Amway IBO Dishonest Or Doesn't Understand Taxes?

Despite the fact that I've read similar blogs by Amway business owners in the past, this one caught my attention because of the level of detail and the level of passion the blog author demonstrates. For the most part, he lost money in Amway, but he considers himself to have achieved success because, after receiving his tax refund, he claims to have made a net profit. The things these Amway/WWDB executives can persuade people to believe are incredible.

The following are excerpts from the book. The blog owner claims to have made a net profit as a result of receiving a tax refund. It is unclear how he arrived at that refund, but it appears that his losses in Amway reduced his tax liability for any income tax that had already been withheld from his paycheck (job) or from any estimated taxes he had paid in advance for a business or some other venture prior to his losses in Amway. It's extremely frightening, and it demonstrates how some people can remain loyal to Amway for such a long period of time while suffering losses. The IBOs are trained to "believe" that they made money while in fact they did not!

In accordance with what they have taught me, even though I barely saw any improvement in my overall organisation (ie: I was miserably lazy, didn't put in any effort, and only marginally grew the size of the organisation - #sadface), I did not experience any financial loss.

The following is a breakdown of total costs during 2013:

Communikate is worth $443.40.

Delivery using digital means: $300.00

Premier Membership is $599.40 per year.

$595.00 for the most important functions

Hotels for large functions: $750.00

240,000.00 dollars in Business Support Materials

The total cost of doing business is $2927.80.

Let's get everything together right here, people.

Amway's total payout in 2013 was $21112.36.

The total cost of doing business is -$2927.80.

= $815.44 in U.S. dollars

I said it last year, and I'll say it again: I've been taken advantage of! I've made a financial mistake! My upline lied to me on several occasions! Everybody save myself is to blame for not putting in any effort to sponsor somebody during the previous year. The company is unable to function! What a complete and utter rip-off!!!”

Mr. Negative, please take a deep breath – The fact that I am running my own business in a country that encourages entrepreneurs to start their own businesses has resulted in me receiving tax benefits that have resulted in me receiving a $2409.76 tax refund for the year 2013. Let's try this one more time, shall we?

Amway's total payout in 2013 was $21112.36.

The total cost of doing business is -$2927.80.

The total amount of tax refund for 2013 is $2409.76.

= $1594.32 dollars

So, to summarise, I think I have made my point very clear: you will not lose money if you start your own Amway business powered by World Wide Dreambuilders.... If you are responsible with your finances and do not exceed the budget that your coach has set for you, you will be successful. It is inevitable that you will lose money running your own Amway Business powered by ANY training system if you don't plan ahead of time, don't ask for help in setting a budget, don't adhere to your budget, and so on.

It is important that you are aware of some of the data I mentioned above regarding the cost of accessing your training and mentorship system if your potential sponsor is linked with WWDB and following the instructions they have received.
