Here's a comment posted by Cali on Amthrax's website, which you should read: The Week's Most Interesting Remark Ohio Leadership Convention is described by Witty in his own words.
I can relate to this, only that I did not realise I had been tricked until after I had left. I was so naive that I truly believed it was my fault that I had failed to make any money. I am grateful that I came across your website. Knowing the whole scope of the truth years ago could have made a significant difference in my life, however it would have hurt even more because I was feeling "close" to individuals at the time. I was under the impression that they were truly concerned. This is the actual con, in my opinion. As a result of reading these postings, I've gained a better understanding of how my guilt over not being good enough for the team has manifested itself in other areas of my life. As an example, I've felt guilty about not sharing the same beliefs or having the same lifestyle ambitions as my parents, or about immediately believing I don't have what it takes to be a "leader" in any job I've held afterwards. I thought I had moved on, but my vision isn't as clear as I would have liked it to be at this point. What a long and drawn-out process this has been. Thank you to everyone who contributed.
This could have been written by my spouse, if he had wanted to. Perhaps it was! No. I believe this was written by someone who was formerly associated with Monavie. Fortunately, that was one MLM scam on which Ambot was not prospected and did not become a member.
My Ambot was only concerned with pleasing his upline. I'll never understand why he would prioritise satisfying others over and above pleasing me in the first place. It is my intention to write this blog and cuss them out in order to exact retribution upon those upline fuckers. Because no names have been stated, the fact is that I am cursing out every IBO upline in the world.
What actions did Ambot take to please his upline? The majority of this was accomplished through the purchase of Amway products and the investment in the Amway tool fraud. The more money he spent, the more popular he became among his upline.
I did not spend any money, despite the fact that the money Ambot spent was actually our money, which was overlooked by the upline. Because I attempted to prevent Ambot from purchasing pricey, poor Amway items and spending money on functions, our upline did not appreciate my efforts. So that's why those fuckers didn't like me because I had any influence over our cash and was preventing them from flowing to the top of the pyramid. My heart bleeds for you, I can't tell you how much it does! The IBO bastards who are phoney asses and rude and greedy aren't fond of me. Arrrrrrrrrrr!
Ambot believed it was his fault that he wasn't generating money in Amway, despite the fact that he was following all of his upline's instructions. As if we needed any more evidence that CORE is ineffective! He didn't follow through with what his superiors instructed him to accomplish. His upline screamed at him, telling him that I was the reason he wasn't successful in Amway and that he would never make money in Amway because I was a negative, unsupportive, unchristian dream stealer, but he refused to leave me. This is a great label to give to someone who is attempting to keep their family from going bankrupt and losing their home as a result of the Amway fraud. Keep the money in our bank account rather than stuffing the pockets of our upline's employees. And those fucking Amway jerks are perplexed as to why I don't like them, given that everyone else seems to. Sorry, but I have no abnormal reverence and adoration for any cretins who have been stupid enough to stay in the Amway cult for a longer period of time than I have.
It took Ambot a long to realise that he was being played for a fool. Then he started asking questions regarding Amway's compensation structure to his upline, which was primarily the sack of shit Platinum. A curt "Never question upline" was thrown at him, and he walked away. He began to have reservations about whether the Amway business was a legitimate means of making money. He was also worried by his upline's animosity for me, which he shared. He no longer attended meetings unless the participants were particularly irritated with him. He no longer purchases hundreds of dollars' worth of Amway items every month. I realised I had a chance. In my conversation with him, I mentioned Merchants of Deception and asked him to read the book. After reading the book, he understood he'd been taken advantage of. Eric Scheibeler was able to address all of his inquiries regarding the remuneration that his upline had refused to provide in the first place. I showed him the NBC Dateline exposé on Amway, which is available for watching on YouTube. He seemed to like it. Ambot has finally come to terms with reality! Amway is a rip-off.
Ambot was well aware that he had been misled, but he remained fond of the people in his upline and desired to maintain his friendship with them. Perhaps after telling his dreams to his superiors and counselling with them so that they became aware of sensitive details about our lives, he came to believe that these people, who were privy to his deepest, most private inner thoughts, were his genuine best friends. To be completely honest, he felt really close to them and enjoyed spending time with them. And he was under the impression that they were concerned about him. He was just wrong!
As I'm sure most of the regular readers have long since figured out, I did not have the same twisted obsession with the fucking Amway upline as most people do!
It was only after Ambot stopped spending money on Amway products and tools and stopped attending meetings that the upline he felt connected to dumped him like a hot coal, which was the source of the problem. That is the reality of spending time with a group of hungry Amway associates. They will only be your best friend if and when you are handing over your money to them, however. Amway partnerships that are bogus. No matter how much you like them or how close you feel to these con artists, if you don't hand over your money to them, they will have absolutely nothing to do with you.
