The "Good" Amway?

I've lately been involved in a discussion on another site on the virtues (or lack thereof) of the Amway business. It goes without saying that this subject attracts IBOFB to the forum like flies to a fresh mound of food. So, as far as I can tell, the IBOFB believes that downline abuse and the tools fraud are minor issues, and that the majority of Amway is truly an uptopia in which IBOs succeed and upline actually live in affluence and only work because they genuinely care about their downlines. The fact that IBOFB alias Icerat aka Insider is completely deluded or fully jaded in favour of Amway leads me to believe the latter.

There are numerous tool firms that provide tools to Amway Independent Business Owners (IBOs). They are not affiliated with Amway, and they are all (as far as I am aware) for-profit businesses that sell cds, seminars, and other materials that are ostensibly geared to assist IBOs in their Amway endeavours. Because upline leaders have significant power, the vast majority of these same leaders employ that power to persuade (coerce?) their loyal downline to acquire tools and other products. It is easy to determine, and there is evidence to support the claim, that some of these same leaders derive the majority of their revenue from the selling of tools rather than from Amway. In my perspective, it is a classic bait and switch fraud. Demonstrate your jet-setting lifestyle. Inform the audience that anything they desire can be had by participating in the Amway business, and then sell them infallible instruments to assist them in achieving their goals. Although there is no neutral evidence that the tools perform, the uplines are having a good time as they drive around in their expensive automobiles, regardless of whether the tools are effective.

It is possible that there are pockets of groups where certain leaders are more ethical than others, but it is clear that they are extremely rare and that the majority of uplines teach the same things. Dedication to the Amway products, as well as dedication to the Amway organisation. However, while both of these techniques are good to uplines who profit from tools, they are frequently the reason why business-building IBOs end up with a negative net profit. Sometimes an IBO becomes incredibly dedicated to their upline and the tools, and as a result, these IBOs suffer significant losses, sometimes in the tens of thousands of dollars, as a result. And it was their own fault for selling out and following the advice of their upper management team. IBOFB aka Icerat believes that the vast majority of Amway is the good Amway, in which everyone makes money and is pleased with their lives. Unfortunately, that "good" Amway does not appear to exist anymore.

Is there anyone who knows about this "excellent" Amway? Where can I find a group of IBOs who are all in it for the money? Are there any groups where uplines don't market and profit from tools and products. Can somebody tell me whether there is a group of people who don't quit and if they do, continue to buy Amway items on a constant basis? Is it possible that we're chasing the end of a rainbow here?
