Founded in 1966 by Dan and Bunny Williams, their company was built on the basic idea of assisting others in achieving their own goals.
In conjunction with hard labour, this plan established a foundation for rapid growth from the start. Within three months, they had turned a profit on their enterprise. The Williamses were able to reach Diamond in two years, Triple Diamond in five years, and Crown in only thirteen years. In 1979, they were awarded the highest honour available at the time, the title of Crown Ambassador.
Dan is a second-generation Independent Business Owner who grew up in a family of entrepreneurs. According to him, "my father started into the firm nine months before we did and went Direct shortly after we became involved." "My sister Jan and her husband Bill, who sat on the Board of Directors, sponsored both of us to attend. With two Platinums under his sponsorship in three years, Dad will be able to retire in Florida at the age of 65. He left us all with a legacy of faith in God, hard labour, maintaining a sense of balance in our lives, and a wicked sense of humour."
Dan's business skills gained while working as an executive for a multinational organisation led him to become involved with the Distributors Association for many years (IBOAI). He participated on a number of committees and was President of the organisation in 1982-83 and again in 1986-1987. Dan, who is best known for his role in the establishment of the depth bonus, appreciates the independence and mutual respect that exists between the Independent Business Owners Association International and Quixtar Inc.
Bunny Williams died on August 13, 2006, at the age of 76. Dan Williams, a resident of Austin, Texas, passed away on August 9, 2012.
