Attalah, Samir & Theresa Amway

Samir and Theresa Attalah are Diamonds who have their headquarters in Redmond, Washington. Samir is an Egyptian immigrant who arrived in the United States without knowing how to speak English when he began working in the business. Samir earned his Emerald certification in 1993. After that, he married Theresa, and the two of them earned their Diamond certification in 1997.

Samir and Theresa's Amway Experience

Samir arrived in the United States with only $40 in his pocket. He worked as a janitor in order to fund his education at Bible college. Later, he worked as a paper route driver while pursuing a Master's degree in computer science at Seattle Pacific University.

When Samir first walked into the business, he didn't realise the potential. Samir did little more than utilise products and attend a few meetings for over two years straight. Samir was promoted to Silver after seven months with the help of Brad and Julie Duncan's friendship and coaching, and he was promoted to Ruby in three months after making the commitment to take the business seriously.

Samir and Theresa met as IBOs when Samir was a Ruby, and they became fast friends. As Samir progressed through the Emerald, they became more acquainted. Theresa had already seen the plan before joining the company, but it wasn't until she saw it again that she realised how much better her life could be if she followed it. She was pursuing an MBA while working as a corporate sales representative, but she desired something more than what the corporate world could provide.

Samir and Theresa worked together to establish a diamond business. Angelique and Matthew are their three children. Michael is the eldest of the three. Neither of their children has ever witnessed their parents working for someone else. Instead, their children have witnessed them bless others by assisting them in the growth of their respective enterprises.

Disputes & Controversy

Samir Attalah was sued in 1998 on the grounds that his downline's complaints against him led to defamatory remarks being made by their upline to the downline, and that Attalah used his influence to pressure the downline into investing in other schemes, which was a breach of Amway standards.  According to reports, the case was resolved without going to court.
