The Dude In The Suit

It has been mandated by the Amway cult leaders that Amway ambots must dress in business attire for all Amway meetings and whenever they meet with prospects that they hope to attract into the Amway pyramid system.

However, what ambots fail to recognise is that just because they put on a business suit and carry a cell phone does not automatically qualify them as legitimate "company owners." They are still acting as though they are business owners.

If someone has already built a reputation among their friends, family, and coworkers as a casual dresser, seeing them in a suit outside of church will cause people to raise their eyebrows and wonder what the sudden strange fixation with dressing up is all about.

Several years ago, I heard the expression "dress for success." I was intrigued. That could have been true a few decades ago, but not anymore. When I was younger, I recall going to the bank and seeing that the men were dressed in suits and the women were dressed in business-like clothing. If you walk into a bank nowadays, you may see some employees dressed in suits, but the vast majority are dressed in more casual attire.

Customers will feel more at ease if you dress in a more relaxed manner. If you're dressed casually in jeans and a golf shirt and walk into a room full of suits, your first impression is that you've arrived in the wrong place and that you need to get out of there as soon as possible.Years ago, I was employed for a company that was housed in a three-story building. There are approximately 100 employees. Learning everyone's names takes time, especially when it comes to the folks that work on different levels. I was dropping something off on another floor when I became aware of some sort of scuffle at the fax machine. I'm not sure what it was at the time. Approximately 5 or 6 different fax numbers were being sent out to different departments, and I had a strong suspicion that someone had faxed the erroneous

number, and the man who required the information was standing guard at the fax machine, waiting for it and sounding irritated about it. One of the women returned to her desk, grumbling something about the dude in the suit, and she was not alone. I took a look around. Indeed, this individual appeared to be dressed appropriately for a funeral. We had no idea who he was at the time. Because the dress code in our office was casual, he did appear to be out of place. The only people in suits were the president and, on occasion, senior management employees, depending on whether they were in meetings on that particular day or not. With the exception of the guy in the black funeral outfit. I never once saw Mr. Dude-in-the-Suit dressed in a more casual manner during my whole time working for that organisation.

I know someone who worked in the human resources department of a huge firm, and their department was in charge of enforcing dress regulations in the workplace. She explained that the workplace was business casual, and she explained that she had to keep up with current fashion trends and make alterations to the company's policy in order to be current and up to date. These days, women are not compelled to dress formally for their jobs, regardless of their gender. Pantyhose are not required if they do not want to. (Not in the Amway organisation, by the way!) The majority of the companies for which I worked had casual dress codes. Torn clothing, T-shirts, baseball caps, and anything else that would be more fitting for a day at the beach were not permitted by authorities. Despite the fact that they are wearing a formal shirt, capris or knee-length shorts, and casual footwear, women can nevertheless appear stylish. Friday is often designated as "jeans day" at many workplaces. Perhaps this is more effective in other climates. The problem is that it's too hot outside to wear jeans on Fridays, which is why many of the companies I worked for had jeans day every Friday or pay day Fridays. Thank you, but no thanks. It would have been much better to wear casual gear like shorts or capris, which I did the remainder of the week. The majority of business owners and managers have realised that people who are comfortable in their own skin are more comfortable engaging with others and can be more productive at their places of employment. It's far better than hating your boss because he's making you wear a monkey suit!

What ambots fail to recognise is that they are out of touch with the times and do not keep up with current fashion trends in the same way that actual business proprietors do. Business suits that are worn all of the time in the workplace are a thing of the past. Smart businesspeople understand the importance of putting others at ease. Dressing in a casual manner implies a relaxed mood, and people who dress in a casual manner feel comfortable in their surroundings. A business suit in a fast-food restaurant like McDonald's or Dunkin' Donuts stands out like a sore thumb. And it is a dead giveaway that the person who is wearing such a clothing at one of those locations is a member of an MLM. A few weeks ago, I noticed a man in a business suit standing outside Krispy Kreme, staring eagerly at the entrance, wondering when the prospect he'd scheduled a meeting with would walk in. If the prospect was wise, he or she would never do it. I noticed the scoundrel as soon as I stepped through the door and guessed he was most likely an ambot. Avoid making direct eye contact at all costs!

As a result of its male chauvinist pig mindset, decades old dress code, use of antiquated technology (Communikate), and inability to transition into the twenty-first century and keep up with current fashion trends, Amway is falling behind the times.

Attending BBQs, coffee shops, meetings held in someone's living room, or sitting in the stands at a sports arena listening to Amway cult leaders spew their garbage is not required in business attire, nor should it be. When the temperatures are soaring, it is extremely important not to dress in heavy suits, dresses, or pantyhose to avoid overheating. Wearing a work suit simply serves to impress the Amway cult leader who told you to do so in order to demonstrate your loyalty to the jerk. Keep the suits for special occasions such as church, funerals, job interviews, and other important occasions. There is nothing about Amway that is serious enough to warrant the wearing of a suit!

Quit Amway and you'll be able to wear whatever you want without being restricted. This means that you're wearing the same style of clothes as everyone else. There's no longer any reason to stand out like a geek!

That's right; once again, I'm sending a hearty fuck you to our Amway upline and their century-old mindset.
