Success Story
wishing to be considered superior to the norm
Ariel and Ambec Driz had been your typical happily married young couple, with both of them having a respectable career. In the field of Semi-Conductors, Ariel was employed, whilst Ambec was employed as a Human Resources professional. The pair, on the other hand, has always had huge ambitions.
"We want a better life for our immediate and extended families, an opportunity to serve the Lord, a rewarding career, and an environment in which we could grow and make a difference in the lives of others," Ariel explained. "We never wanted to be considered typical," he continued.
It was ten years ago that the pair was first introduced to the concept of launching a small business on their own terms. Ariel was asked to a friend's house to participate in a "business meeting," and he even showed up late for the event. Nonetheless, he was captivated by the speaker's passion and excitement as she facilitated the presentation, which piqued his curiosity.
Once he has a chance to see the Amway Sales and Marketing Plan for the first time, Ariel can't contain his excitement and immediately schedules a follow-up appointment with the speaker, whom he characterises as "sharp, professional, and really persuasive." It was Olive Fernandez, who was herself an Amway Diamond distributor, who proved to be the couple's mentor when it came to starting and running their own company.
The thought of creating their own business was one that the couple was really excited about. The excitement of being introduced to the potential and the promise of the firm was powerful for both people, despite the fact that neither had any previous business experience.
In the face of adversity,
Exactly one month later, the pair began working on expanding their professional networks. It was difficult at first because they were confronted with the difficulties of running a business. To be more specific, the couple had difficulty locating qualified individuals with whom to conduct business. However, it is a comment made by a mentor that encourages them to continue: "To attract the right people, you must first establish yourself as the right person. As if you were staring in the mirror, you will be able to identify him/her immediately ".....
As they prepared to find the proper people with whom to share their hopes and dreams in this new business, it served as a valuable learning experience for them. It was critical to deal with people and present the plans to them. As a result, the couple learnt to focus on the benefits while ignoring the negatives, and they placed their faith in God to see their endeavour through to completion.
Slowly yet steadily gaining momentum
On their third year, the pair felt confident that they knew enough about the firm to keep it running smoothly. True to their word, they have witnessed a significant improvement in their business practically every month. The couple's secret is to stay focused on short-term objectives while also educating others on the importance of the larger picture as a whole.
The Driz's finally achieved Silver status in September 1999, after a long and arduous journey. After a year, the pair is promoted to the Platinum level, and then shortly thereafter to the Ruby level. In April 2002, the pair was awarded the Emerald status by the United Nations.
"We went inch by inch, one step at a time, until we reached our destination. We achieved our objectives, and our prayers were answered. It was exhausting work, but we were more concerned with the outcome than with the effort "Ariel expressed himself.
During one of the couple's business visits, the couple's desire to achieve Diamond rank grew more solid. That sparked the urge to join the Diamonds after they received a question from a Diamond status holder from Malaysia about whether or not they were now in Diamond qualifications. As a matter of fact, Ariel has recorded himself announcing to his colleagues that they will achieve Diamond rank.
Accordingly, in 2006, Ariel and Ambec Driz were officially awarded as Amway's new Diamond IBOs in the Philippines.
