Amway Products Have Great Value?

Amway sales in the United States appear to have decreased, according to my observations. Amway's global sales have dropped to 9.5 billion dollars after reaching a high of 11.8 billion dollars a few years ago. If Amway didn't have expansion plans in China and India, I'm curious as to how well they would be doing financially. Even throughout the reign of "Quixtar," I do not believe there has been any significant progress. I believe that the majority of Amway sales are made to Amway Independent Business Owners (IBOs), who are instructed to "purchase from yourself" or "be your own best customer." In the context of the recent FTC vs. Herbalife settlement, independent business owners (IBOs) purchasing products is not an issue as long as they are not purchasing more than they actually sell.

Many Independent Business Owners (IBOs) and Amway apologists assert that Amway products are simply the "best." Some even go so far as to say that Amway items are superior to those sold by large box retailers. A few years ago, several neutral reviews of Amway items compared to name brand products revealed that some Amway goods were regarded as average, others were rated as very expensive, and some were rated as satisfactory. To be sure, quality can only be determined by the individual, and it appears that whether or not one is an IBO is a determining factor in that quality. Retail customers, on the other hand, have spoken out. The cost is a significant factor to consider. WalMart is a good example of this.

This is, of course, the most important question. If Amway products are so fantastic, why do former Independent Business Owners (IBOs) rarely continue to purchase them? I'm referring to the fact that Amway sales would continue to grow gradually year after year if former IBOs continued to purchase items. And here's another point of view on the whole thing. While it is possible that some former IBOs continue to purchase Amway products, I would wager that they do not purchase 100 PV or more per month as they did when they were active IBOs. In order to influence or generate an artificial need for Amway products among the active IBOs, it appears that uplines have mastered the art of manipulating or creating artificial demand. This is a source of disagreement between Amway defenders and Amway detractors since an artificial demand adheres to the letter of the law on legality questions.

There are tens of millions of ex-IBOs in the world. In the United States, there are less than 200 certified diamonds. I believe there are more lottery winners than there are diamonds that qualify for certification. What is the reason, then, why Amway sales aren't continually increasing despite the fact that there are tens of millions of former IBOs and hundreds of thousands of current IBOs? I believe this is due to the fact that Amway Independent Business Owners (IBOs) are the primary customers of Amway products, whereas previous IBOs are not. Due to the ease with which knowledge can be found on the internet, prospects who are approached can easily Google Joecool's blog or other information-rich websites to make an informed decision. I feel that this is one of the reasons why sales are down in the United States, as recruiting and sponsorship of new IBOs are down.

So, if Amway products are of such high quality, why don't the vast majority of former IBOs continue to use them?
