Amway "Positive"?

Recently, there's been controversy between critics and Amway fans over an issue relating a WWDB function dubbed 'Dream Night". A WWDB IBO claimed that the function was sold out but did not divulge the value of a Dream Night ticket. He later submitted an article claiming that he was sorry for being "negative". Now as a former IBO from WWDB, I was taught to be only positive, That we have too much negative in our life and that we need the positive.

Now I agree that having solely "negatives" in our lives would be counterproductive. That gradually, we will be worn down by just negative. But conversely, the teaching of having only positive in your life can be equally detrimental. I recall an old Twilight Zone episode (Title: A Nice Place to Visit) where a person reportedly dies and he thinks he went to heaven as a man in white came to him and offered to grant him what he desired. He requested for girls and to be a winner at gaming. Well, the man could never lose a single bet. He won every single time and he had girls all over him. He found it to be no challenge and found life so routine and predictable that he asked the man in white if he could lose once in a while or be challenged. The man in white basically responded "no" and the man (I believe his name was Rocky) Rocky, questioned how come heaven was so pathetic (not precisely) (not verbatim). The figure in white proceeded to tell him "what makes you think you're in heaven" and laughed constantly while the Twilight Zone theme finished the episode.

Now being positive and having a good attitude is a wonderful notion and certainly useful for your business, but having only positive and shutting out all negatives is a foolish thing and it seems as if WWDB executives are still teaching it. What happens if your company is subjected to an audit? You notify the IRS agent that you are unable to speak with him if the news is not "good news"? What happens if you visit a doctor? You tell him not to tell you anything until it's good news, don't you think? If a natural calamity occurs in your area, do you switch off the television because the news is not "positive"? What if your body was incapable of feeling pain? Would that be a beneficial development for you? Although it is possible, the reality is that not experiencing pain or experiencing no stress is likely to be damaging to your health.

I feel that certain Amway and WWDB leaders train you to shut out the negative in your life since there are a large number of people who have had terrible experiences with and things to say about Amway and WWDB. This is my informed and personal view based on my knowledge and experience. When in doubt, inquire about Greg Duncan, Dave Shores, Brad Wolgamott, Dean Kosage and a few more notable names in the game of basketball! Inquire with your sponsor or upline about what happened to these individuals. When someone says there is nothing to it or that it is negative, I challenge you to conduct a Google search and find out for yourself. If your upline continues to deny or insists that you should shut out negative, perhaps you should find out what they are hiding by shutting out all negative in your life as well as theirs.

Having solely pleasant experiences in your life is definitely considered "strange." Is that what you want to do with your life?
