Threats, insults, and personal assaults on me have been levelled at me on a regular basis over the years that I've been blogging. One site visitor, from Scarborough, Canada, has continued to visit this site despite the fact that he has posted threats on this blog on more than one occasion. In their latest attack on me, IBOfightback, alias David Steadson, and his creepy sidekick Bridgett Baron continue to accuse me of operating all of the anti-Amway blogs on the internet behind fictitious personas. They know they're incorrect, but they're not willing to accept it. No evidence has ever been presented by them to support this claim, just as no independent business owner (IBO) has ever presented evidence to support the claim that they make a net profit in Amway after accounting for company expenditures.
Of course, I am aware that some independent business owners (IBOs) make money. Some of them make a substantial amount of money. When IBOs participate in the "system," which comprises of standing orders, functions, voicemail, books, and other motivating and training materials, it is my conviction that the vast majority of IBOs do not operate with a profit margin. This is supported by simple mathematics. However, for some reason, many rank and file IBOs continue to assert that they are earning a good income from their Amway business without providing any evidence to support their claims of success. The majority of business owners are unable to even articulate the parameters of their operation anecdotally. When an IBO tells me about the substantial tax refund they earned as a result of their involvement in the Amway business, I get a thrill out of it. (Even if you did make money, a large refund is highly unlikely. More than probable, your losses resulted in a greater number of deductions against the income tax withheld from your job earnings).
But here's a genuine dilemma for IBOs and Amway defenders: how do you silence a critic? The answer is straightforward: transparency. Let's try if someone from a higher position can open their books. I'm not talking about all of their personal information or tax information; I'm only talking about their Amway income and expenses, nothing else. Nobody who has ever visited the site has ever been able to demonstrate that they genuinely have clients and a downline, which would result in a net profit after all of the expenses for the tools have been deducted. Instead, they point to copies of someone's diamond bonus or some other illogical means of demonstrating "evidence" that the Amway business is profitable for them to support their claims. Some people have even made claims about lifelong residual and willable income, but no one has been able to identify any of the people who have walked away from Amway and are still collecting big incomes from the company. IBOfightback, aka David Steadson, claims that over the years, hundreds of thousands of people have earned a full-time wage or more from his system. When this question was put to the Amway corporation, a representative responded by saying that the company was unable to substantiate the assertion.
Many of Amway's opponents are merely sharing their personal experiences and point of view on the company. Bad business practises were taught and then implemented by downline as a result of unethical leaders, such as misrepresenting people about the Amway opportunity, which was a result of unethical leaders. Alternatively, it could be about inflating income claims in order to make IBOs appear more successful than they actually are. This is due to the fact that the majority of IBOs are unsuccessful. This is supported by the business plan. When using 6-4-2 or whatever form your group uses, there is always a layer of majority IBOs who earn little money, resulting in a net loss once expenses are taken into consideration. The IBOs defend their actions by stating that they would someday become wealthy. There is no empirical evidence to support the notion that a diamond is particularly affluent. The pictures of houses and automobiles do not persuade me.
What is the best way to silence a critic? Transparency.
