Justification And Making Excuses?

One thing I heard after seeing the plan was how people defend their status in life. Or as the diamond said, "making excuses". I would suppose that this is still tossed in when folks are exhibiting the strategy to potential recruits. What the speaker mentioned was that people explain their station in life so that they feel better that they are doing okay or doing better than others. One such statement was how public education was okay for me therefore it's completely okay for my kids. Whereas diamonds can send their kids to elite private schools perhaps?

Or how a man would urge his wife to look in the freezer if she wanted to go on an Alaskan trip. This is called justification. Another issue mentioned was that a man can declare he's doing better than such and so, or that they are "doing alright". Afterall, why just settle for okay when you can work for 2-5 years and then retire? Why not put in that effort? Why continue to defend yourself (create excuses) when you can just get it done? On the surface, this may sound rational, but keep in mind that most people, even those that put in a significant effort, will never obtain the promised financial advantages stated in the 2-5 year plan. Most of these people, even those who work hard, will end up with losses, others will end up with life threatening financial losses.

The really terrible element of the whole process is that the upline will credit the little amount of success in the firm while pinning failure upon the IBOs, even if they put in a sincere attempt. Most people may not notice, but what uplines are doing is explaining their own deficiencies as well as the system's blatant inability to deliver on what they promise to their customers. According to my understanding, just one in every 20,000 people in the United States and Canada ever reaches the rank of diamond. Why do so many people give up before achieving their goal, despite the enormous rewards (retirement, lifelog residual income) that they stand to gain? The majority of IBOs that put in the effort are dedicated and persistent. Certainly, not all of those people were sluggish. The only logical conclusion is that the diamonds deceive individuals about the system's success rate and that the system itself is ineffective and inefficient. Even the presence of an occasional diamond does not imply system success. The staggering failure rate offers a more true picture of the situation. When you include in the high pricing in the Amway catalogues, you have still another barrier to success.

To my mind, it appears that it is the upline and system promoters who are forced to justify and make excuses for their systems, which do not have any legitimate, unbiased evidence of success behind them. Nothing except apologies and excuses are offered, which is exactly what they criticise others of providing. If you are new to the company or considering joining, are you producing money or are you relying on the excuses that your upline instilled in you?
