Arunasalam and Thilaka were known by their friends and relatives as Aruna and Thilaka.

Aruna and Thilaka are from the beautiful island of Sri Lanka, which is located in the Indian Ocean just south of India and is known as a pearl in the Indian Ocean. Aruna left his job as a railway construction inspector, where he had worked for 15 years, in 1986 to work in the Sultanate of Oman, where he had visions of a better and safer life.

Aspiring to realise the conventional ambition of a decent profession, Aruna studied construction engineering at George Brown College in Toronto, where she graduated with honours in the subject.
The years of education and expertise he had gained in his area did not appear to have made any difference to the circumstances in their new home, despite his dedication and hard work to achieve success.
They had reached the nadir of their desperation when they called.
When they first came across the business plan in 1992, Aruna was working as a gas station attendant and Thilaka was enrolled in high school courses to prepare for the Canadian job market.
They simply believed in it and got to work with a lot of enthusiasm for it.
Aruna had a vision of associating with successful people from the beginning of her career. A large number of people today aspire to be associated with this couple.
"Everyone aspires to achieve financial independence," Thilaka says with a smile.
"We adore the freedom that comes with having the money and the time to enjoy life," they say.
In only a few years, Aruna and Thilaka, as well as their four sons, including their youngest, Abiraj, have been able to enjoy this lifestyle thanks to their dedication to growing their business.
"Some people come into our lives and leave just as quickly," Aruna concludes. Some of them stay for a long time and leave their imprints on our hearts.
