling his home and withdrawing money from his 401K was a smart decision. Do you think this was genuine guidance or just another way for this IBO's financial situation to be secured so that he could continue to attend functions?

Gred Duncan, it appears, is the instructor for this group. The group strongly disputes that Greg Duncan was involved in financial difficulties. It is possible that the public records were fabricated in some way. According to the IBO remarks, Mr. Duncan and/or other WWDB leaders are still instructing the group on how to purchase properties in cash and other little gifts. It appears to be disingenuous coming from someone who had interest-only loans on properties that were foreclosed on. In no way did his struggles make me happy, but it did serve to bring to light whatever inaccuracies he may have been telling regarding his finances and income in the first place.

Consequently, while IBOs are keen to distance themselves from the problems that exist, they are eager to take credit for Amway's sales, as well as the company's numerous environmentally friendly awards and partner stores. The same may be said on the other side of the coin as well. Is this the month in which Amway made a billion dollars in sales? This is fantastic for Amway, but you are not Amway. Is it true that Amway has won an award? You're a good fit for Amway, but you're not Amway. Amway is the only company that has the ability to put a stop to downline abuse, but they are content to do nothing. There may be a few symbolic activities made, but nothing significant occurs. Returning to the Amway owner's admission that the tools constitute a pyramid, consider the following: When Amway attempted to take action, sales plummeted, and the actions were suspended. Despite the fact that Amwayers prefer to mention accreditation, it has no real meaning. Parts of their CDs are edited out, and portions of lectures are completely ignored by the groups.

The explanation is that Independent Business Owners (IBOs) are not affiliated with Amway. But whose reputation is tarnished as a result of these IBOs? The question is, why are these IBO leaders still in power after decades of oppression? Where can I get evidence that any action has been taken? Nothing can be heard save the sound of crickets chirping.....
