I'm A Winner, You're A Loser?

One of the things that my upline emphasised, and I believe is being taught today in various groups is that winners join Amway and losers do not. Or that you were a winner because you were doing something to better your financial future and others who didn't were losers. or broke minded. Of course the upline who claimed this had no knowledge of those who were not in Amway. Some of them may previously have been financially sound or may have been doing anything to boost their financial future. I'm not sure why these uplines, who advocate "positive", had to resort to labelling individuals losers simpy because they did not believe that Amway was the best thing since sliced bread.

In many games or sporting events, there will be someone or a team that wins the game and someone or a team that loses the game. Losing a game doesn't make you a loser and surely, a side that wins the game would not suggest the losing team were losers. Can you picture a sports team's coach addressing the podium after a game and stating his team won because the other squad was a bunch or broke minded gutless losers? That would never happen, yet we see that constantly in the Amway/IBO world. The owner of Amway, Rich DeVos had once mentioned in a recorded message that just because people do not agree with you (paraphrased) about Amway, does not make them losers and that IBOs should not call people losers.

In all of this, people's employment are also ridiculed. That a job stand for "barely over broke" or "jackass of the employer" and other blurbs. Many IBO's objectives and desires consist of abandoning their job so they can sleep all day and live a life of luxury. Ironically, it is most IBO's occupations that continue to create revenue so they can pay their expenses and feed their family. An IBO's responsibilities also include funding their Amway and AMO expenses, such as product purchases and functions, as well as voicemail, among other things. Most people would be unable to even join Amway or purchase any tools if they did not have a job. Unfortunately, most Independent Business Owners (IBOs) will not make any money in Amway and will be required to continue working at their current jobs. I do not feel that someone who earns a decent livelihood through employment is a loser in life. Ironically, many of the people who label others as losers are themselves not even making a profit from their Amway business!

Yes, there will be winners and losers in this company, just as there will be winners and losers in sports. The question is whether you are the one who has the authority to determine who is and who isn't allowed to participate. In addition, I believe that IBOs are absolutely sabotaging any future business opportunities through their actions. Consider the following scenario: I went to a store to purchase something, but the item was not available on that specific day, so I did not make a purchase and simply left. As I walk out the door, the business owner tells me that I am a loser for not purchasing things from him. Is it likely that I'll return? It's really unlikely. If an IBO sincerely believes that they are a store owner, they should consider all possibilities as possible customers, whether they are in the future or present. If your upline tells you that those who aren't interested are losers, you should question him about how much money he's making from the Amway business opportunity. Your reaction to the solution could surprise you!
