Upchurch, Stuart & Edith
Stuart and Edith Upchurch are Diamonds from Raleigh, North Carolina who are members of the BWW. They received their Diamond qualification in 1997 and are a member of Paul Miller's organisation. Stuart had held a corporate position with Budweiser before to starting his own company. Stuart was forced to choose between Amway and Budweiser after 18 months with the company. He elected to leave Budweiser at 800PV after 18 months with the company.
Stuart and Edith launched their firm in order to generate a third source of income that would allow them to pay off some of their debts. As a result of spending time with their upline Diamond, Paul Miller, and witnessing his lifestyle, they created a larger desire of being able to one day replace their employment income and retire early to enjoy life to the fullest.
Stuart was given an ultimatum at work about 18 months later, when he was working at 800 PV. He was given the option of choosing between his marketing business and his current position. A decision was made between working 60 hours a week with two weeks off a year and earning a decent income or creating an unlimited residual income with the time to enjoy it, setting his own schedule, and surrounding himself with people who are enthusiastic about life and who recognise that each person's success benefits everyone else. He chose the latter.
It was a straightforward decision to make. Their earnings plummeted by a factor of ten. They reduced their level of living, and Stuart launched a window and gutter cleaning service to supplement their income. They did whatever it needed to make ends meet until the firm was able to provide them with the lifestyle they desired.
The Upchurches achieved Platinum status in 1988, after which they changed pins every two years till the present. The revenue they earned from their employment when they launched Emerald more than covered the costs of running the business, and they had the time to do it as well as the money.
As part of the company's incentive scheme, they were treated to all-expense-paid excursions to Orlando, Palm Springs, Puerto Rico, and a Mexican cruise along the way.
Stuart and Edith's lives have taken a significant turn for the better. Today, they like starting the day gently with a cup of coffee and breakfast on their screened porch, which they built for this purpose. It's serene and tranquil, with nothing but trees, grass, and flowers in sight as far as the eye can see. It is a pleasure for Edith to be at home in the house in the country that she has always wished for.
When Stuart is out demonstrating the strategy, she is always accompanied by two dogs, who are her regular companions.
Stuart and Edith are looking forward to a lot more travel in their new role as Diamonds.
They will celebrate their wedding anniversary in the Caribbean, then travel to Colorado for skiing, and then on to Hawaii and Peter Island for the remainder of their trip.
They are now living the life they had always desired, and they are continuing to grow their business in order to assist others in improving their circumstances.
