I frequently hear people refer to the integrity of their upline as "upline integrity." On a regular basis, I wonder how a downline can tell whether his or her upline is trustworthy. I decided to look up the word on dictionary.com to see if it would help to continue the discussion:
Integrity (/ntgrti/) is a term that refers to the state of being integrated. Spelled [in-teg-ri-tee] in a different way Display the IPA noun
devotion to moral and ethical values; soundness of one's moral character; forthrightness
integrity is defined as the state of being complete, complete, or undiminished: to maintain or restore the integrity of an empire.
3. being in good, undamaged, or flawless condition: the structural integrity of a ship's hull.
Based on these definitions, I would have to conclude that a large number of uplines are lacking in integrity. What I base my opinion on is a valid question to which I will respond later in this section. My prior uplines have demonstrated a lack of integrity on a number of occasions. Oddly, I keep hearing that Amway and WWDB are undergoing positive transformation, however the same old, same old continues to be the case.
Take a look at all of the lies that have been told by upline in the past. There is no profit to be made from tools. If you were a member of WWDB in the mid-1990s, you are aware that this is correct, and that uplines lied. It appears that they also lied about purchasing everything in cash, as proven by the very recent house foreclosures and bankruptcy filings by Diamonds International. When one diamond commented on Amway and WWDB's non-existent divorce rate, she was no longer a member of WWDB and was either divorced or in the process of being divorced. For example, take a look at the mess that certain leaders produced by making false statements about Amway's "perfect water." I understand that selling $50 cases of water is difficult, but lying about it, in my opinion, demonstrates a lack of honesty.
Even now, there's a link on my site to a blog called "Rocket's Rants," where he has provided evidence to the Amway corporation of an Amway IBOAI and WWDB leader who claims that IBOs may make hundreds of thousands of dollars each month by selling Amway products. Pay attention; I'm interested in seeing what kind of integrity the corporation demonstrates (or lack of).
IBOs who talk about integrity, in my opinion, are either misinformed or have a distorted understanding of what integrity is.
