In my early years, I was raised in a middle-class family with an agricultural background. I wanted to establish my own business since I was dissatisfied with the lifestyle I was living at the time. Before I realised the necessity of education for a happy life, I abandoned my studies at an early level and began pursuing tiny businesses with limited resources. I eventually returned to school. I returned to school after a three-year hiatus and completed my Master's Degree in Marketing and Sales Management, followed by a postgraduate certificate in Marketing and Sales Management. I worked for several national and multinational corporations for three to four years before realising that I would never be able to realise my ambitions of travelling the globe, living in luxury, and providing my children with the greatest education possible with the position I was in. As a result, I attempted some traditional enterprises and failed mostly due to two factors: first, a lack of sufficient funding, and second, a lack of experience in the face of fierce competition.
I am grateful to Amway Business for providing me with an opportunity that required a minimal initial commitment, as well as to my entire team for the assistance that I received from them.
They have helped me and my family in the past and we will always be grateful to them. Sudha, my wife, is a down-to-earth woman. I had no idea that she, too, possessed the ability to be an entrepreneur of this calibre. If I had not joined Amway, I would not have gotten to know my wife as well as I did. It was because of her unwavering support and never-ending encouragement that I was able to earn Diamond status. Amway was offered to me in April 1998, but it took me three months to decide to become a member, which is possibly one of my greatest regrets in life. I often wonder why it took me three months to do this task. The solution is fairly straightforward. I chose not to participate not because I did not grasp the potential, but rather because it was difficult for me to believe that someone like me could achieve Diamond status. It is simple to be a diamond, but it is more difficult to believe in one. We must defeat ourselves in a battle of wills. Since childhood, we have been conditioned to think like mediocre people. It wasn't until later that someone reminded us that we are God's One and Only Creation, and that we possess all of the qualities and abilities necessary to live a Great Life. Our children, Bharat and Chandini, have contributed to the success of our company, and I am grateful to them for their contributions. I'm also grateful to my parents, who stood with us and believed in our ability even through our most difficult days, and who have encouraged and supported us throughout our trip so far.
