They founded the company in 1993, with funding provided by Kristiawan's parents when they were studying at the University of Jogjakarta in Central Java. They were mentored by Double Diamonds Paul & Linda Agus, who helped them go from Emerald to Diamond in 1994, Founders Diamond in 2004 and Executive Diamond in 2007. They have a number of Emeralds, one EDC, and six Diamonds within their membership. In 1996, they tied the knot and are now the parents of three children, Bunga, Intan, and Bintang. They have never worked and have been full-time IBOs since 1995, when Devi completed her dental education at the University of California, Los Angeles. Kristiawan dropped out of university before completing his degree.
