One of the things my (WWDB) upline advised us on a regular basis was to "simply keep making more money." This was about the influence that growing prices of goods and services have on our lives. For example, a friend of mine who works for a gas company has predicted that the price of gasoline in the United States would continue to rise until it exceeds $6.00 a gallon in the future. Your Amway upline will most likely tell you that you need to make more money by working harder in your business. My upline most definitely did.
Now, for the vast majority of IBOs, you are most certainly losing money as a result of the "system," which consists of books, meetings, standing orders, and other administrative responsibilities. You cannot simply decide to "earn more money" because you desire to do so. Because WWDB leaders instilled this thinking in me, there was a moment when I thought like that. Amway was supposed to be the solution to this problem, but for the vast majority of people, the Amway opportunity ends up being a source of further debt rather than a means of earning additional income. You have been indoctrinated to believe that all you need to do to address your financial problems is to generate more money by "being core" and working hard in your business. Unfortunately, due of the advise of their valued "mentors and business coaches," the vast majority of hardworking IBOs will end up with "less money."
However, in WWDB (my former LOS), some of the leaders and mentors may have been exposed as frauds because some of them had financial difficulties, including home foreclosures, exposing them as liars and frauds. Ironically, many of these very leaders stood on a large stage claiming that WWDB diamonds pay cash for everything and that people who make loans are "stupid." Making you question the integrity of such leaders is a scary thought. For the most part, these leaders are still putting this nonsense into the hands of students today.
You may believe that earning more money is the straightforward solution to many of your difficulties, but attending functions and listening to standing orders will not likely help you to resolve these issues in the short term. Seriously.