Gee It was probably my parents who taught me this lesson when I was about 5 years old: if friends only like you because they want your money, they aren't really friends at all.
Yes, that age-old piece of wisdom is absolutely correct when it comes to Amway associates.Emotional injury has increased in severity. Amway Independent Business Owners (IBOs) are taught to tell everyone who is not a part of the Amway organisation that they are losers. Their training teaches them to tell everyone in their downline that if they don't make money at Amway - the easiest job on the planet - they're a loser. After he was fired from Amway, Ambot had a genuine sense of being a loser. He was a loser since he couldn't make money no matter how hard he tried or how many hours he put in at Amway each month (he put in more than 100). Not to mention the fact that I spend an average of $700 per month on the Amway programme.
It's amusing how different individuals perceive things. I'm the polar opposite of Ambot. I believe that Amway Independent Business Owners (IBOs) are the actual losers, not the general public.
After leaving Amway, I believe Ambot was filled with remorse, and I believe this was the case. Because he didn't spend his money on Amway products and tools, he felt guilty about not making his new best buddies happy. He was filled with guilt about the fact that he wasn't good enough to be their friend anymore. Sadness at the fact that they no longer cared about him.
There's a breaking news storey! They didn't give a damn about Ambot. They were solely concerned with getting their hands on his money!
The emotional devastation that Amway and their cult leaders have left in their wake is awful to witness. One day, karma will come after those cretins and bite them in the behind. In certain instances, it has already happened!
So, who is to blame here? This site has made a star out of those horrible lying upline bastards who screwed with the wrong person and ended up on it. They have no one else to blame but themselves for the appearance of a blog called Married To An Ambot on the internet. They, on the other hand, will never consider anything as their fault. They are completely harmless. Because they are members of Amway, they are the chosen few who are superior to everyone else in their field.
Bastards who are conceited and arrogant.

1.1 Acquiring an Understanding of Amway
Amway is an international multi-level marketing (MLM) corporation that distributes a wide variety of products, including those related to health and wellness, beauty, and home care. Its name is an abbreviation for the phrase "the American Way." Amway is a multi-level marketing company that was established in 1959. The company runs through a network of independent distributors who receive commissions from sales made by their downlines and attract others to join the business.
1.2 The Allure of the Amway Brand
Amway sells itself to individuals as a chance for them to attain financial independence, personal growth, and business ownership through their participation in the company. Many people are tempted to pursue opportunities that provide more adaptable working hours, the possibility of higher earnings, and the assurance of an improved quality of life.
1.3 The Trickery Behind Amway's Business Model
Unfortunately, the business model used by Amway has been subject to criticism due to the fact that it resembles a pyramid scam and engages in misleading activities. MLMs such as Amway frequently place a greater emphasis on recruiting new members than on making actual product sales, which results in financial losses for the vast majority of participants.
Getting Caught in the Amway Snare 2.1 The Initial Contact and Prospective for Manipulation Those looking to join Amway are frequently contacted by ecstatic distributors who paint a picture of a life filled with success, luxury, and financial independence. These recruiters may take advantage of weaknesses and use persuasive strategies in order to generate a feeling of urgency and exclusivity in potential candidates.
2.2 Unrealistic Expectations Regarding Achieving Success And Financial Freedom
Amway distributors present a utopian vision of prosperity and independence by highlighting members of the organization who have reportedly achieved great success. The fact of the matter is, however, that only a small percentage of participants ever reach those levels, which frequently leaves the remaining participants disillusioned and financially depleted.
2.3 The Obligation to Make Financial Investments and Buy Products
Amway distributors frequently put substantial amounts of pressure on new recruits, encouraging them to spend significant sums of money on product inventory, training materials, and attendance at seminars or conferences. Both the emphasis placed on one's own spending as well as the requirement to keep a certain minimum sales volume can result in monetary stress as well as the accumulation of debt.
2.4 Isolation from Different Points of View from the Outside
When a recruit becomes involved with Amway, there is a possibility that they will find themselves cut off from their friends, family, and other support networks. The organization encourages severing relations with cynics and discourages members from looking for critical information or opinions from outside sources regarding the business.
The psychological and monetary cost of it all
3.1 The Experience of Being Confined and Taken Advantage Of
when recruits become more entrenched in the Amway culture, they may begin to experience feelings of confinement when they come to the realization that they have spent their time, money, and connections into an enterprise that appears to become increasingly unreachable. The pressure to fulfill sales targets and recruit additional people can lead to emotional tiredness, worry, and a feeling of being exploited by the company.
3.2 Monetary Misfortunes and Obligations
In spite of assurances that they will be successful financially, the vast majority of people who join Amway have difficulty turning a profit. The high costs of the products, the low demand in the market, and the fierce competition that exists inside the MLM structure frequently lead to financial losses and an accumulation of debt.
