During Amway meetings, one of the things we heard over and over and over was the phrase "walking across the stage." It refers to the fact that when ambots attained a particular level of Amway items sold in their business or via the combined efforts of any downline they may have who purchased Amway products, they would "walk across the stage" at the following rally.
The bottom starting was at 1000 pin level, which meant that 1000 points bonus in Amway items had to be sold in order for the month to be successful. Alternatively, around $3000 worth of shoddy, overpriced Amway products may be obtained.
Our Platinum referred to the majority of ambots who reach the 1000 pin mark as "fake pins." Hold on a second! What's more, guess what? This is a once in a lifetime opportunity! Apparently, that piece of trash said something to which I agree!
Given that the Amway business is based on the tagline "buy from your own business," the vast majority of the $3000 would be purchased by the ambot himself, provided that he had enough credit available on his credit card to cover the expense.
At the very least, once. If you look about the home after the first shot, you'll find a whole lot of Amway junk. If your wife has anything to say about it, this better not fucking happen again! Get rid of all of this garbage!
Spending $3000/month on worthless, overpriced Amway stuff becomes too expensive after a while. The old credit card can only take so much abuse before it snaps.
Neither can his wife!
Both the financial blow as well as being trapped with Amway stuff in the house were devastating!
This was a taunting message to ambots delivered at every Amway cult gathering. "Are you sure you don't want to step across the stage?"
Uh. No. Because it's not as if I haven't already walked across a stage enough times in my life. When you grow up in this part of the world, one of the pleasures of growing up is that theatre classes and school plays are fairly prevalent. I've spent enough time on stages. I've been there. That has been completed. It is no longer necessary to do so. Being on stage isn't a big problem in the grand scheme of things.
Except, of course, if you're an Amway ambot, in which case the cult leaders make a huge deal out of it.
A rally is the term used to describe this type of Amway cult meeting. When the dumb ass ambots that spent too much money on their credit card to reach the 1000 pin level go across the stage, it is considered a victory. Higher pin levels may also be walking across the stage on the same day or night as the lower pin level players.
I recall attending three different rallies. I may have gone to more than three, but I recall three of them for a variety of reasons. The following occurs at rallies in which ambots "walk across the stage": the speaker instructs the ambots to line up on one side of the stage in the order of the pin level they have reached since the previous rally. Of course, the speaker - Emerald or Diamond, I can't remember which one was speaking at the time - has no idea who is walking across the platform, with the exception of perhaps a few people from their own line. Thus, he calls for the 1000 pins, and approximately 100 people form a line. They make their way across the stage, and they are instructed to keep things brief. Walk across the stage to the microphone, introduce yourself and extol the virtues of the fantastic cult leaders in their upline, and then haul asses off the other end of the platform. It's still taking an eternity. It would take longer to sit through a presentation of Snow White!! When those bastards have finished prancing across the platform, the speaker instructs the 2500 pins to form a line in front of them. And now the length of the line is significantly reduced. I think it's whoever has the highest credit card limit available. For the upper levels, there is almost no one in line, and they are allowed to speak for extended periods of time. I'm talking about shutting the fuck up, you cult leaders-in-waiting. Nobody gives a damn about anything!
It is unpleasant to participate in rallies because they take so long due to the large number of phoney 1000 pins who will almost certainly never be a 1000 pin again. Once that happens, things get worse because the higher pins can blab for 15 or 20 minutes at a time. It only appears to be taking longer!
Basically, if you spend enough money on your credit card in one month to reach 1000 pin, you will receive around 15 seconds of Amway celebrity as a horde of cult members cheers you on as you go across the stage. Is it really worth it to pay $3000 or more? Sign up for a local theatrical performance; it will cost you less money, and you will most likely spend more time walking on the stage and being more loved as a result.