3.3 Relationships That Are Put Under Stress And Isolation
The focus that Amway places on recruiting friends, family, and other people you know can put a strain on relationships and cause difficulties to arise. It is possible for the participants in Amway to become further estranged from their loved ones as a result of their isolation from outside opinions and the impact of the company.
Warning Signs to Look Out For 4.1 High-Pressure Sales Techniques
Recruiters for Amway frequently engage in high-pressure sales tactics, in which they encourage prospects to make snap judgments and purchase product inventories or training packages as soon as possible. The sense of immediacy and intensity could be a warning sign of a multi-level marketing scam.
4.2 Unrealistic Expectations Regarding One's Income
Be wary of those that promise you a large income in a short amount of time. MLMs such as Amway frequently overstate potential earnings, leading participants to have unreasonable expectations that are rarely if ever met by the ordinary member in the program.
4.3 A Concentration on Human Resources Rather Than Product Sales
If it looks that the primary focus is on recruiting new members rather than selling products to end consumers, this is a clear indication that the business is structured as a pyramid-like scheme. Product sales and complete happiness of customers should be given first priority in legitimate enterprises.
4.4 The Absence of Transparency and Control Over Information
MLMs like Amway, which is one of the most well-known examples, sometimes regulate the flow of information and prevent participants inquiry into different points of view or critical examination of the firm. If access to financial data, success statistics, or unbiased reviews is restricted, you should exercise extreme caution.
Taking the Necessary Steps to Recover from the Amway Scam
5.1 Taking Responsibility for Your Emotions and Accepting the World as It Is
It might be mentally and emotionally taxing to accept the truth that Amway lied to you and that you fell for their scam. It is essential that you validate your experience, accept your feelings, and refrain from blaming yourself for falling into the trap. Acknowledging and validating your experience is the first step toward healing.
5.2 Look for Help, and Don't Be Afraid to Talk About It
Make contact with those who can provide you with understanding, compassion, and direction, such as friends, family members, or members of a support group. Not only does talking about it make it easier to process the emotional impact, but it also raises awareness about the unethical business methods of multi-level marketing companies (MLMs).
5.3 Reconstructing Your Financial Situation
Determine the extent to which your involvement with Amway has had an effect on your finances, and establish a strategy for restoring them. Creating a budget, paying down debt, looking into extra sources of income, and consulting a professional for assistance, if necessary, are all potential steps in this process.
5.4 Reestablishing Connections with the People in Your Life
It is essential to work on mending relationships that have suffered as a result of your involvement in Amway. Apologize to individuals who have been negatively impacted, and then take action to restore trust. Participate in activities that let people connect with one another and produce fresh and enjoyable experiences together.
5.5 Gaining Wisdom from Previous Mistakes
Take some time to think about what you've picked up from your time with Amway. Build up a healthy level of suspicion when it comes to multi-level marketing programs and other get-rich-quick schemes. Concentrate on improving yourself as a person, being financially literate, and constructing a professional path that is both sustainable and ethical.
Bringing Attention to Issues and Assisting Others
6.1 Please Tell Us Your Tale
You can assist others in recognizing the misleading methods that are utilized by MLMs by sharing your personal experiences with them. To educate people about the perils of multi-level marketing companies like Amway, you might want to think about publishing blog pieces, taking part in online conversations, or even giving public presentations.
6.2 Inform Others About Multi-Level Marketing and the Tricks It May Involve
Share information regarding multi-level marketing companies and the inherent problems they have. Inform others about the dangers of pyramid schemes, the importance of filing income disclosure statements, and the industry's historically low success rates. To better safeguard you, cultivate both critical thinking and financial literacy.
persons from experiencing the same fate as those who did so.
6.3 Encourage and facilitate efforts aimed at protecting consumers
Maintain an awareness of the legislative efforts that are currently under consideration with the intention of boosting consumer protection and regulating MLMs. Participate in consumer advocacy groups and make a contribution to activities that aim to hold multi-level marketing companies accountable for the misleading techniques they employ.
6.4 Encourage the Development of Critical Thinking Abilities and Financial Literacy
You should encourage people in your community, schools, and social circles to develop their critical thinking and financial literacy skills. Give other people the ability to make educated choices about potential income opportunities and assess the claims made by multi-level marketing companies and other questionable businesses.
Conclusion
Getting taken advantage of by Amway can have a significant negative influence on a person's financial situation, relationships, and mental and emotional health. In order to stop other people from falling into the same trap as you did, it is vital to first recognize the warning signals, then find a way to heal from the experience, and then raise awareness. We can protect ourselves and our communities from misleading multi-level marketing (MLM) tactics if we talk about our experiences and encourage people to become financially literate.
